Greetings! Has anyone recently toured the Queen Mary with kids? Ours are 7 & 9, I think would enjoy touring the ship, but I'm concerned it could get boring very fast. I'm also concerned my in-laws (78 & 79) might get bored quickly too. We're thinking of getting a CityPass, and checking off possible things to do with kids/grandparents alike.

I haven't visited since 1992-ish, so I'm no help to myself! I think the Spruce Goose was still housed there during my last trip too.

Anyway - wondering if there is a particular tour over the others that might be of interest - maybe more focused rather than 'here's an audio phone, take a self-tour'? Someone on TripAdvisor said the SpongeBob 4D movie is actually pretty awesome even for adults, so put aside any hatred of SpongeBob and give it a shot. Hmm ....

Would appreciate any tips/tricks for the Queen Mary! Thanks.

If you look in my signature and the TR it has pictures of the Queen Mary. We did the self quided tour. The only difference is you don't get into the pool area. I don't know anything about the sponge bob movie, so no help there. Spruce is long gone. I don't know if the submarine is there to tour also. That was quite neat to see. There is the aquarium close by also.

You can check out these sites for the Long Beach area as well.
