Good morning. It is a balmy 31 here now with temps heading to the low forties. Feels like a heat wave here. I tried to walk at the lake yesterday but after getting past the first part of the trail it turned a bit icy and snow covered so not comfortable walking on that. I did do some walking around on the roads that surround the lake and then did a walk here at the complex. I am currently looking into buying an exercise bike. I emailed a few models to the kids to get their opinions. I have it narrowed down and just want to see if they agree. Kenny suggested a magnetic one as opposed to a friction option. This is why I ask their help as they know more than me! I need to be able to do something when the weather is bad or too cold. Kenny has offered to put it together for me. Today is shopping at Market Basket, talking with my NH friend, and then qi gong with my MA friend.

Good morning. 27 now heading for 47, it will feel like Spring, lol, at least here. To the west of me, extreme Garrett County, they're under a blizzard warning. Not that far away, yet the weather is so different. They're expecting 4-7 or 8-12 of snow with 50 mph winds, that's crazy!

No big plans for the day except errands and grocery shopping. Summer said she wants to go with me, so she better be here before 9:30 or I'm going alone.

Good morning! In a few minutes I'll have to get in the shower and get ready to leave Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort and go back to Maryland for another six weeks before I can escape to warmer weather again.

Arrived in the area a little after 3pm yesterday and checked into my room. Got a nice water view and some cookies. I was a bit tired after my drive but after putting some stuff in the room I headed for the beach. There were a few people walking along the sand and some people on bicycles rode by. I'd brought my old beach chair with me and set it up near the water.

Some friends came by hoping for a handout, or maybe just to welcome me back.




There was also a shrimp boat (I think that's what it is) off in the distance.



It was getting close to sunset by this time so I got ready to go back to my room. A young woman and her DD came by as I was dragging my old chair up through the sand and asked if I needed help. No it's not heavy just easier to pull along rather than lift and carry.

As we entered the path through the dunes there was a rustle in the tall grass. We had startled someone.



As we watched her she ate some grass and settled down but kept a wary eye on us. My new friend told me she lives in Palmetto Dunes and that Mama Deer has a couple of kids. Sure enough within a minute or two, they came to join their Mama.



After a few minutes we moved along, me to the parking garage and friends to their home.

Drove on back through the resort to cross 278 back to Shelter Cove. Back in the room I had leftovers from lunch and a cookie and some hot tea for dinner. By about 8:30 I was asleep.

I'll be driving out around 6am so no Mickey waffles for me. Will have some coffee before I leave with biscotti and some cheese and will stop for a takeout breakfast along the way. I could leave earlier but actual sunrise isn't until 7:13am so I'll be on the local slower speed road until maybe 6:45 and then light will be better to travel the interstate. I do not want to risk hitting deer and this area has a lot.

Will be home for dinner!

Good morning. It is 33 now with temps heading down today into the 20s. It is supposed to be windy too. We had some rain last night so I wonder if it is slippery out now. i haven't opened my shades yet. I ordered an exercise bike yesterday. It should be in next week. I hope they leave it outside my garage so I can just drag it in there. I will be on the lookout for Fedex. Comcast is changing their email over to yahoo. It keeps the same email address but I am wary about it. My plan is to do the initial carryover and then use gmail to set up a new account and make the changes I need to make with all the important places like doctors and SS and medicare. Then I still get emails to my current account while I can see what I need to change to a gmail account. Just one more thing I did not need to make life crazy.

Comcast is changing their email over to yahoo. It keeps the same email address but I am wary about it.

Maybe it is for those of us who do not pay for Comcast email. I used to have Comcast at my old house for many years but it is not offered in my area now.

Good morning. Snowing lightly at the moment, there was freezing stuff mixed in with it earlier. I almost wiped out on the back deck before I realized it wasn't just snow. Just enough of a cover to make it slippery. It's 28 now, heading for 32 with winds, which will make it feel colder.

Did errands and grocery shopping yesterday, stores weren't overly busy, so got in and out fairly quickly. Summer did go with me, but all she did was complain about bills, and their phones probably being shut off again today unless she could pay the overdue amount. I'm not paying it, so it is what it is. She had money left over from buying the car, so there's no excuse for her utility's being shut off again.

Still ticked at the post office. My 2 pkgs are still sitting in the distribution center near Baltimore and haven't moved since Tuesday, so I don't see them getting to CO or FL by tomorrow. Why would they tell people the last date to mail priority mail is Dec 18'th when I mailed something on the 8'th and it might not make it there for a week. I'm going to use UPS next time for sure.

Cats are all fed, bird feeders are filled, and I'm going to set my Tivo for next weeks shows and watch last night's Amazing Race season finale.

It's not allowing me to like any posts right now so I will just type thank you all for the lovely pictures.

Grace of God, having two sessions of daily therapy is making a difference. It feels so good, extra blessing, to see and know I am getting stronger.

I was looking on Amazon at stockings. I was thinking about getting my roommate (She may not be able to see but can feel it) one along with a few other friends here. Wow are they expensive! Dad was at a Dollar Tree a couple of days ago and overall was very disappointed in what the had in general. Nothing like pre pandemic. He did get a few things finally including my favorite pudding 4 pack for $1.25 each. No need to hurry back.

Good morning. It is 20 now with temps heading to the low 30s. I took a couple of hours off today to use up PTO and try to find Trader Joe's again in the next town. I am going to try a different route. The store is hidden behind another plaza so you can't see it from the road. Yesterday one of favorite coworkers called to ask a question and we ended up talking for over a half hour. She is so kind and funny. I miss seeing her every day. She lost her adult DS over 2 years ago. It has devastated her. She is trying to get along in life as am I. She has a wonderful supportive DH who is so good. She knew Chris. It was good to talk about how we are doing, our families, and to also laugh a bit. She makes me feel good and it lasts all day. We will be seeing each other on the 22nd when we go to the office for our team lunch. My boss told me I should take my stuff out of the office that day too so I need to get my office chair and a few other items out. The office officially closes at the end of June but I suspect we will be out of there well before that. Maybe only a few more times to go there after this, if that.

I did migrate mine over last night and so far it is working. I am going to set up a gmail account for my important contacts like medical and financial and leave my comcast account for retail and misc stuff. I am very wary of this move to be honest.

Good morning. A coating of snow on the ground again this morning, temp is 25 going to a high of 35. It's going to be a long winter if it's starting this early.

Somehow that pkg going to CO didn't leave MD until yesterday and arrived in Denver overnight, so it actually might get delivered today. The one going to FL seems to be stalled halfway, says delivery on Monday. So much for 2-3 day priority mail, it's taking an entire week.
Last night I binge watched the Netflix special Simon Cowell: The Next Act. I'm not his biggest fan, but it shows a different side of him as he tries to make another boy band.

Powerball is up to a billion $ now, I have my tickets, and fingers crossed that I win something.

The kitten has a new trick. She brings every single catnip mouse out of the toy bin in the kitchen, and carries them to my recliner and leaves them all there. I found 12 of them sitting there this morning, I guess she's laying her claim on my chair, lol

Forgot to comment on the mail change/migrating thing. When my ISP did that, it took 3 weeks for them to get things working correctly. They're still working on the spam email issue, I'm getting 25+ every single day. One day I had 77 of them.

If I had a choice, I'd use Gmail over yahoo mail any day.
