I have a group of 4 people out of a much larger group, that I met on the morning riddle years ago. I have met up with each of them in Disney, Providence RI, and even Rehoboth DE. Their kids are younger than mine and tend to invite each other to their kids' weddings. We have "known" each other close to 20 years. Are there other “in person” friendship that began on Disboards that have continued for years? I know I’ve read hear about upcoming meets and people who live pretty near each other.
Simba’s Mom and I have been friends since November 2010. I know I’ve met Dan Murphy, and I bet many of you have too!
Sounds fun. When will you be at Disney? (I assume that is where you are headed.)we begin heading south in 12 days and then taking it easy.
Apartments in Bethesda are expensive. Andrew lived there two years with a roommate.he'll be moving over to the western shore of MD to be closer to his potential work place in Bethesda.
Have you ever tried Chico's? That is where I get all my jeans now. I go to the Outlet in Lancaster but there is one in Queenstown too. You have to get used to their weird sizing but the clothes are nice.go jean shopping in the afternoon.
I have heat and hot water!
I menu plan a week at a time before I grocery shop. I may rearrange or substitute a day, but at least I have an idea and all the ingredients. Sarah does it too now.Our biggest issue is making decisions in advance.
Exactly! You can set you clock by the problem/breakup at 15 minutes before the end.Chris would say that at 15 minutes before a Hallmark movie ends the male and female leads have a crisis. At 5 minutes before the movie ends they figure out the misunderstanding, profess their love, and kiss.
I'm looking forward to our DIs meet on Tuesday.
We sometimes put our chili on rice.We put our chili over spaghetti and top with cheese and diced onions.
Yes, that is one of our final stops! We will be there on October 30th!Sounds fun. When will you be at Disney? (I assume that is where you are headed.)
Ugh I know - the whole area is so pricey. He's got a roommate situation lined up, so we shall see how it works out. He really wants to buy a house but he's waiting till he's in a job for a while to know if that is the right direction for him since he's just out of the military.Apartments in Bethesda are expensive. I do love me some Chico's - and yes getting used to their sizes are a chore! I've just purchased a sweater & some shirts from the Queenstown outlet. The pants I tried on were to long. I picked up a pair of slacks from Talbots, too. But no jeans.Have you ever tried Chico's? That is where I get all my jeans now. I go to the Outlet in Lancaster but there is one in Queenstown too. Wow, this seems to keep happening to the point where it is understandable that no one wants to send anything USPS anymore! On January 23rd of next year, first class stamps which are now 60 cents are going up to 63 cents. Postcard stamps which are now 44 cents are going up to 48 cents. Plus, come July 2023, the same thing will happen again with stamps. A couple weeks ago was when package prices went up through at least January. Not sure whether that cost increases twice or just (bad enough) once a year!
Aww that's fantastic!!! Congrats to them!I totally forgot that my parents 67th wedding anniversary was yesterday so I called them today.
Yum, we had Tomato soup and Grilled Cheese on Monday! Delicious!!Tonight it will be either leftovers or tomato soup and grilled cheese.
That sounds like a great trip!!We are headed to the Fort in Disney, so getting the RV ready for our trip has been fun too, because we need to lighten the load as compared to what we need up north. We also have stops on the way down in Pigeon Forge as well as St. Augustine.
My DS is grown now, but he loved the Winnie the Pooh movie when he was little. We watched it so many times, I started changing the language to French just for some variety....is sad that most young kids these days don't know our friendlycharacters. It's been years since I have watched any of the DVD's.
Yes, we did watch that one!@PollyannaMom that's so funny about Winnie the Pooh in french....LOL I wish I would've thought of that when DD was little. We used to watch some shows so much, I can still recite them word for word if they came on today. I think your DS is around the same age as DD, was he into Bear in the Big Blue House? That was my...or I guess you could say DDs favorite.I just read it's coming out in Disney+ soon. I can't wait.

Ok, so you feel my pain! I'm short as well, and wear a size 12, so it's a bit of a chore for me. What fits in one brand/style doesn't fit in another and so on and so forth. I have a pair of ankle pants from Talbots I just got that are a touch long on me, but work with boots/clogs. Honestly, I find a pair that fits and buy several of those when I find them. Makes for a boring wardrobe, but at least I'm comfortable!@easyas123 hope you can find some jeans. I'm short and plus size so it's hard to find jeans that fit right. LoL If I'm lucky I end up getting crop pants and they're usually the normal length for me.LOL I actually found extra extra short length jeans at Torrid but they don't have much of a selection of that.
That was a favorite of ours.Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day
Have you tried Old Navy Pixie Pants? I got a pair on sale and like them but had to get used to them looking like "floods" on me. Sarah tells me ankle pants are the style. When Jennifer, who is tiny, wears them they are full length on her.I'm short as well,
Hopefully this trip will help push the condo issues to the back of your mind at least for awhile. Enjoy your trip, don't keep thinking about the plumbing while you're gone.I feel like any happiness I have for this trip is being sucked out of me by this situation.
I wear these for work, love them. I also went and bought a pair of jeans from Old Navy like this.Have you tried Old Navy Pixie Pants?
This sounds like such a fun trip! Hope you guys have a great time. Is this a normal trip for your family or something new? I'm guessing normal since you have the RV.We are headed to the Fort in Disney, so getting the RV ready for our trip has been fun too, because we need to lighten the load as compared to what we need up north. We are fulltime RVers 10 months out of the year, so we normally hit up a lot of places on the way to our longer destinations to break up longer drives.Hopefully this trip will help push the condo issues to the back of your mind at least for awhile.
