Good Morning (Not feeling an exclamation point today
)
Glad your son had a good night PollyannaMom. Let’s hope for more.
Is there anything he did that helped?
Mona, you could try some voltaren cream. It’s sold over the counter now and it’s a bit pricey, but patients really like it. And it helped my mother when not much else did. You could also try some icy hot type gels. There might be a little inflammation from walking if you‘re not used to it. Ibuprofen can help that, as well. It will be important to keep building up strength in your legs and feet, but you’ll need to do it carefully and gradually. You could try ice on the spot when you come home from your outings which will also help decrease inflammation.
Glad to hear about upcoming trips. We have two this fall, one for DD’s graduation and one for a wedding in FL that will have a side trip to Disney. Can’t wait for either. I haven’t been paying much attention to the upcoming hurricane with all the sadness we’ve had going on here. I did see on the news last night it looks like it may not hit us directly as much as previously thought, but we will still feel some of the effects of it. We are in an area that floods so we have to be careful. I hope you do not experience any delays in your trip Snowysmom.
We had a ton of rain the other night and it ruined my geraniums. They had been looking so lovely. Next time I pull them out of the rain. They were spotty all summer due to all the rain. But wildly, my New Guinea impatien was the best one I’ve ever gotten. We had a lot of things in the garden (tomatoes, basil, peppers) that we pulled last night, and I made a pasta primavera with them that was so good. Some of us had shrimp on top. (DD hates seafood.)
We have been busy here preparing for funeral services, which are today and tomorrow.
Boys still have to get their clothes ready
hopefully they’re all set. DD and I shopped yesterday and got our nails done. I really like the parafin wax they put on your feet, so I had it put on my hands, as well. So soft! I might do that more often. It was so hot and muggy by the time we got home and dragged all the bags in we wound up going in the pool for a while. My problem with that is that by the time I get halfway in, I’m cold. But it felt good to cool down. I’m struggling with what to wear today and tomorrow for that reason. I wish it was just a bit cooler out, then I’d be all set.
I hope everyone has a good Wednesday.

you are actually the third person to suggest voltaren. My concern besides cost is the possible side effects and that it seems to be meant more arthritis. Dad suggested and he's right, overall better cushioning would help. The slippers I have on now (first pair I bought) are too wide and low in the back for me. I have long and narrow feet. My feet aren't being cushioned or supported much in them. Newer slippers fit better but my feet are so sore that I haven't worn them yet really. Feet really feel tight besides hurt overall
Definitely not used to being active! Positive and also right now not. Always a bright side, I pray to give praise in all. I do wish, of course, for relief! I will be looking into options this morning. Do you think, btw, my can of Pain Ease would do anything? I still have some of that. Many extra prayers of peace to dear you! Good to see a post from you as well, of course, you know that.
and please take care and stay dry, my friend
so I'm hopeful for today to be the recovery day. Wish us luck.
all for the extra love and prayers. Please take care of your
Even the kind receptionist felt badly about that! Blessing to have options that is for sure. Meantime, in the morning, I will try wearing my other new slippers which are much more supportive than the wide, low slippers I have been wearing. I realized that a culprit in my heel pain is that because these slippers are not only way too wide (I have narrow, long feet) they are also too overall big. My feet slide between the top and back which isn't helping them at all
. I work dayshift this weekend so no day off to get things done. Glad I put out my Halloween decorations last weekend. I'll have to get some meal prepping done also Friday night so I have food for the weekend. I'm really trying to eat better and not order out for lunch with everyone.
