Queen, Jasmine and a Disney Virgin...will he love it like we do?

My heart just jumped a little when I saw my ticker....I have never planned a trip in this amount of time and I'm starting to stress a little. I was in full panic mode the other night there because I couldn't find an airfare deal to save my life. I'm terrified to book out of Fargo in case of a blizzard, that would be my luck after all:confused3 On Tuesday though, the direct flight from Orlando to Winnipeg was on sale for $168 woo hoo I booked it for Thomas and Jasmine...that's right people I booked their return not their departure:rotfl: I know it sounds crazy but I wanted that direct flight home in the worse way, I didn't want 4 hours sitting in Toronto airport again, when you're on your way home you just wanna get home:cloud9:

So, the children are booked, I am not. Why you ask? I am using my visa points and to use them I have to book round trip. I am hoping that will be tomorrow. I am currently looking at leaving Winnipeg on Westjet at 1pm or 325pm on Friday the 29th. I would prefer the 1pm flight only because we need to collect our luggage and pass through customs in Toronto. Sometimes it can be a little too close for comfort...it will also give us time to grab a bite before we depart.

I will keep you posted as to how the flight dilemma unfolds....please cross your fingers for us:rolleyes1

So glad you liked my idea :goodvibes

Fingers crossed for you! :)

Thanks so much Dawn. I think I'm going to book 1900 Park Fare. When I was reading the official cake thread, all the good stuff seems to come out of there and the Yacht and Beach Club. I figure we'll be at the Magic Kingdom, might as well just book....I'll keep you posted.

|I'm in... :surfweb:

:welcome: I am so happy to have you join us.....

Great Report - What lucky kids! :)

Hope things went okay with getting your flight!

pixiedust: and fingers crossed for your flights!

:dance3: for the chocolates idea!! might have to try that as our "reward" for running the 5K in March?! ;)

Got my fingers crossed for ya!

Thanks hon....Got up this morning and got on the phone at 6am only to hear a recording that our redemption centre doesn't open until 7am....what to do for an hour:confused3 Anyhoo, I booked my round trip because using my visa points it has to be done 14 days in advance and that was today. I didn't book the kids one way to Orlando yet....I will check every morning before leaving for work. Thanks for thinking of us.

Thanks for reading along....they are lucky kids!! Thomas is a tad more excited than Jasmine....but I think she is enjoying seeing it through his eyes.

I cannot wait for the looks on their faces...Jasmine may find out as she does come on the boards, but hopefully she'll keep it a secret from Thomas.

popcorn:: Can't wait for more!!! Sounds like it will be fun!!!

Thanks so much and welcome!!! I am so excited about this trip....2 weeks today we'll be boarding our flight right now for the last leg of our journey to Orlando.:cloud9:

Hi Queen!! I almost had a heart attack when I saw that you hadn't booked all your flights yet!!! That kills an overprepared person like me!!!! LOL I am glad that you got your roundtrip flights booked, now just to get Jas and Thomas there!! Have you been reading any of the info on the Canadian section on here about what we can carry on the planes?? They give a good link to the CATSA (I think that is the canadian air saftey thing) site for pics and defintions...can't wait to hear more final details!!

Oh trust me Tiff, kills me too!! If it was just me booking for Jasmine I would have booked. But Thomas' parents are willing to pay $500 for airfare and right now with return it's $665.....so I wait:eek: Yup that' exactly how I feel...scared they're not going to come down. Normally for all our other trips I book airfare months in advance....lol.....

I did look that up....I love how they put pictures. I showed them to Jasmine and the one looks just like her lululemon bag so I broke it to her she can't take it this trip.

I will be posting another installment in the morning.......

Well here I sit on a glorious Saturday morning with my coffee ready to write another installment. Does life get any better? I guess in 2 weeks when we're walking through the entrance to EPCOT.:lmao:

I checked the flights as soon as I got up this morning and guess what? They're still not on sale....this is making me crazy:scared1: Oh well it will be what it will be I guess....I just want it to be cheaper:banana:

I think I have finally finalized our schedule .... but having said that, I have changed it quite a few times and then was trying to figure out which one I should go with....ahhhh planning, gotta love it:woohoo:

Ok, god willing, we'll all be on the same flight on Friday January 29 leaving Winnipeg at 1pm, landing in Toronto at 5:20pm (we have a 30 minute stop in Thunder Bay but we don't have to get off the plane) then leave Toronto at 8:10pm arriving into Orlando at 10:55pm.

We will collect our luggage, which I actually put on my index card for that day because we're so used to going straight to Magical Express and not worrying about it:laughing: So with luggage in hand we'll head to ASMo and check in. I am one of those people who has to have everything put away in the drawers and the toiletries all out etc before I go to bed:rolleyes1 I just feel so much more organized to really begin our trip in the morning then.

We decided that Jasmine will get up first everyday because she does take the longest amount of time to get ready...it's not that she does a lot, it's that she has one speed and it ain't quick:rotfl2: Then I will get up and shower and I'll still be ready before her...finally Thomas, I'm guessing he'll take all of 15 minutes if that;)

We will have breakfast every morning at the hotel so that when we get to the parks we're ready for whatever comes our way.

Ok, I'm blabbing now, on with the schedule;

Saturday January 30 will be spent at EPCOT with an ADR for lunch at Le Cellier...I was extremely excited to get this one as I know how difficult it is. You will notice most of our ADR's are for lunch, I figured it would give us a break in the middle of the day since we won't be going back for an afternoon rest and swim everyday like we do in the summer months

Sunday January 31....Magic Kingdom with lunch at The Plaza...never eaten here so a first for all of us:cool1:Spectromagic isn't on this particular evening, but we will stay for Wishes:cloud9:

Monday February 1....DHS with lunch at Sci Fi...Jasmine really wanted to book this as Thomas is a car guy so she thought he would love the old cars and setting.... I'm looking forward to seeing Block Party Bash as we were always back at the hotel when it was on.

Tuesday February 2....Animal Kingdom...lunch at Rainforest Cafe...another place we haven't been to in years...with it not being on the dining plan we haven't booked anything, but this trip it's a go.:woohoo: I think we may go to DTD in the evening so I booked WPC....my mouth waters everytime I think of the macadamia nut crusted chicken....yummy:thumbsup2

Wednesday February 3....Magic Kingdom...lunch at LTT. Spectro and Wishes both play this evening, I can hardly stand the excitement, then I booked an 830pm ADR at 1900 Park Fare...it's a surprise:rolleyes1

Thursday February 4....DHS....lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe then Fantasmic in the evening...

Friday February 5...Epcot lunch at Tutto Italia (Jasmine's favorite restaurant in all the land) and then I believe a grey goose slushie or 5....we will be there all day and night...that's not wrong is it:confused3

Saturday February 6...whichever park Thomas loved the most we will go back to....we will probably just do CS on this day as it will be too hard to book anything at the last minute.....maybe DTD in the evening:rotfl:who am I kidding, it's our last night of course we'll be there:worship:

Sunday February 7....our flight home is at 830pm so we really have the day to do something, but we're going to play it all by ear and see what we all feel like doing.

Everytime I look at this schedule I think of something to change....maybe now that it's down on paper...I'll leave it alone.....

Queen your schedule sounds great!! I can feel your excitement as I read it!! Your ADR's are fantastic!!! I am sure Thomas will get a kick out of Sci-Fi! That was very thoughtful of Jas!! They sound so cute together!!! I cannot wait to hear all about this trip!!!

Your plan and adrs sound great! Isn't air fare bad right now?! I got spoiled last year finding fares that were 59$ to 99$ each way and pricing them for this year is

Park Fare will be a fun suprise!

:scared1: I hope you end up not regretting waiting to book your flights!! I could never risk it and wait so long!!!

Yeah, I'm not even going and I'm panicking myself! :rotfl: Your plans look wonderful, I miss WDW so much! Any chance of live updates? :goodvibes

Great plans :thumbsup2

I am looking forward to hearing about The Plaza I have heard good things and I have wanted to eat there. Since you and I have the same taste in food (WGPE:lovestruc) I trust your opinion :goodvibes

Your plans sound great. Out of all your ADR's we've only eaten at the Sci-Fi...:sad2:

I'm hoping during our upcoming trip in August we'll be able to try new places such as 1900 park fare and WPC.

Thanks Tiff;) I agree, I think he'll love it!! I asked if he wanted to watch the Disney Vacation Planning DVD and he said, no I want to see it for the first time in real life....too cute:woohoo:

Thanks Dawn, now I just hope I can leave them alone. The last time I went to change things was for 1900 Park Fare and our time is 830pm so I think it's going to be harder to move things around the closer we get.

I am so with you on the airfare, it's hit and miss here, but we very rarely luck into the kind of deals our friends in the US get....not sure why that is, but I talked to Thomas today and he is going to pay the difference between the $500 his parents are willing to spend and what it will actually be. I will be booking tomorrow!!!

I am using your wonderful suggestions and I'm going to have it on this evening. I can't wait to see their faces!!:hug:Thanks again so much for that suggestion;)

:scared1: I hope you end up not regretting waiting to book your flights!! I could never risk it and wait so long!!!

I know, I was feeling awful about it, but now I can go ahead and book:thumbsup2

Yeah, I'm not even going and I'm panicking myself! :rotfl: Your plans look wonderful, I miss WDW so much! Any chance of live updates? :goodvibes

Thanks Shir Kahn....I was panicking, more than you know! Unfortunately, I'm not taking the laptop this time, I'm worried about the extra security with carry on's etc, so I decided we'll just leave it at home this time...but I promise to update as soon as I get hom:yay:

Great plans :thumbsup2

We do have the same taste in food, and I'll give you a full rundown!!!

Hi Raecheal:wave2:

The entertainment alone at 1900 Park Fare is worth going:yay:Those stepsisters are hysterical....the stepmother is as mean as they come....we laughed so hard we cried!! My niece had just turned 4 a year ago when we went there and she was quite concerned about the stepmother being mean to her. I said "Don't worry honey, Auntie's here and I can be way meaner than her" this put the biggest smile on her face and when she approached the table, I felt her little hand reach over to mine, look up at her and whisper, she's here Auntie. It was hilarious.

WPC was probably my favorite mean for the actual food. Isn't it funny at Disney how you look at so many different things when judging what's good and what you would skip next time:rolleyes1

I forgot to mention that Thomas' passport arrived on Friday:cool1: He was so excited, he kept asking me what happens if it doesn't get here on time....I said then you can't come honey:sad2: Let's just say he was more than happy when he sent Jasmine a text on Friday evening (she was having a girls night with one of her friends) that it had arrived.

Jasmine and I went through her summer clothes yesterday and she picked out what she wants to take for the trip. It sure is different packing for a February holiday than an August one. She is taking 2 pairs of capri's, 5 shorts, and yoga pants. She purchased the cutest black Mickey zip up hoodie last summer at Tren-D, so she's bringing that too. I have a feeling the evenings will be cool. The one great thing though is I can start doing laundry and getting things in the suitcases now.

I've asked Thomas to bring his shorts over in the next couple of days so I can get them packed. His t -shirts etc can wait for a couple of days before as I know he still wears them to school under his hoodies. My BFF has taught me the art of packing her way and it works wonderfully. She usually comes and helps me before our trips...she's the one that loves to iron...me, not so much...anyhoo, they leave the day after us for 2 weeks in Mexico so I'm on my own. She taught me if there is 3 of us, you take 3 suitcases, putting everyone's clothes in each suitcase, that way if one gets lost we all still have some clothes. She's so smart my friend:lovestruc

Now that I have them all organized I will do mine next weekend. We are going to my parent's for dinner this evening, so will pick up our medication that we need for the trip as the pharmacy is on the way to their place. I have asthma and the Florida humidity isn't always my friend so I want fresh inhalars just in case. I also have a life threatening peanut allergy so 2 fresh epi pens have been ordered.

I think that's it for now.....hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. :yay:
