Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Well , same thing happened today as yesterday. I couldn't log on from 3:30 pm till just now. It's getting more than annoying. I need my DIS fix after a long day, lol.
Still beautiful weather..same for tomorrow..then heat again. Make up your mind Mother Nature

Have a great evening everyone! See you on the flip side (tomorrow)

Keep cool, Judique :sunny:

Such an adorable bird, PollyannaMom. You really capture some great pictures of birds, thank you 🐦

:hug:Lynn, how frustrating yet again. Prayers just for that your evening is extra restful and happy!

Dad and I just had two nice afternoon surprises and extra blessings. Yesterday, was our regular Sparkletts water delivery day. Our regular deliveryman, Sandro, is so nice and does a wonderful job. He (nor anyone in his place) ever came! We had only one bottle of water left. I have shared how I drink water like a 🐳 Dad put in a few calls to Sparkletts corporate which didn't seem to do all that much. God Bless him, guess who rang our doorbell an hour or so ago? Sandro! He had been on vacation and apparently no one covered his route yesterday anyway. We have, thanks to the Good Lord, our water which is so much easier for dad than having to tote up extra cases of Aquafina.

Second surprise was a phone call from Terri telling me she was parked out front because she had gone to visit an elderly friend of hers that lives less than 10 minutes away from me. Always a blessing to see her! I was also able to give her a donation to bring to a shelter and a bag for Barbara Ann. Barbara Ann loved the Sprouts applesauce 🍎 as I do. Anyway, the one Sprouts semi close to her isn't all that convenient. Dad goes to our Sprouts all the time, he picked up a jar for her a couple weeks ago. Due to the warmer weather, and her wanting to take her two young housemates to the nearby Farmer's Market, Barbara Ann hasn't come by yet to get her applesauce and a surprise for each of the young ladies. Terri sees Barbara Ann every Sunday at church ⛪. Terri will give Barbara Ann her bag 🛍️ So extra grateful to God for His extra blessings to me this day :)

Have a good evening everyone.

Just popping in for a short post before I head to bed.

DH and I went and picked more blueberry's this morning. Then we drove through another part of the county that got hit hard by the storm Tuesday night. Lots of trees down. And went to a farm market and got some really good corn.

After dinner we went for a 6 mile bike ride.

I'm waiting until 8, because I'm a nice neighbor.
We do that too.
Attaching the pic of my niece (with permission) of her with the braces off.
Lily has a great smile now.
I am on Chrome. I just don't care for Edge.
I had never heard of edge. I use Chrome but also have Internet Explorer on the laptop. I use Safari on my iPad and phone.

I’m surviving this week, but I can’t wait for it to be over.
Glad you are surviving. Sounds like your husband and his new GF are not being very tactful or considerate.

@Snowysmom , so sad about Chris's cousins. I am glad you are finding some good in your condo.

Good night.

@Pea-n-Me I've done Relay for years. Our team is called Breast Friends for Life, our team represented breast cancer, obviously. Here's a picture of our booth. We did raffle baskets as our fundraiser. And if you can see in the picture we decorate with theme decorated bras. We've had some really cute ones. We had two years of virtual Relay because of Covid and unfortunately this year there was no event for our area. I think they were having a hard time finding someone to run if it. Screenshot_20220713-091021_Instagram.jpg

I really loved participating and hopefully we'll do it again next year.

@footballmouse so glad you had a great trip and congrats on your sons engagement. How exciting.

@lynxstch Lily is beautiful. Glad she is starting to feel better too.

@PollyannaMom love your pics.

@Canadisney Fly DH had no troubles in Toronto, so far....he flies home tomorrow so we'll see, I guess. LOL. He also didn't know about Prime Day and said the same thing.... this could be dangerous. LoL

@Bianca and Bernard yikes on the handyman. Hope you can get a new dishwasher out of it.

@frog3101 just hugs.

@Snowysmom so sorry to hear about Chris's cousins. Hugs to you too.

@flyingdumbo127 glad you heard from Matt about the 99c surprise. Your friend birthday is the day after mine.

I know I forgot someone but just know I'm reading and thinking about you all.

Today was so hot and what made it worse was out was HUMID. I live in the desert where there is usually NO humidity so when we have it, UGH...GROSS. Ran to Target this afternoon and it started to sprinkle some big fat rain drops but it was done by the time I came out. Then it went and got my haircut. It feels so good, I like it longer but it was getting to long.

Dropped some pool floaties I got on sale at my friend had and got to see the baby.... oh my goodness so was so happy to see me. Smiling and talking to me.... so cute.

Picking up DH at the airport tomorrow afternoon and hope we make it home before Vegas traffic starts up. I don't know if I've mentioned it before but we live on the route to Vegas. We're probably about halfway from LA to Vegas so every Friday night, northbound traffic is awful and every Sunday afternoon, southbound traffic is even worse.

This weekend, we have a housewarming party to go to and then our friends are having another pool party Sunday.

Hope everyone had a goodnight.

Good morning all!

Just put the recycles and trash bins out. I usually wait until after 7 because I don't like decorating the street much earlier than that. Some of my neighbors start as early as Wednesday evening. Sometimes the trucks don't come until afternoon and rarely do they show before 11am. 6am is when they want it out but I have my coffee time, so I'm a bit later, plus you can hear them start up the street so I'd probably get it to them in time.

Several minor projects for today. Finish the front yard. Our renter mows for my older neighbor so I noticed he did the side of my driveway that is next to neighbor last evening. If I mow first I run over it for them. When the son comes to do it, he just does their strip. Looks really silly then. I own most of the strip so maybe that's it but it's still small.

Managed to get three bags of trash picked out of my basement this week. Some things were probably useful but I don't have the energy to deal with selling or donating, although I do have some stuff in my van that is ready to drive to Goodwill. I've repeatedly told my older kids to come get their abandoned stuff and don't leave it for me. I guess I could just clean up my end and let them deal with it later on. Just venting there a bit.

Last night we had really good steak sandwiches! Onions, pepper and swiss, plus a garlic mayo that daughter stirs up. I cut the meat and veggies and she cooks and assembles. I bought top sirloin at Costco and the package was almost $28 - the smallest pack with others going to over $40. Used to find the same pack for under $20. Our package is 3 different meals, one will be beef stroganoff and the other may be sandwiches again, but not soon, sometime this month. I've cut the meat and froze it already. I used the club rolls from Aldi and got my peppers there, but already had onion at home. There is enough left for lunch today for someone.

It says 85 and sunny for today, and rain tomorrow. So I'll do my spraying of a metal frame today outside in the back on an old tarp. Should dry quickly and take care of the rust spots. Spray Rustoleum will do the trick. And I probably should find some disposable clothing to wear.

Happy Friday! :flower1:

Well Twix handled her hair appointment like a champ! She looks like a different cat, but I'm glad she's finally shaved. She really needed it. I'll take her back in 4 weeks for a bath and she will get all the oil off of her. She wasn't able to do that last night b/c Twix had enough so she stopped after the shave. Apparently, I have a think coated short haired cat who gets matted, not very common. Her appoint was 90 minutes so that gave me the perfect chance to work in the yard pulling weeks from the landscaping. Got the garbage to the curb and ran to the bank just as I got the call to pick her up.

I started getting some of my Prime Day purchases yesterday. I received my bathtub pillow that I'm going to use in my little pool and my cat Cheeto-Milo got a new bow tie collar and a new scarf collar. I have 2 orange cats (Cheeto-Milo and Cheddar) and it's hard to tell them apart until they are close to you so Cheeto is getting a collar so I can tell them apart. Still waiting on my clamps for repairing things, the birdfeeder and the big plastic owl that I'm going to put by the pond to keep the hawks from getting my fish. 🦉🐟

Snowysmom - sorry to hear about the 2 cousins. It was really smart of him to have your 2 sons as his executors.

Frog - hang in there, I know it's hard. Glad your talking to a therapist, I wish I would have done that. I like snowysmom's suggestion of writing things down between your appointments that you want to talk about.

Judique - lol, I'm one of those who put the garbage out the night before. Our pick up day is today also but our guys come between 5-7am, they definitely get put our the night before!

I was on the waiting list for a work out later today. Received a notice last night that I was able to get in to the class. Happy about that. It's harder that all get-out during the workout but afterwards it feels good knowing I got it done. 🏋️‍♀️

Working nightshift this weekend so I'm hoping I can grab a little nap before going in. 🤞

Back to work, have a great day! :sunny:

@Judique, those steak sandwiches sound delicious! I will have try making the garlic mayo.

Most of our street puts out our bins the night before, as we tend to be an early collection.

@footballmouse, so glad the grooming appointment went well! Cats can be funny about that, but it sounds like she'll be happier with it now too.

Two of my Prime Day things came so far.

Good Friday morning all. Another month already 1/2 gone :( 66 now going to be 86 later.
Hugs to all who need them, especially @Snowysmom and @frog3101
Mr L has an appt at the copd clinic today (just normal 3 month check up) and I have to run over to the other side to the heart clinic. We got yet another bill from the hospital. Someone in billing just can't understand that the clinics run off of grants, and there is no charge to patients. I got 3 from them, and this is the 3'rd one Mr L gets. It's not a lot of money, it's the principal of it. The lady who's been taking care of it, is ready to have someone's head in billing. She has gone down there everytime, verified that our account balances are 0 and can't understand why we are being sent bills.
We might stop at the farm stand after for tomatoes and corn. I hate buying tomatoes when we have so many plants, but ours still haven't ripened enough to pick.
No other plans for the day that I know of.
Enjoy your Friday everyone~~

Good morning.

DH is mowing the grass but I am not feeling it today and he said I didn't have to help. I do need to get a grocery list together so I can shop this afternoon. I found out earlier this week that the new pastor wants to celebrate communion this Sunday so I need to get the supplies for that.

DSIL, Tessa, and Carter were here and gone already this morning. They picked up their Power Wheels that was staying here during the move, and dropped off Paisley for the weekend while they go camping.

I usually wait until after 7
I'm one of those who put the garbage out the night before. Our pick up day is today also but our guys come between 5-7am, they definitely get put our the night before!
We also have to put out ours the night before because our pick up is 5-6 am. We don't have municipal trash pick up but contract so even on our small cul de sac, we have at least three different companies coming on three different pick up days.
Our renter mows for my older neighbor so I noticed he did the side of my driveway that is next to neighbor last evening.
We mow the about 5 foot wide strip between our driveway and the one neighbors yard. On the other side, no one lives there and we get tired of looking at it so move to his driveway, added about 6 feet to our mow.
I've repeatedly told my older kids to come get their abandoned stuff
Now that both kids are pretty settled in houses, as we find stuff, we take it too them. They can throw it out if they want but I am not making that decision.
Two of my Prime Day things came so far.
One came Wednesday, one is scheduled today, and 4 tomorrow.
I hate buying tomatoes when we have so many plants, but ours still haven't ripened enough to pick.
Same here. I have gotten a few of the yellow tomatoes but no red, so we bought some. And corn that was very good.

Good Morning and Happy Friday 🌻

It's warmer here already this morning than it has been which to me is welcome. Praying that it won't be too hot for dad sitting inside his car at the laundromat. I truly hope he does see Joyce and that she is now well. He will head to Ralph's 🛒afterwards and then home all day tomorrow. Always a relief and plain so good to know he will be taking a whole day off safely at home.

I hope the kiddos have fun camping⛺ Carol! Enjoy your 🫐Dad would probably love to pick fresh blueberries. I would probably prefer to pick fresh 🍓

🙏for a safe and smooth drive home with your DH, AuntieMe3:car: :grouphug:Love your Relay booth. Thank you and your friends for doing that! Happy upcoming Birthday, as well, my friend. I do have a card addressed to you in the works :)

Have fun at the flea market, PollyannaMom 🛍️Never know what you will find at one of those. I vaguely remember going to Saturday flea markets as a kid. I think years later there may have also been one near Disneyland as well.

Enjoy the sunshine, Judique but please keep cool. Thank you for making a donation to Goodwill. :grouphug:Stuff sometimes sure does have a way of piling up! No fun at all.

Very glad to hear, Footballmouse, that Twix's grooming went well. I hope she will be a cooler kitty now for the rest of the summer😻

🙏for both you and Mr. L, dear Lynn. Hope both of your appointments go well and easily.

Dad and I did finish watching Christmas Town last night. It was sweet. Seemed to finally get to the expected end right at the very end and then the movie was over! At that point, I think we both would have liked a dash more movie. We are recording Sharing Christmas this weekend. A Campfire Christmas is a new movie that will be first on Saturday night. Let me know how any of you who record it like it. I have it set up now to record next weekend.

I shall check back later :)

I will check in later :)

Hello. Just another quick stop. My husband had her at a big event last night where literally the whole county was at. Had her around kids and was parading her around. I am not doing so well. I have a meeting with my attorney to finalize my affidavit. I’m so worried about what’s going to happen with my kids. I know his cheating and bringing her around says more about him than me, but I was still humiliated. My kids (oldest two anyway) didn’t take it so well. He simply does not care.
@Kirby hope things with your daughters attorney are going better than with her old one.
Take care all, I have been reading, just no energy to respond to everyone at this point.
Tomorrow is a big day and she will prob be here most of the time, so if you have extra prayers or good vibes, please send them my way.

@frog3101 I am sorry things are so tough right now. You are right that his behavior says more about him than you. Hold your head up high and take it one minute, one step at a time. Thinking of you.

@flyingdumbo127 It sounds like the 99 cent store surprise will be nice for your friend. I have been watching or at least having the TV on the Hallmark Christmas movies. Some are definitely better than others. Some actors I do not like so I don't watch their movies.

@lynxstch Hope your appts go well today.

Chris' cousin Joe is coming today on hospice. Older DS talked with his doctors along with Joe and Joe made the decision not to seek treatment. It could be glioblastoma but they are not sure without a biopsy. The biopsy as well as the treatment would be very tough for him to tolerate and recover from. He decided for quality of life. DS told him that it was a good decision after Joe made the decision. We did a conference call to discuss things and I was so proud of DS. I can see why he has such a good reputation among his patients and peers. He is so knowledgeable, kind, and caring. Arrangements are being made for home care, the complex staff does grocery shopping, and the woman who is in charge is very competent. Both sons and I are going to see Joe tomorrow. I want to scope out his place, make sure he has food, and a safe area which I know hospice and the home health aides will check out too and know more than me. We will be going over financial arrangements as well as how the nursing home care and payments work for his sister. I know he has done alot of legal documents that my kids have copies of. I am just so sad. My wedding anniversary is this Sunday. It would have been 46 years. Joe was the Best Man at our wedding. It seems like most of our wedding party including Chris have passed. It will be a tough day. I have to go to my DGS's birthday party on Sunday too but I suspect I will not be there long.

I had to take my younger DS to get his car fixed so I got a little bonus time with the grandkids. Sam was wide awake and after studying me for a while decided to give me a big smile. He knows his Nana! He will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. The time is flying by.

Have a good rest of the day.

It's not until August 6th & 7th (we're just doing behind the scenes prep work now) but it is usually a good time. I used to find a lot of deals at it when DH was first part of the Lodge and I went as a customer. As the years passed, we've gotten more involved in volunteering at it. This year, we also had quite a bit to donate, as after helping some relatives downsize, my new shopping policy is "more out than in" :rotfl:

Tomorrow is a big day and she will prob be here most of the time, so if you have extra prayers or good vibes, please send them my way.

Hospice was wonderful with my mom - very knowledgeable and caring. But it's still a tough situation, and it seems like a lot going on right now for you.

Awwww! He sounds like a sweetie. They do grow quickly - enjoy those baby smiles!

Once again, I got the blank page thing and couldn't get on from 2 until just now. It's getting more than annoying!
Appt went well at COPD clinic, the heart clinic once again got the billing dept straightened out, or so she hopes.
Stopped at what used to be our favorite farm stand, only to find it out of business. Found another one just down the road, so stopped and got 6 tomatoes, a basket of peaches, and a dozen corn. Their prices were a little odd. You could only buy either 4 or a dozen corn. 4 cost $1.50 each, so $6..and a dozen was only $7..lol. I took a dozen home. Stopped at Subway for b1g1 and had that for a very late lunch/early dinner.

@Snowysmom--more prayers said for Joe and his family. So very sad.
@frog3101 hope today went better than yesterday!

Back to watching Hawaii 5-O and then bed
Have a nice nite all

It was a busy day, we were getting ready for add,DSIL, dgd1, and dgd2. They are coming for a long weekend. Then tomorrow night we are having a bon fire with extended family. Pray for no rain, please.
Sunday we are going wedding dress shopping for our other DD.

Frog, I feel so bad for you, such a hard situation. Prayers for you!
Snowysmom, prayers for you on your anniversary.

Got our grocery shopping done. Bought 2 pieces of swordfish to cook on the grill. This was a first for us but won’t be the last. It was good. Had tomatoes and rice with it. After dinner went to a cidery about 5 miles from us in PA. There was a steel drum band playing so we each got a drink and sat outside enjoying the music and the evening.

Off to sleep now.

I woke up and tried to get on first using Edge and then using Chrome. No go, so I tried Firefox and here I am. Logged in and I'm here.

Went back to my other browser windows and still can't get on using either of them.
