Today would be a confusing day as everyone was doing different parks. We had breakfast together at Dunkin Donuts before saying goodbye to Linda and Graham who were heading to EPCOT. We drove Roger to Blizzard Beach and agreed to pick him up at the gates at 12. Me and Scott headed over to Animal Kingdom as there were still a few things I wanted to see.

Dinosaur was open so we headed onto that first, I don’t remember much of it as I had my face buried it Scott’s shoulder for much of the ride. You could barely see my face at all on the ride photo but I didn’t look half as scared as a woman I spotted in another vehicle. I found a figurine of a Dinosaur in the shop which was cheap do I grabbedit quickly. A quick ride on Triceratop Spin was more relaxing and gave me chance to take some good photos from the high vantage point. Afterwards as I waited for Scott by the restrooms I was accosted by a friendly dinosaur so we grabbed a quick picture. On our way out of Dinoland a CM was announcing that Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore were down a small alley for photo ops. As I hadn’t met any characters yet, plus Eeyore and Tigger are two of my favourites, we decided to go and get some pictures taken with them. It was great as the area was so quiet and I even got ever the photo shy Scott to pose with his favourite Tigger.

We made our way through Asia looking at al the animals we could see and headed to the Wildlife Express which took us up to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Scott had never been here either so we walked up the path slowly looking at all the animals. When we got to the Discovery Centre we had a quick look around before Scott noticed a female CM showing a Tarantula to a group of kids. That was it, he was out of there in a heartbeat. I promised to meet him in the Affection Section in a few minutes. About a minute later I came across a room the contained a very large python so I made a hasty exit too! We went and got some photos of the animals in the Affection Section, definitely more our kind of creatures before heading back to catch the Wildlife Express back to Harambe.

We made our way slowly back to the car park, veering off down all the little pathways to see the strange and exotic animals. We got back to the car and headed back to collect Roger from Blizzard Beach; we even managed to get lost en route and ended up at the All Stars gates! After collecting him and hearing that he’d plucked up the courage to do Summit Plummit, then done it about another 5 times in a row, we drove to the Magic Kingdom car park. Although we’d agreed to meet Graham and Linda in EPCOT for the afternoon, we were spending our evening in the Magic Kingdom so we left the car there and hopped a monorail over to EPCOT instead. The Monorail ride was fun but unnerving as you cannot see the track below and it seems like you’re gliding through thin air.

We found Graham and Linda easily in EPCOT and we spent the afternoon in Future World riding Mission: Space, Test Track and Spaceship Earth. We also had a walk around World Showcase and got some food in America. As we were eating, a troop of soldiers marched through the room to the outside where they performed some sort of show before marching back through. It was all very enjoyable. By now evening was closing in so Scott, Roger and I decided to head to the magic Kingdom for one last evening. We said goodbye to Graham and Linda who were staying in EPCOT for Illuminations as it’s their favourite and agreed to meet them for dinner after the parks shut.

We caught the monorails to the Magic Kingdom and had a wonderful time revisiting our favourite rides one last time. I bought my jelly beans in Liberty just before Wishes. We watched the show from our favourite place, the steps of the Liberty Bell although I was crying through most of it as I knew this was my last night in Disney for a long time. We made our way slowly out of the park and caught the ferry. I stood at the back and watched the castle for as long as I could, crying the whole journey through, before it vanished behind the trees for the last time. We got in the car and I amazed myself by not bursting into more tears as we drove by the exit sign “See Ya Real Soon!” although I was crying a river inside.

By the time we made it to Golden Corral, I’d finally managed to stop! Graham and Linda were already there and had bought plates for us all so we just walked straight in. They’d had a wonderful time together in EPCOT that evening. When we finally got back to Summer Bay we discussed what to do on our last full day in Florida. It had always been a dream of mine to visit Kennedy Space Centre but we’d heard that it had taken pretty severe damage during the hurricane. We decided to check it out in the morning and see if it was worth visiting.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

I hate saying goodbye to the castle too, we all stood on the top deck of the ferry watching it disappearing in the distance. We had a family hug, said what a fantastic holiday we had and me and DH decided we would do our utmost to get back there.

Lovely report. :)
