He is hiding again at the moment, but he definitely came out during the night - he ate some kibble, used the litter box (yeah!) and I saw him briefly from a distance twice.

@PollyannaMom Diesel will get used to his new surroundings. It always takes them awhile to get acclimated. Thank you for taking him in.

Summer finally made it home last night around 9. She stopped at the side of the road and took a short nap because she was starting to fall asleep driving. She should have left yesterday morning so she would have been home in the daytime instead.

I bought a new tv last night on Walmart early black Friday sale. I've been wanting to size up for awhile and the price made it worth it. I'm waiting for the delivery now, the driver is on his way. There's no way I could have fit the tv in my little car, so I'm hoping that there's nothing wrong with it, or we'll have to use Summer's truck to take it back. After he gets here, I'll leave to do my errands and get some groceries.

Waving hi across the miles with a hug to all. Today was a very positive one. I had two good therapy sessions and was able to visit with a kind friend who is also an advocate and another lovely lady who is an advocate, too. Such a blessing to have caring support especially on a rainy day in person, too.

It's supposed to rain again tomorrow. Dad is planning to come on Sunday. I saved a brownie from dinner tonight for him as a treat. It's cool enough to keep. I can always wrap it in some foil.

Thank you all always for the love you extend to furry friends and, of course, human ones, too.

Good morning from Phoenix. Checked in for the flight and hope it stays on time, The pink jeep tour we took was the mild one for us older ladies. There were lots of bumpy roads even with it being mild rated. We got to the top of the area just in time for sunset. Yesterday we saw Chapel in the Rock. Last time I was there was with Chris so I was a bit blindsided by the emotions. I lit a candle and sat and prayed, cried a bit. I will say that on this trip I have not laughed as much as I did for many years. This group was amazing and so funny and supportive. I now have laugh lines under my eyes. I hope to take the positive energy back with me. I also got a lot of good advice about retiring so maybe next year.

Jeff’s friend out in the country near Worcester got amazing photos of the northrtn lights. Kenny got a couple good ones too.

Good morning. Rained a little bit overnight, they say cloudy and 65 today. The sun was out for a while, now it's cloudy again, so it's probably going to be on and off all day.

Got a late start to errands since the Walmart delivery time kept changing. I didn't want them leave a large tv on my front porch if I wasn't home. I got an email saying it would be here at 8:38. Then the time kept changing. The last time I looked it said it would be here around 11:21. At 10:30 I saw a truck pull in with 3 tv's in the back. So their tracking is virtually worthless

Summer showed up and we did shopping together. But by the time we got to Walmart it was 12:30 and crowded. I dislike shopping when you have to fight your way around people and carts. The grocery end of the store was packed, but by the time I got to the frozen foods section, it was practically empty of shoppers. The rest of the store wasn't crowded at all. We hit Walmart, Aldi's, Martins and PetSmart. Gracie needed something called feeder fish for her Axoloti's. Weird looking lizard like things, and now she has 2, and has to feed them live fish. Lili finally got insurance approval for her MRI (will be Monday), to see if she does indeed have a tumor. Summer is still waiting for approval for hers from the accident.

Off to do Saturday chores, strip and remake bed, do laundry, dust, vacuum, clean the bathrooms, and wash the floors. The rest of the day will be for relaxing. My sciatica is acting up and dragging the big tv to the spare room until I have someone to help me get it out of the box , onto the mount and onto the tv stand. I'm not in a hurry, I might not get to it until after the holidays.

Dear Lynn, I am not a crowd fan in general and certainly not in a state. Be careful and definitely get in some extra rest and relaxation.

It's pouring as I type this. We definitely need the rain. Extra blessing to have shelter. I pray extra for those who don't.

Last year was a good year. I was able to put ornaments on my tree that weren't cat proof. Not putting it up until I return from my December Disney trip. DD goes to her office too often to risk it being torn to pieces and made into a cat lounging area while she's at work all day.

I will put some tiny stuffed toys at the bottom for them to bat around.

Sitting in the living room with all three cats snoozing. Meanwhile Dog is feeling left out but if I bring him in he will reward me by excited peeing. So a bit later I have to go sit with him in the kitchen. It's completely dark out. Can't wait until the days start getting longer.

Good morning. The high winds are back again, and the temp will only be 50. We hit 64 yesterday and at 1 am it was still 62, but dumping down rain.

I finally quit with all my chores at noontime, it was one of those 'start one thing, notice another, start that one, and finally get back to the first 2 hours later, lol. The house is dusted and vacuumed, floors washed, bathrooms cleaned. I did the stove, fridge, sinks, and microwave, then vacuumed the front porch. Washed the kitchen rugs after doing the sheets and another load of laundry. By dinnertime I was too tired to cook, so ordered a small pizza and some wings to be delivered. Vegged out and watched tv until bedtime, while chatting on the phone. Today is do nothing day, I'm still tired.

Snowysmom, so glad you had a nice trip and hope things went smoothly on the ride home. I was thinking of you yesterday, I was at Logan Airport. DS had invited me to go planespotting with him and the kids so we were up on top of the garage for a while watching planes (freezing our butts off!). It brought back a lot of memories as we always did that with him and his sister when they were growing up, too. (Heck, I did it as a teenager, however there weren’t as many restrictions then as there are today - we’d even get a bite to eat inside and sit and watch planes, now you can’t do that.) $26 in the garage for under two hours, last time there I think it was $13. No wonder most people don’t park there anymore. (We generally fly out of Providence.) At any rate it was fun hearing DS explain everything to his stepson.

Dog paid me back twice this morning. He doesn't usually roll over and wake when I feed the cats as it's 5-6am. This morning after I fed them and while fixing my coffee, I got my reward. I had to put him and his crate out. He sleeps in the crate with the door open but I have a fence around the whole area so he has freedom. He came out and saturated about 4-5 pads, which leaked on the edges. Put him on the windy deck and before coffee, had to sop up the pads, mop up, spray, mop up again and get it as dry as possible. I have ALL wood floors downstairs except the bath.

Stayed patient - he's old, fed him and let him outside again. Finally had my coffee!

Back in the kitchen with my cup and he's wet another pad, but this time it didn't require all in cleaning. If I vent a little here it reminds me that I have to stay patient. He's been good for many years and now has a problem. Thankful for Chlorox urine destroyer - I keep 4 bottles on hand because sometimes it sells out at my Target.
