Question for Sunday 3/22: What 3 good things that has happened this past week?

1. First good thing was a trip to the grocery store yesterday and being able to stock up on things I was out of. They were only out of a couple of my 'non essential' items

2. While they cancelled my husband's Drs in office appointments, they did phone ones. Made me feel better knowing he didn't have to walk into a crowded Drs office or clinic and be around too many people.
3. Hubby is working from home, and has quickly learned not to keep telling me to 'take a break', or 'sit down and rest'..for both of us, that is a very good thing! lol
4. I have to add,,the fourth good thing, was that a lot of my DIS family are checking in on this thread lately. It's keeping us all in touch, and giving us a place to take our minds off some of the bad things for awhile..so I thank you once again Tina for continuing to post it! I look forward to your daily questions and I am enjoying reading all of the responses you are getting.

3 good things:

1. Southwest extended travel fund expiration dates, which means I don't lose $700.

2. Found 3 rolls of TP and a full canister of Clorox wipes under my bathroom sink while cleaning.

3. Husband found PB&J supplies FINALLY, so now I know my child will not starve. ;)

We went walking today. I made a beef stew in the crockpot. I washed the woodwork in the hallway.

3 good things this week:
Walking outside every day weather permitting
Meeting and talking with neighbors and other walkers with social distancing of course
Video chatting with the kids and grandkids. I miss seeing them and hugging them but at least I can see them and talk with them.

Question for Sunday 3/22: What 3 good things that has happened this past week?

1. Kiddo slept for 7+ hours, eliminating his feed in the middle of the night. I don't know how long that will last but uninterrupted sleep is superb.
2. I got all my medication! One of the prescriptions took a bit to fill, but I have it.
3. We watched Frozen 2 and I'm looking forward to when Onward comes onto Disney+. I had wanted to see it in theater but couldn't find the time nor did I want to risk it.

Note: Kiddo = 10 weeks old, just so these moments make a bit more sense.

Question for Sunday 3/22: What 3 good things that has happened this past week?
Well, it's been a week and nobody in the house is showing any symptoms of having this thing! That's good! :goodvibes (Still holding at only 1 person in my town, too, hoping that he/she will be okay and not have passed it on.)

I got the last of my deliveries, so I am now done with items for DS's Easter basket.

We managed to do our annual trip to Florida before this got off the ground, so this week, I've had time to work on my Shutterfly book! I only have about 900 more photos to do and then it's done! :rolleyes1 :teeth:

Bonus: DS discovered that our hand soap, Dial "honeysuckle dew," smells just like Florida!

Question for Sunday 3/22: What 3 good things that has happened this past week?

1. I'm catching up on some reading I planned to do while on vacation.

2. I walked DD#2 through how to make bread, via Facetime and messenger. LOL She never would pay attention when she was younger, but now she's all about the baking.

3. We offered up some older 19" monitors (that we've had lying around the house for a few months, since we upgraded our 2nd screens on each computer; and these monitors are at least...um...12 years old) for free on the neighborhood site, and someone grabbed one for each of their parents (not gamers, so these older screens will work fine for them to surf on). Another neighbor had 2 computers for free, older ones but still working; and the guy who got the monitors got those as well. His mom sent a thank you on the neighborhood site yesterday, after she got signed up. She was so happy!

Question for Sunday 3/22: What 3 good things that has happened this past week?
1. The new rat we adopted off of Craigslist really started warming up to Hubs. He's running up and down his arms, playing with him now. Not bad for him considering he was a terrified little guy when he came here!

2. My girlfriend had a nightmare of a workday two days ago. Walked in the rain, had a patient yell at her for cleaning the waiting room. (Yeah I know. Offended because "I don't have the virus!" Like lady, she has to clean after EVERY patient. Calm yo'self.) So I went on Ebay and bought her an umbrella. Told her I'd help at least one of her problems then sent her the tracking number over Telegram. She cried, said it was the sweetest thing. Put me in a good mood for days.

3. We finally cleaned the bedroom and set up a real headboard for the bed. Hubs is now joking that we have actual adult furniture now. I'm happy because I have space for my protection-plushie, some video games, books I'm reading, and my phone! Love having the shelves were I can lay down and nap.

I also watched my church's first online service this morning that was recorded Thursday. As I included in my comments to the Worship team (it was asked that people who viewed share what they thought) it was lovely being "at church." I felt our senior Pastor did a wonderful job of making his Sermon come across as though he was sitting across from "us" (viewer). His message was a wonderful one during this season of Lent and always to remember God is in control and to use this time as a gift to be still-er and more in touch with not only the Lord but with friends and family He has Blessed us with. It was strange at ten minutes to ten not being at church! (our morning service begins at ten and often I am there an hour earlier either because I am on Diaconate and greeting people or doing something).

Three extra good things from this past week.

1 This thread :) Truly it is so heart warming to see us Disers supporting one another in kindness and cheer, keeping this positive thread going. When I logged in just now I had hoped the daily question would be up and it was. Thank you all!

2 I have appreciated so much being able to get more rest, spend extra time with my dad, and be prayerful.

3 Both my dad and I were able to purchase most of what we each need in food and supplies at the store along with some items on Amazon.

Question for Sunday 3/22: What 3 good things that has happened this past week?
1. I learned to Zoom
2. Because of #1, I just finished a chat with DS and DDIL in one screen and DD and DGD in another. (DSIL was at the grocery store.) DS initiated and he and his wife had a beach background and were dressed like they were on the beach with drinks in had. So cute.
3. Took in new trail in the natural resource area locally for a nice outside activity.

Tina, thank you so much for keeping this going.

1) Neither my husband and I have any symptoms even though we learned one of his coworkers on his project, and another person in his building, tested positive.
2) Our bathtub is finally getting fresh caulk.
3) The husband and I are spending more time together, and getting some nice walks in.

I've had a quiet day. Matt's working on his coding homework today and now upstairs playing his football video game.
I watched some black and white Shirley Temple movies and trying to progress through my campy so campy mystery. I like silly ready but this sure testing my love. I reached out to make some calls to people I don't talk with very often and reconnect.

So as I've mentioned, I left my work late December in preparation for my surgery and treatments starting January. I had decided a month ago to go back and get some refresher courses on the business side of the house. Tomorrow I start my accounting class online. Three hour zoom meeting might do me in but at least gives me something to focus on and divert my attention to productive hopefully.

Three things I'm grateful for this week:
That I married well...otherwise I'd have to throw him out to the plague and try again
I'm grateful that we are going to be okay economically and will be able to pay the bills next month
I'm incredibly grateful for the staff caring for my mama in the nursing home in AR and all the precautions they are doing to keep the residents safe.

I watched A Little Princess recently. I love the Shirley Temple version!!!!

3. our Hibiscus plant is blooming more than two blooms at a time
2. saw three lizards within 30 mins around the yard
1. The desert wash flooded and once it became safe at ocean surf save levels (my wash is very flat, not like the disaster versions) and I waded in it for three hours, thought I was on the Oregon coast for spring break, the sand and water between my toes. picking up rocks glimmering in the sun. But unlike the Oregon Coast this weekend, I had the beauty to myself...not the crazy fearless 1,000s that invaded the Pacific ocean shore in a dangerous virus fashion.

Jackpot!!!

Three things...well I’m always thankful that our appliances are all working well ( frig, stove, washer, dryer, heat and soon to be cooling), I’m thankful we can FaceTime with our DD whenever she wants, and I’m thankful we have a roof over our heads and have food to eat. This was our first weekend of “ the new temporary normal” so I made a new rule : no doing laundry and no watching CNN or news on the weekend. Trying to make weekend seem different from weekdays. It worked out well for us.

Three good things:
1. I got a few texts from my oldest grandson. He just turned 13, it's sweet he's staying in touch with Nana.
2. Streaming church services. Technology is helpful and sometimes a blessing.
3. Knitting. It's my way of relaxing.

I'm with you on that one gwynne, but mine is crocheting. I find I don't have to concentrate as hard. When I knit, I always find myself making a mistake, usually a few rows back from where I am. And it takes much longer to rip it out and redo it than it does in crocheting, lol!

Crocheters, Knitters, happy kindred spirits. :flower:

Our fridge is 18 years old and was making not-normal noises yesterday. I said to DH "now would be the worst possible time for our fridge to die, because we won't be able to buy a new one!" :scared: So far so good. Keep your fingers crossed!
