Happy B'day :bday:

Good morning everyone-

Not much new to report from my neck of the woods. I have acupuncture this afternoon, first time in several months and I'm ready for it. After that it's back to the office, then home to get up in the tractor to try to get ahead of the coming wet weather. At least it will be warmer! I've got to get the porch power washed come hell or high water, or rain. So I'm starting that Friday after work and will finish up on Saturday. Sunday I'm picking up some landscaping items. Another exciting day in the neighborhood...

Happy Thursday! :sunny:

Kirby - Love the birthday donuts! :bday:

Flyingdumbo- Happy Birthday to you! :bday:

Watched Survivor live last night for a change. I was very happy with the evicted person, and very happy with the way it was done, lol!
I was happy with tribal council also. Glad she's gone! :wave2:

Got my graywashing done on the brick in the kitchen. Man, my shoulders are sore from reaching to the ceiling and then my legs were sore from going up and down the ladder. But at least it's done! Since I'm working today, I'll finish the cabinets tomorrow and give the paint sprayer another try for the doors.

It's going to be so nice out today, I'm going to miss sitting in the sun all afternoon. I'll try to make up for it tomorrow.:flower:

Back to work, my manager is standing in front of me , have a great day!

Thank you! I am so touched by all your kind and adorable Happy Birthday words and images. As I awoke this morning, I gave God extra thanks for this day and that He gifted me also with health, dad in health, and this time we have together. With all my heart as well, I prayed that this year ahead as called by Christ that I indeed, Let all that you do be done with love 1 Corinthians 16:14 NKJV. I share these words right now with each of you, my dear Quacker family, because of how blessed I am by God, Who is Love, that He has enriched my life with your kind friendships and presence in it. Thank you, each of you, for being a light of Love and kind care to me and all you know and come to meet. God Bless You 🐥❤️

I just enjoyed my preferred birthday cake which is 🥞 for breakfast. Kirby, I love that Lil Joe wanted pancakes for his birthday dinner. Indeed, it is the little things that bring such joy and fun. I've attached a picture, our first of the day, of them. I hope they bring each of you an extra Thursday morning smile.

I was so blessed yesterday evening by a surprise call from Terri saying she was out my way. Dad and I both got to chat with her outside for a good half an hour. She brought me a birthday balloon and gift bag that I'll open later. She also gave me a cherished gift by taking a picture of dad and I with the balloon.

:grouphug:🐥I'll check back later with more pictures. Wishing all of you a healthy and happy day with love from me.

Its 75 and there is a nice breeze outside. I started at 8:30, took one break, and just now finished weeding and mulching everything at noon.. Every bush, every flowering plant, our big circle out front that has echinacea and some of my other perennials, marigolds, and a birdbath. Around all the crepe myrtles, box woods, around the 3 peony bushes, and around the trees (to cut down on some of the weedwacking spots, around the rhubarb, roses, canterbury bells and columbine,,and out of almost 20 bags of mulch, I have 1/2 of one left..lol. Just enough for my wheelbarrel planter and one other pot of flowers. Now I quit for the day.

Mona, I am glad you are enjoying all the birthday greetings, and that you got a surprise visit from Teri. Hope the rest of your day goes as well!

Good afternoon.

Just a quick check in to say Happy Birthday Mona! 🐥 🥞 :bday: 🎂🐥

Changed out the down comforter for a summer weight one. I had little puffy things all over with I took the Duvet cover off. Had to vacuum. Washing and drying sheets and the cover. Comforter is outside airing out. Went to PT, had lunch, now going for a bike ride.

Dazedx3 I hope things work out and you both test negative tomorrow. Sorry things have been tough.

@Pea-n-Me I always like to see pictures of Toto. So handsome.

I managed to drive the Kancamangus both ways without incident. I also was able to do the 3 hour drive with a stop to get my friend and then drop her off. She was proud of me for being able to do the trip and stay all 3 nights. I will admit I almost left Wednesday morning but I decided I had to give it the full time to know I did it. It was hard because everywhere I looked I thought of Chris. I now know that I probably won't be able to go back to North Conway again. Too much of Chris there. In fact I think traveling is going to be curtailed for a while except for the family trip to Disney. I told my friend that maybe next Spring we could go somewhere else in the area but I cannot come up with an idea. I just wonder if I try someplace else in NH or Maine that it may be easier. I don't think I can ever travel alone so there goes my solo trips to Disney. I spent some time crying in the bathroom and crying while talking with my friend about Chris and what I have been through. She is so kind and sweet.

We did get to Echo Lake and no one else was there. We both thought Chris planned it be that way with the full parking lot the day before. Wednesday morning before nine we were the first ones in the parking area. The lake was smooth as glass and it was nice and cool. I did the heart in the sand with our initials and I didn't even cry. I felt Chris was there. We relaxed and talked alot in our room for breaks, read, and watched some TV. We also got some iced maple coffee and sat out side at a coffee shop in North Conway center and people watched. I made sure we avoided restaurants that were special to Chris and I but we managed to have some nice quiet meals. The cardinal sink strainer I got has a cardinal for the pull knob. I had to have it when I saw it. I got some chocolate when I bought the kids fudge at the Bavarian Village Haus candy store. I attached a picture of Cathedral ledge reflected in Echo Lake and the heart I drew in the sand.

Have a good night.

Sweet dreams to all. I promise to post pictures in the morning. So very much love and hugs to each of you. I pray you all truly know how much you mean to me--you really do and I thank you.

Snowysmom, thank you for your birthday greeting. Love your pictures and am simply so very proud of you my friend. what a courageous and lovely lady you are!

Praise God, Dazed for great news.

...just wonder if I try someplace else in NH or Maine that it may be easier.
We've started going up to Maine more since my DS is at school there, and it's definitely a great place to visit! I think some completely new memories with your friend might be just the thing for next year's trip, and in the mean time, I'm proud of you for conquering your nerves about that drive!

Good morning all..and welcome to Friday the 13'th. Cloudy outside, temp is 65, going to 71 with showers around 10, then clearing. Glad that I can look outside and know that nothing has to be done today. Don't even think I am going to clean much inside, other than swiffer the kitchen and bathroom floors. I am taking a day off, lol!

Have a great day everyone~~

welcome to Friday the 13'th
I didn't realize that it was a Friday the 13th until you mentioned it!
Good thing I'm not superstitious! Good topic for QOTD!

QOTD: Are you superstitious? I'm not, it doesn't even occur to me. My husband gets a little to in his head when he's watching his hockey/soccer/football teams  and if they are losing he will walk away and stop watching for a while, because he thinks his absence will somehow help the team. He recognizes it's silly and we joke about it, but he still does it ha ha!

Good morning everyone. Anyone have any fun weekend plans? I hope to carve out some time to sit out on the porch and enjoy the rain & thunderstorms, but other than that I don't, just some normal running around. We've got to make a Lowes run, and I need to take a few things back to Kohls & Home Goods. I was able to get all the needed mowing done yesterday evening (husband is out of town, so I pulled double duty) ahead of the next few days of rain. Took me about 2 1/2 hours and I got done a fair bit, although not all of it. Oh well, we can only do what we can do sometimes. I have some medical tests Monday that preclude me from really eating much after Saturday mid-day, so Sunday should be fun:crazy2:.

Speaking of eating, I came into the office w/o eating anything for breakfast and now I'm STARVING.

@Pea-n-Me ---lol I just made blueberry muffins, want me to send you down 1 for breakfast?

QOTD: Are you superstitious?--Like your husband @Pea-n-Me --if my favorite football team is losing, I too will leave the room for awhile, and it seems to help, lol! My only other superstition is about giving someone something sharp. I will never just give it to them, they have to pay me a penny for it. That came from my grandmother years ago , and has stuck with me ever since. And so far, noone has ever hurt themselves after paying me for the item, lol!

I just got a good phone call..the outdoor power place got an invoice that the riding mowers will be there within the next week. She has my order, added the mulch kit and delivery to the total,,and tried to get me to get the extended warranty. It would add 2 years to the 3 you get with the mower, but doesn't cover anything like general maintenace, blades, belts etc, and doesn't cover pick up or delivery ..so I don't think it's worth the extra $249. It basically just covers the engine and transmission. Knock on wood, I have never ever had any issue with any Cub Cadet mower, so I will take the chance with this one too!

Superstitious? Me? Haha! Of course I am!

I once won a 2 week trip, breakfast and dinner included so I just had to pay lunch, tours and sangria pitcher shared with my friend at the pool, for 2 to the Canary Islands based on being caller 13, so I consider 13 my lucky number. That said I won't go out of my way to put myself out there today if I think about it which I didn't until it was mentioned.

Earlier this week my son in law delivered his and my DD's greenhouse to me. It was promised some time back and I accepted but wasn't sure if it would actually happen. It's 12 x 6 and 1/2 so quite large and on their smaller lot took up a bit too much front and side space. It came with the house in 2015 but they've never used it. I was often tempted to go up there and start seedlings, but then I would have also had to go care for them. DD is not a gardener at all.

Anyway, it's a little late for this year but we will get it set up and be ready for next year. Meantime I can put some potted stuff in there plus clean up my yard a bit by storing pots in it, plus extra soil. SIL is coming on the weekend (maybe) to put the foundation and secure it. He already also brought 6 x6's but I think we will also need a few cinderblocks at the back end since my yard slopes down.

This morning it was raining so I took a folding chair out and sat in it, day dreaming about what I can do. It's a very sturdy greenhouse, with a lot of aluminum framing and 2 skylights plus a door and a heater vent in the off chance you need to put a heater in it. I already love it.

And, my Yorkie made it for his spring checkup, heartworm, grooming and whatever else they did to him. Nails, anal, teeth, everything but his disposition which is testy with his anxiety! This time he had to be sedated which is not cheap. He'd gone quite a few times and was okay but they called and said he wasn't cooperating. Since he had to be sedated (lots of extra $$) they wanted to do bloodwork at $189. I refused and said not in my budget this time around. Told them to just do his checkup and heartworm and skip the groom. The woman on the phone said she would call back. Later I was called and said everything is done and the vet said okay to no BW. This visit would have been closer to $700 with everything included for a healthy boy, or at least for an almost 13 year old he seems healthy to me. I have a lot of pets and I budget for each of them and I just did one cat last Saturday and have another to do early June. All my pets are rescues, by the way and this Yorkie is lucky anybody loves him, lol. And this vet has cared for him for almost 12 years so he has all his history including before he came to me.
