Good morning everyone!
Only went back two pages...to much to catch up on!
Dad since then has had various

trouble

Over the last week, not wearing any type of slippers, I have begun to see why for myself

This floor is very hard as I said. It's also uneven in places. I am blessed to have healthy, thin feet that don't normally cause me any issues whatsoever.
So I have hard floors in my house, and weak ankles so it's not unusual for me to be wearing shoes of some sort all the time. I'll wear flip flops year round, and also have bought the linked clogs below as 'house slippers' type shoes. I will admit, I'm partial to the Dansko brand and probably have about 20 pairs!
Here is what I'm wearing in the house:

(have had the Clarks Cloud Steppers before, which are really comfortable)

the above I have, and will be buying another pair at some point. This link is from the Dansko Outlet website, but I think they have other colors on the regular website and/or if you are in the Southeast PA area and can get to their physical outlet store.
Crystal is doing a little better although yesterday she really felt the effects of the accident.
That's good to hear.
Carol kept custody of the kids.
I was shocked to read your description of what went on. I'm lucky in that I have no divorce in my immediate family so no frame of reference. I was a first shocked to read that they can just simply take a statement (from the ex husband in regards to your husbands behavior) as fact but I guess, thinking about it, they have to bank on the side of caution just in case. But still - does the court interview your husband, you, your daughter and the kid(s) in regards to this accusation? What an incredible pain in the *** to have to go thru...I'm happy for your daughter in that she retained custody.
You can’t do wrong and come out right. I do believe in Karma.
I am also someone who subscribes to the belief of Karma. Your father had a great saying -
We were supposed to see that super full moon last night, but I didn't see it anywhere,
I saw it, unfortunately it was at 2:30 this evening with the demon child dog that decided she HAD to go out. And frolic in the moonlight. And not want to come back in! It was super bright.
Dealing with a back spasm this morning, came on me all the sudden when I was walking around the porch this morning. I did drive to NC Monday, and then turn around and drive back yesterday, so much of the past few days have been spent sitting. I should have stretched when I stopped but did not. And I should be more active in general, so in all honestly it's my own fault that I'm feeling this way today. I also didn't drink as much water as I normally do, so that didn't help either. Good reminder to me to get my butt walking again at a minimum. And more yoga. I'll be making these trips at least 2 times per month for the next few years so I need to figure it out sooner rather than later.
In the office today until 4, then up for my every 2 week pedicure treat. On the road tomorrow afternoon to jobsites. BIL's B'day dinner on Saturday.
So last weekend we went and saw Haunted Mansion - it wasn't bad. Product placement was a bit much, in come cases a bit comical actually! But it was a amusing movie and worth going to see, and there were several nods to the ride that seemed pretty spot on.
Dinner last night was eggrolls that my husband made (he's on a egg roll kick - filling them with all kinds of stuff) and I think tonight will be either sautéed chicken w/ vindaloo sauce over rice or grilled chicken over rice.
So - anyone familiar with Henrietta Lacks? If no, I would like to recommend a book to you:
https://www.amazon.com/Immortal-Lif...&qid=1690985160&sprefix=henriet,aps,76&sr=8-1
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloots.
I first read this book about 10 years ago, when I heard about the story of the HeLa cells and Mrs. Lacks. It's FACINATING, and even someone like me w/ no medical background could easily follow the story and what was going on. I bring it up because yesterday her family settled a long simmering lawsuit over the situation and it's been all over our local news.
