Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

I'll tell you - I wish there was such a thing as a backbone transplant, because I have a few family members that need one>:(
Honestly, if you allow yourself to be walked over again and again, and acknowledge that you are allowing it to happen - how many times am I supposed to help you stand back up after you have once again failed to speak up or stand up for yourself, all the while saying "well I would but...."

Done.

Anywho....did my running around and few errands today, so that is done. Placed a grocery order/delivery and according to the text I just got, they just started shopping. I decided earlier as I was driving around and fuming over the above family situation that I was having a junky dinner, so the pork chops that were for supper went in the crock pot at lunch with some tomatoes and onions and peppers and I'll shred that up and we will either have pork natchos or soft tacos or something. Either way, there will be a lot of cheese. And sour cream. Just what I don't need, but screw it. Ordered some gatorade (yuck) and some various soups in case we feel off this weekend after our second shots tomorrow. I greatly dislike gatorade. I mean, I can get it down it's just not anything I'd drink if I didn't have to. I do drink a ton of water daily so I should be good and plenty hydrated. eh - I'm sure we will be fine and it's all in my head. ha ha, I've got to much going on in my head this week - usually it's the opposite:P

I hope you all are having a good afternoon!

@easyas123--I hear you loud and clear on 'family members needing a backbone'. Several in fact. Some just don't learn. I learned early with my stepdaughter , after the first few times I helped, to say NO,,enough is enough..the others just keep doing it and try to make me feel guilty. Sorry guys, but it's not making me feel anything but smart!

I don't blame you for deciding to have a 'junky dinner', but that doesn't sound junky, sounds good, except for the peppers, lol

Neither of us are doing a darn thing today. Hubby is napping on and off, I just took a long hot bath and did my hair. Opened the windows in the house, as it's 73 degrees outside. Watched a couple of shows, and am about to start General Hospital, my one guilty pleasure.

Good luck with your second shot tomorrow,,I am dreading hubby getting his second shot on April 8. Sister in law got hers this morning, haven't heard yet how she made out and how she feels

Enjoy the weather before the wind storm arrives!

Back from my hair appointment. I must be a pound lighter between that and a wax. Nice to do something "normal."

@easyas123, which vaccine did you get? DIL got Pfizer Tuesday and really had no problem and she tends to see the worst in everything. I like the blue Gatorade and know that Pedialyte is basically the same but I don't know how it tastes.

it's 73 degrees outside
It only got to about 59 here, I thought it was supposed to be warmer. Tomorrow 79 is predicted.

We got the Pfizer.
I got the orange gatorade and I'm going to get it really cold and if needed I'll drink it then. I mean - it's not awful, I just don't care for it. But I'm also well aware I am being overly dramatic and I will be fine. Any and all medical stuff, even the most benign, sends me in circles, I can't take seeing them do the stories on the news about folks getting a vaccine - if I see one more story w/ someone getting a needle I may not show up for mine! ha ha, I'm a wimp.

I can't wait for 79 degrees. I'll be spending the majority of the afternoon in the car sadly, but I will enjoy it as soon as I get home.

Oh! Did I mention - my daffodils bloomed! We've also got tufts of green grass growing at odd heights around the yard. I think it's Time-

Prayers all goes very well with your second shot, Easyas! Daffodils sound pretty.

So glad to read you and your DH are resting, Lynn.

Hug, Carol, glad you got to have your hair done. Mine hasn't been cut since before Christmas, 2019! Way before this Christmas, I'll have to have my Dad do a trim for me.

It's colder here today, too but supposed to still warm up over the weekend.

So, did any of you who recorded Chasing Waterfalls the other day like it?

Gratitude:
PM's
Dad got a book treat for himself
Thinking about Holy week upcoming

Shows wind for most of MD tomorrow.. We have a high wind warning , you have a high wind advisory, so I guess you might get some! We are only supposed to get to 59 tomorrow,,but its 74 and so nice out now. I managed to get a load of laundry done anyhow. Then did nothing much . Dinner is going to be Irish garlic sausage, rice and steamed asparagus. I ended up rescheduling hubby's cat scan for April 7. No way would he be in any shape to go walking in there tomorrow feeling like he does. He will be calling his PCP in the morning, I think he has cellulitis in his leg..again, but this time the right leg instead of left. He wants a virtual appt so she can prescribe an antiobiotic to get rid of it.
Have a great evening all!

Gatorade, not a fan. I don't think I could get it down.

Only two tornado warnings last night and neither one close to us. I didn't get to sleep till close to midnight, we had thunderstorms all night long. Today dawned bright and clear with the storm clouds moving off to the east. I went to Kroger after I dropped the GK's off at preschool. It was nice doing my own shopping.

We met with an arborist this afternoon. We have a 20 year old Red Oak that was two trees that grew together and wanted to make sure that it was okay. He said that it looks good but he recommends that a cable line be put in to connect the trunks to help keep it from splitting during a storm.

We are expecting wind tomorrow too, but warm.

I don't have a DVR so plan when it is on again, probably the daytime April 7 time.

DH is home. His sister was very grateful he was there. Dinner was turkey/feta/spinach burgers, sweet potatoes, and left over vegetables.

Gratitudes:
Shared text messages with DS.
Haircut!!
Fully vaccinated and feeling like I can go in public a little more.

I hope you will enjoy it, Carol. Sorry though you can't DVR. That has been so handy especially on Hallmark where it often seems there is 5-10 minutes of movie at most followed by at least the same amount of commercial time. Glad to hear he's home.

Wishing all of you a good night!

Good morning QUACK'ers. Very mild outside at 60, and as of yet, not a lick of wind. My garden flag is sitting perfectly still and flat. I hope it stays that way. We were both in bed by 9:30 last nite, and surprisingly he slept until 2 am. He slept so much yesterday I didn't think he would. He got up at 2 and had a cup of tea and played solitaire and came back to bed at 3:45,,just in time for me to get up at 4:10. At least he's asleep again and I have a little 'me' time, lol.

No plans for the day except for him to call his PCP and get an antibiotic. I have so much on my to do list, that I don't even know where to start. And the grass is growing so fast, it will need to be mowed within a week or so. And so it begins---

Have a nice morning all!

Half the Gatorade with water it may make it tolerable.

Glad you saw signs of infection today. Was a little worried yest with his chills and not feeling well. At least you know where it’s coming from. Hope the appt goes well today. They might want to see him. Hubby has an appt today in person that I am going to join virtually at the beginning. Hope everyone has a nice day. ❤️

 thanks~!

You sending that wind our way?!?! I need to check the weather, I recall it is supposed to be warmer tomorrow but that's it -

The winds just started blowing here..temp dropped a couple of degrees..hope it doesn't get too bad out there!

His leg isn't as red this morning,,now he says he will call his PCP on Monday. She didn't want to see him in the office last time, so she shouldn't this time either. Not with all of his other health conditions..he's not going near there covid is nearly gone. Thanks for worrying about him, I was too!

Good morning.

Gray and looks like threatening rain, but warmer. We wanted to walk out to the Turkey Point Lighthouse but don't want to get caught in a storm. Will have to wait and see.

I got the compass I ordered from Etsy for Carter's baptism and am really happy with how it looks. Now waiting for the blocks then will post pictures.

@TLSnell1981, :welcome:

And so it does, we were walking around yesterday evening and figured we couldn't ignore the tufts of grass here and there anymore!!
I can't wait until we have some grass to mow again. Currently the backyard is a mud hole.
