Bobbiwoz Great news! An extra day can help but being at home helps alot too.

Judique Beautiful picture. I love the birds in WDW. They are fun to watch and I talk to them too. And I talk to the squirrels.

Good morning. It is warmer today at 22 with temps heading into the 40s. Rain is coming in for tomorrow and Thursday. Kenny heads home today. He needed some chill out time so hopefully he feels relaxed and less stressed. Yesterday I went to Target to finish up Easter basket shopping. I like to get it done early while there is a good selection of candy. I shop sales too. I just need books for the older kiddies.

Off to another busy day at work. Have a good day.

Good morning! Beautiful weather continues.
This is the Inn at Celebration, recently renovated and a lovely area to stay in if you like long walks around the lakes which I do.

A story of customer service (for lack of a better word). Some family members booked Cake Bake for breakfast and had the first reservations of the day last week. They walked over quickly in the falling rain, checked in and were kept standing out in the rain for 15 minutes, past reservation time and opening, getting wetter and wetter. Finally got in and seated and the food was good, but the memory is 'how wet we got in the rain'. What terrible customer service to not give them a place to stand at the very least.

Good sunny Tuesday morning. Going to be in the 60's today and tomorrow with rain and storms tomorrow.

@bobbiwoz Great news that you can go home tomorrow. May your continued recovery go smoothly

@Judique What a beautiful picture

Summer's car saga continues. She brought the truck across to the garage again yesterday. It was undriveable. He looked at it and said the entire hub assembly needed to be replaced. That he and the other mechanic checked it when they replaced the other parts, and said there was nothing wrong with it. That whatever they did at the other place when they did the front end alignment, messed something up. Cost her another $240 to have it replaced. Apparently that same part was replaced a few years ago, and whoever did it cross threaded the bolts, and they had to rethread them yesterday. Her husband goes back to work today, so she's got a 6 hour drive each way ahead of her. I hope the truck doesn't have any more issues

I ended up spring cleaning the entire kitchen yesterday so that room is 100% done. Going to do the spare room today as there's not much to be done in there, I need an easy day, lol

Have a nice day

Good evening!

Looks like a couple of you have been making great progress medically, that's awesome!!! Keep up the good work!

I had car trouble on my way to work this morning, so I had to pull over and Mitchell came and got me & my car. Dropped it off at the garage during his lunch. Praying it can get fixed by Thursday evening and the cost isn't too terrible. I had to call off today and I'm not scheduled again until Friday so that helps a little.

We did the pancake breakfast at the state park on Saturday. Funny little moment while we were eating. Once you go through the line and get your first round of pancakes and sausage, workers come around offering more pancakes at your table. The 2nd time the girl stopped at ours, we were all talking when she stopped and Mia yells out "yay, more pancakes". We were cracking up. I thought Mitchell was going to fall out of his chair he was laughing so hard. The girl can eat!

We've been having some nice weather the past few days. Tonight we're supposed to get rain and wind which may turn into snow. I'm done with winter!!!!!!

Have a great night!

Big hug dear Bobbi. You have a lovely courageous smile, my friend. Extra healing prayers continuing.

Safe and fun travel prayers to those of dear you already on or who soon will be on vacation.

This morning my physical therapist took me to the room known as the gym here. Oddest gym I ever saw! Other than the parallel bars which when lowered did make standing up easier for me the space itself was not what I had expected. The lighting similar to my room was dismal. There was a wall with 4 or so computers on a long table. There were people at each one. I did see a walker folded up against a wall along with possibly an exercise ball. Otherwise, that was it.

I did have a frustrating conversation with the PT supervisor. He wasn't listening and or understanding that my left leg has only been contracted since mid January. Again this was caused by hospital neglect of not stretching my legs over a couple week period when I was sick in bed. Based on his very wrong belief he kept giving his most unencouraging opinion on my walking. I said to him outright, God willing I believe I will be back to normal by the end of this month. I need your support (both therapist and supervisor) to get there. I need you to believe in me. I am choosing to positively go forward. His reply was basically a brush off :/ Here's to a more positive pt session tomorrow as up until today my pt time has been promising.

Yesterday and this morning were also challenging due to once again very poor care here. I waited 2 hours yesterday for personal assistance. This morning I waited an hour. Communication is poor often between staff and yes this place is under staffed. Tomorrow is a new day :)

Love and sweet dreams always to each of you. You know that.

Mona I truly hope and pray that things get better for you and PT helps you to move forward so you can go home. That PT room sounds dismal and not like a usual PT area. How sad that the PT supervisor cannot be encouraging to patients. You have a good attitude and know that you will make progress through determination and strength.

Lynn I feel bad for Summer with all the car issues. She just can't get a break.

Footballmouse Mia is so cute. I hope your car gets fixed soon at not too much expense.

Bobbiwoz Hoping you get home today and continue your recovery where are most comfortable.

Good morning. It is 40 degrees now with temps heading into the 50s. Rain is coming in later today and into tomorrow. Kenny is back from his trip. Both his flights were on time so that was good. Flying in not something I want to do this year but I do have one trip to Phoenix in the Fall. Yesterday was another quiet day. I did get to the gym after work. Work has been busy this week. At least I don't have to go into the office tomorrow.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Raining lightly, temp is 54 going to low 60's. Chance of thunderstorms all day, then tomorrow back down to 39. then back to the 50's by Friday. This weather is just so up and down it's crazy.

Summer took the truck for another front end alignment, because the mechanic told her she needed to after having the hub assembly replaced. She got to the alignment place (not the same ones that ruined that part), and after checking briefly, he told her she didn't need one, but that the front passenger tire was bad. That was the tire that the mechanic replaced last week! She took it back to the mechanic and he changed it for another new one. Her husband was supposed to go back to work tomorrow, but the lab they sent the drug test to, had to send it to another place because it was for a DOT job. The results take 7-10 days. So they have to wait for that, then she either has to drive him all the way to Chicago, or he has to wait until the crew comes back again. She can't win, no matter what the situation is.

I'm heading to the grocery store and errands before the storms hit.

Have a good day everyone

Finally home. Rained cats and dogs early, calling for storms this afternoon, but the sun is shining and it's beautiful outside.

Because our Walmart is remodeling, they're not ordering items to fill the shelves, lots and lots of empty shelves

Eggs at Aldi's were $5.97 a dozen. Eggland's Best in walmart, I think they were jumbo, were $9.60 a dozen! People aren't going to be buying many eggs for Easter at those prices.

I bought eggs at Market Basket for $4.99 a dozen. Guess that was a relative bargain.

Good morning. It is 51 now! Temps are heading to the mid 50s today with a bit of rain. Then we are getting in winds and the temp is going back down to the 30s. We have a couple of colder days ahead with temps only in the upper 30s for highs. I haven't been feeling great with sinus headaches, sore throat, and being tired. I took a few sick hours from work yesterday and chilled out. I went to bed early so feel a bit less tired today.

Have a good day.

Good afternoon.

I just realized I never got on here this morning. I started playing with META AI on FB after spring cleaning both bathrooms, and lost track of time while taking a break, lol

Yesterday it was 65 and I was in shorts and a t shirt. Today it's 36 and snowing at the moment, and I'm in leggings and a sweatshirt. I've about had it with this weather. We also have a high wind warning with 55 mph gusts until midnite.

Weather is totally crazy.

Have a good day everyone. I hope you feel better @Snowysmom

Oddest gym I ever saw!
I was wondering - and I know next to nothing about PT in general - if perhaps it was a occupational therapy room/gym? That might explain the computers. Maybe they have a few of these gyms with different equipment for different needs and they just took you to the quiet one? Just a thought. Glad you are making progress. Keep going - the more effort and work you put into the sooner you can get out of there! Everyone is rooting for you!!
People aren't going to be buying many eggs for Easter at those prices.
I was thinking that myself! We don't really celebrate the holiday, except in the most basic sense of possibly getting together with some family for dinner - but I know (at least I think it is???) it's something like the biggest Christian holiday, and eggs play a big part in it! I hope people don't have any issues around the holiday with the shortages.

hmmm....speaking of, I got to wondering when Easter is, looks like it is later in April this year. Hopefully it will be a nice weekend.

My husband comes home from the NC office late tonight, which will come as a shock to the dog since I've been letting him sleep in bed all week haha! Poor guy, he's been away at work all week, then he has to spend all day in the truck driving up to WV & back to help his brother pick up a car. Sunday we *might* have to go pick up some furniture...it was supposed to come in but between us it would be easier if it didn't come in till next week so he didn't have to go up to northern DE to pick it up on Sunday. I was going to call the furniture store but I think I'm going to let that be for the time being. Next week he & I will split our time between the MD & DE office, and I've got a date with the friendly neighborhood OSHA agent on Tuesday:headache:. Wednesday I have a nail appt. Thursday I have a meeting with our insurance team to go over closing a claim. We are headed for a work trip to the Cayman's the week after that, and taking my niece to FL for a short weekend to visit with my folks before she heads off to Germany for a unknown amount of time at the beginning of April. Then I think my folks are coming up for a week or two in May. Whew! I like being busy but sure am looking forward to a few quiet weekends between now & then.

Happy Lenten season to those who celebrate (sorry, that may not be the right word) this season.

Not sure what is for dinner this evening, eggs & toast is neck and neck with tomato soup, but crackers & cheese is not to far behind them  I think my BIL may be over for dinner tomorrow night so I better get something out of the freezer for a real meal.

Thank you everyone always. Yesterday I wasn't feeling well. System/Bathroom related trouble. Thank God I have felt much better today. I am getting the hang of transfering from bed to wheelchair. The parallel bars do help with standing. My favorite therapist here, Susan, and I played a couple games of Uno today. I sat in the wheelchair, Susan sat in a regular chair and we put the card piles on my bed. That was a fun way to have some normalcy here as I sat up in the chair longer.

Dear Bobbi I also pray that you are home and resting much more comfortably. I'm not a big Wizard of Oz fan but God willing one day soon there absolutely will be no place like home for me! May you my friend feel that way now.

Feel better dear Snowysmom and thank you!

Prayers all-around dear Lynn.

I went to the "gym," again today. Great question dear Easyas. The room could very well be multi purpose. As far as I know it is the only gym here. I did get to peek into the activity rooms this morning. There was no one in the first room. The second room I was told is the main activity room. The only "activity," I observed was about half a dozen patients sitting in their wheelchairs not engaged at all :/ This room is where some true activity happens such as Bingo and coffee time. When we got back to my room the therapist suggested I go sit in that room tomorrow to get out of my room. I don't see any upside to sitting with others in dreariness!

Right now is the hardest time to be here. It's certainly when I most pray to go home. I know by His mercy and grace I will get there.

Love and sweet dreams to all always.

@flyingdumbo127 It is nice that you have a good PT and she is encouraging you and helping you. With her help and your determination you can move forward with your PT program.

@bobbiwoz Hope you are recovering nicely at home.

Good morning. It is 28 now with temps heading into the 30s. There is a high wind warning. I am feeling much better today. I think it is time to start my claritin for the season. Kenny invited me to dinner tonight. I haven't seen the kids in a while. Tomorrow I head to the subaru dealer for maintenance and to see if my brakes need work and my battery too. My car is a little over 4 years old so I know both are coming due soon. They did tell me last time that I would probably have to have my brakes done next time. So glad it is Friday this week. It has been busy and challenging.

Have a good day.

Thank you both so much dear Snowysmom and Dear Pea. Why am I up now? Thank God I no longer have insomnia as I did. Here I'm up in the middle of the night because even at this hour help is VERY slow to come. Awful. I am grateful to have caught a few good hours of zzz's already. I sure pray to be taken care of so that I can get more sleep soon. Happy Friday dear friends. Please stay warm and well!

Sunny and still windy, but not as bad as it was yesterday. Will be in the 50's today, now they say we'll hit close to 80 on Wednesday-crazy!

Will be doing more spring cleaning today, slowly but surely getting it done.

Continued prayers for Mona and Bobbi.

Have a good day everyone

Good afternoon friends!

I am happy to be recovering at home. Recovery is not an easy process but I’m in it for the long call. Today I met with an intake person from the home care nursing organization. I will be getting a nurse, occupational therapy, physical therapy and I will be seeing a dietitian. I will see each person either once or twice a week for I do not know exactly how many weeks. The person took my blood pressure and checked my incision and wound today.

A not happy surprise is how little use I have in my left hand. I noticed that I cannot do the things that would be normal like squeezing a toothpaste tube, holding cutlery. I wonder how this comes about as I was in the car coming home I noticed I couldn’t go from a fist to straightening out my hand in a smooth fashion. Well, I am very happy that I will be getting occupational therapy.

I am using my walker inside of the house which I hadn’t done before. And one of my goals is not to have to use it inside of my house. For now safety first.

Tom has been a wonderful help and I really appreciate it that he can help me.

Completely unrelated to my care, I noticed Mickey earrings in my intake person. Well we had a wonderful conversation about just how much Walt Disney World means to us and our families!!

Mona, I pray for your continued improvement and for more good days with the physical therapist who helps you.

I have not been here much since I have been home, but I am caught up on my reading here. Thank you again for all your kind words and prayers and intern I am sending you my best wishes.

Bobbi.
