Jury duty was short and not too painful. I left really early so the traffic was not too bad. I got there early and read my book in the car. Everyone was nice and explained everything. There were 3 cases, 2 were being settled so one was waiting to see how it would go. At 9:30 the court clerk told us that case was settling so we were free to go. So thankful and grateful. I went back to Kenny's intending to go back to the condo. I got back to the condo and Kenny asked if I was still at his house. He has to go help a friend this evening and has the kids so we wanted me to be there for the them when they went to bed. So back I went. What we don't do for our kids. But, I was worried about driving back to his place tomorrow as the weather is supposed to be icy and snowy so it did work out. The condo was mostly OK after the 2 showings. Just a closet door left open and a bag of stuffed animals fell in the closet. They did shut the light out that I wanted on but that is nothing big. My agent told me one of the couples looking at the condo are older and very slow so she gave them an hour to look around. I told her they would fit right in, and honestly, they would. They are cash buyers too so hopefully they will be interestd.

DGD is negative now for covid and back in school. No one else in the house got covid.

Glad jury duty and the showings went well @Snowysmom. Be careful driving! We have icy rain coming down now too. I was going to go out but decided against it. Grady needs a romp but he’s going to have to understand these northern winters are tough!

Had a quiet day today. Still a little red and itchy, kept me awake last night. So not feeling great today. Have a work stretch coming up so I might be able to say just a quick hello.

2 people looked at my condo today. One said it did not work for them. The other one made a full price offer with me being able to stay until April 29 with paying condo fees and taxes. I took the offer. They only need to get a small amount of financing with the rest cash. They do want an inspection so we will see how that goes. But, I talked with my sons and they agree to take it. Even with open houses we may not get anything better and with the market the way it is now, bidding wars are done around here. I just pray that the inspection goes well. I am so surprised and so thankful and grateful. Kenny wants me to stay with him as long as I want after April 29 if I don't have a place. Plus he wants me to store my furniture and stuff in his basement. He has a huge basement. I really don't have alot of furniture. The piano we would put in his family room. We are just looking into this, not sure if it will work but he is being so helpful. This gives me time to pack up slowly and bring stuff to Kenny's house. I know it could still go south if the inspection is not good or if they cannot finalize financing but if that happens, then we do the open houses. For now I am thankful and grateful and appreciate the blessings from above.

Today has been a busy day.

I sure did not. I am so surprised and feeling blessed right now. I still am a bit tentative about the sale of the condo due to the inspection. Those always make me nervous. I fixed what needed to be fixed back in the Fall and the plumber told me it is in better shape than when I moved in. We could still do the open house and put off this buyer but the chance could be that they will rescind their offer while waiting.

Getting chillier here. Thankfully all is dry. We did hear back from the management company twice. Both emails were to all 10 residents of this building. First email was letting us all know of the rent increase to come The second email was to let us know that they are aware of the leakage issues and are working on it. They did not share what has been/will be done about the leaks! We still have no clue what was done on Monday. We certainly, keep in prayer that next time we get heavy rain, water will not come inside our apartment (or anyone else's, of course, either) again. Dry thoughts and prayers please!

We also received mail today both in our box and a package including the expected mail we have been hoping/waiting for. Blessing extra. I also head via text from our Houston cousins. Always means so much to hear from them. They are so dear to dad and I. Among other things, and we will call them this weekend, they kindly wanted me to know that they have sent dad two birthday surprises. I will stash them away until his birthday. So very appreciated and generous, too.

Good morning. It is snowy, rainy, icy here. There isn't much snow on the ground but the temp is hovering around 32 so ice looks like it could be an issue. I will work from Kenny's house. I will probably stay tonight as the Kenny and I can talk without the kids around. We are also checking out the new Market Basket nearby and will get subs from a place called T C Landos. They used to be really good. Chris found them when he worked for Digital in Maynard. back in the 80s. Now they have shops in several places in central MA. Last night we went to Chik Fil A which I don't usually go to. The kids like it and they played in the play area for a bit.

@flyingdumbo127 I hope all the apt issues can be fixed. Rent increases are inevitable.

I am a worrier and now will worry about packing up and moving as well as finding just the right place to live. I just want to be settled so I can work on moving through a very tough and challenging life. My agent assures me we will find the right place.

Good windy morning. Thankfully it didn't get as bad as they predicted last night, but it's still windy this morning, along with being cold. Temps only in the 30's the next few days.

@Snowysmom --Things are going the way they are meant to go for you. You will find your forever home this time. I hope the sale of the condo goes smoothly. I'm sure the inspection won't be too much of a problem. You haven't lived there that long, and you had everything fixed when you moved in. Hang in there!

Not much of anything going on around here. It's cleaning day, which I don't feel like doing, but it must be done.

Happy Friday!

Working from home today and then I'll head to the other hospital to work tonight and tomorrow night. Mitchell should be able to drop me off to get my car later today before I head to work #2.

It was really windy out yesterday and last night. Of course it was garbage night for me so I was a little nervous that things would blow over . I put a rock on top of the lids so they wouldn't blow open, I hope they didn't take my rocks.

I decided to be brave yesterday and tried Indian food for lunch. I always turned my nose up to it but wow, was I pleasantly surprised . I ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was really good. The serving was actually enough for 3 meals for me. The nan bread was a huge hit also.

snowysmom - congratulations on the condo offer ! That went really fast, I'm sure the inspection will pass. On to the next step!

I am having a really hard week, maybe the visit out of town was too soon. I just keep crying, thinking about how the future without Kris will look. I miss him so much. I think reality has set in, and I don’t like it at all.

Good Morning everyone,

Thank you all again for your extra support and kind prayers. Dad and I will definitely take extra care and stay warm this weekend. It's only been a few days for me since I've had this cold, seems longer though. Thank God, I have been enjoying extra good sleep and am getting there. Dad, too. He will be near a CVS on Sunday or Monday. I will pass on the Covid test info.

Dad is currently doing laundry followed by Ralphs. I'm going to call my dentist's office shortly to ask about rescheduling my cleaning next Thursday. I absolutely want to be all well and am so blessed that it can be pushed ahead a week or two.

Stay cozy and take care out there, be well. Thinking extra right now of Carol, Frog, Dazed, and Kirby. Sending a hug to all of you dear Quackers, of course, too. I will come back later.

Good evening. I hope everyone is staying warm and comfy. Kenny and I checked out the new Market Basket in his area. It is huge like all new ones and backwards from the one I go to. I like the dairy aisle on the right as I stand at the front looking towards the back of the store. Going the other way disorients me. The other Market Basket in the area is the way I like it. Still very big and busy but I can manage it. We got steak subs at TC Landos. They are just as good as decades ago when Chris and I would get them. He would bring them home after work. I am stuffed and will have more tomorrow. I don't usually eat those but a treat now and then is a good thing.

We have a couple inches of snow and some icy spots. I will do my other shopping tomorrow. Kenny works. I will probably head back to the condo tomorrow. Inspection for the condo is Tuesday morning so I will just go into work that day. Fingers crossed all goes well and we can move along.

Snowysmom, I’m happy for you that it looks like the sale of the condo is the beginning of a brighter future. Praying you find the place that calls you, take your time.

Today marks 1 month since Kris left us. I’m not going to lie or sugarcoat it, it is the hardest thing I have had to endure in all my life. I have not been getting more than 4 hours of sleep each night, which doesn’t help things. Thanks to all of you for the extra prayers and hugs, it does mean a lot to me. I don’t have many friends as I am quickly realizing. Kris and I were best friends and did everything together.

I picked up a couple of cushion covers there last week. Need another one. They had some on markdown that I used to cover the Xmas cushions until next year. Saves me from having to package and store them.

I need to start doing that!

I was driving home from my haircut when my elderly friend called me! She’d gotten the note I left in her mailbox. We were both so happy. She thought maybe I was mad at her or something. I yelled at her for that, lol, and told her how I’ve been looking for her for weeks!

So glad you heard from her and she is doing well!

We had a small accumulation of snow. I thought you guys might enjoy seeing Grady and Toto playing in it last night.

I don't like how Kohl's switched from Kohl's cash to just a % coupon now.

I hope that don't start that down here.
