Ques about Disney Visa discount for Jan

Hey everyone!
First time poster here, feel free to poke at me if I do anything wrong

Anyway, I'm a huge Disney fan, but am now planning the first trip together for DH and I. We're going to be in WDW for New Year's, and earlier this year I got the Disney Visa card to get any special deal. I saw that they have the 40% off deal and that's great--I was so excited when I called in about it!

However, the CM that I talked to said that since we're checking in on Dec 31, we can't get it. Is there no wiggle room here? Do you recommend that I call back and try again, or do a split stay or something? We're doing WL CL, so a discount would be really worth it.

Definitely see about changing your ressie to a split stay. I believe the first day for the Visa offer is Jan. 3. Rack Rate for the entire stay is a bit much, so even a little bit of a discount would help!

There is also a 4/3 deal out right now, but I'm not sure if you can use it beginning 12/31 (I think there are holiday blackout dates). If your trip is longer than 7 days, you might check into that option as well (again, you may need to do a split stay).

Not sure how long you are staying but here is what we did. We already have plane tickets booked 12/31-1/9. The 5/2, 4/3 promo didn't help us much because it doesn't start until 1/3. The Disney Visa discount starts 1/1 so we switched to a mod and saved quite a bit. Only catch is that we haven't been able to book 12/31 by itself at POR so as of now I have us booked at ASM suites for that night at rack rate. Best of luck with your plans.

We are going from 12/31-19 at POFQ woohoo! the disney visa discount didnt start til 1/3 our CM was the best! she did a split stay for us and we got the discount from 1/3-1/9 40% off saved us about $400 i have seen on the boards that there is pin floating around for discounts for 12/25-12/31 i would love to find that one too!

you just have to keep calling til you get a CM that will work with you is my advice

you may want to ask again. i rec'vd a discount for the 1st and 2nd-40% off holiday rate. Top of the promo says 1/1 but for the example below it they show savings off value rate 1/3 and beyond. haven't come across anything for 12/31 though.

I used the code for later in the month and was told it wouldn't work for CL. Also, the only deluxe I could book was GF. I have been calling every few days, but no luck with other resorts yet! Hoping for the Poly.
