Hello all,
Snowysmom, I hope you have a nice vacation. I am very proud of you for taking this trip, I know you don’t feel brave but from where I am sitting you truly are. You are going to miss your Chris, but try to think of it as sharing the time with him.

I am just about done packing, or should I say over-packing. We hit the road early in the morning, and I going to try and follow my own advice above.

Let me see if I can give you an idea where to start and find reset.

First of all, what did you buy? I'm guessing you bought a Windows based computer. (At the end, I noted you mentioned HP which is what I use.)

So on my newer one, the bottom to the left has the windows icon (4 panes) which takes you to your apps.

Settings should be pinned and if it isn't just look through til you get to S and settings.

Clicking on that should get you to more choices, one of which should be System.

Clicking on that should bring up Recovery, which I've used to get old computers working again, but it also works when you want to wipe your stuff off the computer. If you were doing this and just wanted to get it going again, you would save your stuff.

After wiping it you would have to reload windows again.

So if you were returning it I would ask for tech help from somewhere especially if I had saved anything sensitive.

Here, I ask my younger DD, because she does this stuff or my son, who could walk me through it. I can muddle through but I'm no expert by a long shot.

Thank you so much for that information. I printed it to save it in case I ever have to. Yes it's windows, it's supposed to be Windows 10S (but I already got rid of the S so I could download apps and put Chrome as my browser). The box says windows 10, but the details screen on the computer says Windows 11. I know it's not 11, because it runs exactly like 10. I read too many reviews of problems with 11 and wanted no part of it. So far everything is working as it should, and I've figured out where a lot of things are.The only thing I had an issue with was the fingerprint recognition scanner. It took me about 20 minutes to get it to finally set up my fingerprint. I'm liking it so far!

Haven’t felt much like talking.

Just want to wish Snowysmom a wonderful trip. You too, dazed. You both deserve some fun and some peace.

I had a little freak out, I broke one of my favorite Disney earrings that I’ve had for many years when I was taking them off to dress up for the services. I had a backup pair but somehow I couldn’t find my travel jewlery stash (where they were). Thankfully I thought of a solution to just replace the part that broke which was the earring holder. I bought some on Amazon last night, they were delivered today, and DH fixed it for me, so I’m wearing them again. Phew!

We are on Season 6 of Gilmore Girls, PollyannaMom. I would’ve been finished already but DH got into it with me and he gets a little behind so I re-watch with him while he’s still awake. DD has watched the whole thing before and she’s the one who got me into it. At first I rolled my eyes quite a bit but I got to love some of the characters. Great show. I never understood when DD wore her Lukes Diner shirt and GG pajama bottoms, lol. (Amazon.) BTW I think one of my favorite characters, besides Lorelei, is Richard Gilmore.

Tonight watching Star Wars and Tim Tracker with the family. It was a hard week, and we’re all physically and emotionally exhausted. I’ve already been back to work so it’s amazing I‘m even awake.

Mona, that’s a very unusual reaction to Voltaren cream. It’s unfortunate, because it sounds like the medicine really didn’t have much of a chance to work its magic down at the skeletal level, since the skin had a reaction from the outset. I dont know what else to say, it’s not something I’ve ever seen with that cream before. You could just try oral ibuprofen. You need the anti-inflammatory effect somehow. ETA: Elevating and icing it two to three times a day might help, too.

Enjoy the rest of the night.

DD just took this outside in our back yard. Thankfully we had a mild day today with few effects from the storm other than a small bit of windy rain.

BTW the services were really lovely this week. I’m kicking myself I didn’t take some pictures of us while we were all dressed up, since it’s so rare for us. It never even entered my mind. The loss stil doesn’t feel real.

Good rainy morning. It's dreary and gray outside, only going to 66 today. I had to not only put on leggings this morning, but a sweater, to go out and feed the cats. It's one of those days that make you want to curl up and read, or curl up and sleep. It's football day, so it's a good test for the new streaming box. I have 5 games set for him, but all it shows me in the to do list is 'football', we're waiting to see if it records all of them. So far that's the one feature I really don't care for, but I have to live with it. I got an email last night that Disney+ is going up in price. I can either keep what I have and pay for it for a year to save a few dollars, or just change to the Disney/Hulu bundle for only a few dollars more. I hate to keep adding streaming services when we already have so many channels now, but they make it so darn tempting, lol

I hope that @Snowysmom and @dazedx3 have great trips. They deserve to have themselves a good time

@PollyannaMom I'm with you on needing an automatic cat feeder. Although with the change in the weather, mine have actually slept a little later than they had been, letting me get an hour or so more.

Off to do whatever has to be done, then I'm going to sit down and work on my writing. I've slacked the last 2 days trying to figure out the tv and the laptop, lol

Have a great day

Take care dear Lynn, please!

PollyannaMom:hug:Now that is a great idea for you, my friend! Please do invest in an automatic cat feeder!

Waving Good Morning to all. Cooler, quiet Sunday here. I will be watching online worship in a little while. I will also be trying more of the Voltaren. Praying this time, it will do something positive for me. My feet do hurt :( Otherwise, I will call Dr. Y's office tomorrow morning! Thank you all again and always so much for your extra prayers and love. Have a beautiful day, friends!

Slipping thread save!

I did enjoy online worship as always, great message about forgiveness. I do have saved a sermon of a retired minister friend on this topic if any of you would ever like to read it, just let me know. Of course, if you'd like a link to today's live service let me know that, too.

Dad, thank God, long safely home from morning shopping. Tomorrow, he has a doctor's appointment. Prayers, of course, appreciated. I will be calling Dr. Y's office in the morning. Tried a little more of the Voltaren, same thing, just doesn't work for me. I did hear from a friend who once used it that it also didn't do much for her so not just me. Of course, I'm sorry, it didn't help her either, all of you know that! I'm grateful for some people, including some of dear you, who it has helped! I pray Dr. Y can recommend something to help me! Dad uses each night Burt's Bees foot cream. That did nothing for me. It's not intended as pain relief. I have read that some foot creams may help? Another friend who worked for a podiatrist for years said she uses a Jergen's lotion for her feet. Blessing to have options and of course feet to begin with! Thank you all truly for your extra love and prayers.

Enjoy the rest of the day :)

Good afternoon all.

I did get down the shore friday. Not much going on as far as wave action. I heard very early was great but I got there after the storm had moved on. Still had a great time as Crystal and I went to the Cape May Lighthouse and saw a Bald Eagle flying around. That definitely made the trip worth it the drive.

Didn't do a whole lot Saturday as I was feeling a bit tired. My allergies have been getting to me so much that I skipped church today. I couldn't stop sneezing all morning. Thankfully the anti-histamine kicked in.

I tried making an appointment the other day for my knee but got really frustrated with the intake person. I gave her my insurance numbers at least 4 or 5 times and she insisted that I do NOT have insurance or the numbers are wrong. I hung up. The trip down the shore helped with my moods. Mom said that my dad had a great day yesterday so I'm hoping that continues.

@flyingdumbo127 - I tried the Voltaren on my knee at bedtime and was frustrated with it. One night I swear the pain level was 10X worse. I kept at it though and finally after about 5 or 6 days it kicked in. I woke up with minimal pain yesterday and today and actually had a great nights sleep last night. It took a few days to kick in. Call the doctor but try a few more days. I think it may need to get to a therapeutic level.

Hope you all have a great day.

:grouphug:Taz, please take care dear friend💕I'm so sorry Voltaren made things worse for you :( For me, it sure doesn't help. It just as I said causes initial extra unpleasant sensation which is the last thing I need! I want to do the stretches and of course be healed. It would be most appreciated to have some relief of help to get there! I will call the podiatrist in the morning.
