Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good Morning,

I am thankful your DH is doing better, Lynn. Prayers indeed for his appointment and for that of your DH's Pea, too.

It's cool and gray here. I am sure hoping it will truly be in the 80s come Sunday.

Have a good Friday, friends :)

I can't wait until we have some grass to mow again

You can mow some of ours!

Headed out in a few minutes, gotta pop home and put the mutts out and then head down to Seaford, De and our second shots  Then off to Home Depot or Lowes...or worse - both, to pick up a few items we need to finish some of the porch gates. You guys have a a great afternoon!

It's not the mowing I love, although I don't mind riding the garden tractor. It is the absence of the mud pit I am looking forward to.

DH just got a text from his sister that her DH is rapidly declining. DH left to drive her to the hospital to visit. Does not sound good. Any prayers/good thoughts for Peggie and Jerry would be appreciated.

Thanks Mona, but he decided he wants to wait till Monday to see if the redness in his legs goes down. MEN! It's sunny, but very windy, and our current temp is 69 degrees! More than 10 degrees higher (so far), than they said it would be!

Prayers, good thoughts, and pixie dust all sent their way. That was nice of your husband to take her to the hospital! Hope things aren't as bleak as they make it sound. :(

His leg isn't as red this morning,,now he says he will call his PCP on Monday. She didn't want to see him in the office last time, so she shouldn't this time either. Not with all of his other health conditions..he's not going near there covid is nearly gone. Thanks for worrying about him, I was too!

It’s concerning that he had chills and signs of redness, along with the not feeling well and restlessness, etc. I’m just thinking that with all his health issues they might want to get a jump on that infection instead of giving it time over the weekend to either get worse, or spread to his blood so that it lands him in the hospital next week. Whatever you decide, I hope he feels better soon and you can get some well deserved rest yourself! :flower3:

Just a quick drop in. Have the church food distribution.

Can you all keep my dad in your prayers. He was rushed to the ER today. I don't have a lot of details but he is almost 86 and the doctor ordering it is never good. Thanks.

I'll be back later to fill everyone in on what I know just really need some prayers that he is OK.

I will say a prayer for your Dad. I hope everything works out.

@lynxstch I hope your DH gets better. It would probably be best to start the antibiotic now but as you say, some men just hope things go away.

It is warm today, around 70. The sun comes and goes. But it is nice to see. Jasper loves this weather and it seems to have perked him up a bit lately. I took the day off as I have to use up time or I stop accruing time. We did Easter shopping for the grandkiddies, went to breakfast, DH took one of the cars to the dealer for a recall, and I went to Trader Joe's and CVS. We are resting now until a nice dinner. Need some down time.

Happy Friday. The weekend is finally here.

I sure did! My sincere apology that I do need to get off the computer for a while right now. Sitting here too long at one time just doesn't work well for me. For now  :grouphug: all-around. How truly Blessed I am by God to have all of you as my friends. I do pray and give thanks to God for each of you always.

Continued prayers to all and for a brighter afternoon!

High winds have finally died down. Just light gusts every now and then. But there are big dark clouds out now, instead of the bright sunshine. But we did get to 70 degrees. Hubby slept on and off during the afternoon. I puttered around, cleaned both bathrooms, washed a couple of blankets and caught up with some email and pm's. Dinner is honey battered chicken tenders, rice, and asparagus. Enjoy your Friday evening!

We are just home from our second shot and all the wind is here now!

Going to walk down to the creek in a moment and take husband a beer, and watch him toss a line or two. Dinner this evening is going to be turkey burgers and fries.

Have a good evening everyone!

Sister in law got her second one this morning. Says she has a temp of 100, her arm is sore, and she is grumpy. Hope you don't experience any of that. Don't let the wind blow you away!

Finally home. Food distribution was slow this week but it happens occasionally. We are only getting boxes right now of vegies, some meat and dairy products. We need to start going down to the other distribution center for the canned goods and various items we would get like breads and other shelf stable foods. It still helps and people are grateful.

Thanks for the prayers. My mom had called to let me know my dad wasn't eating and was sleeping ALOT! He was also confused as to what day it was. Mom called their primary who ordered him into the ER. He has a urinary tract and kidney infection. When given the choice of staying a few days on IV antibiotics or trying oral at home he opted to go home. My dad is stubborn but my mom said he was sounding a little stronger, I get they rehydrated him. My dad had bladder cancer with a kidney involvement about 6 years ago. He survived the grueling surgery back then but my daughter did say he will need to be monitored more closely from now on. I'm just happy he will be here for a bit longer. Mom jokes he has cheated death so often he is on borrowed time. Not sure it's a funny joke but my parents have such a strong faith that the idea of death doesn't bother them.

Other than the excitement about dad not much going on. I did get my haircut so that was good. I hate long hair so I was due. When I wake up to push hair out of my eyes it is time. Dinner was turkey and cheese hoagies I ordered from my priest's daughter's school fundraiser. I ordered 2 turkey and cheese and they were huge. Dinner tomorrow will be the other half of the hoagies. New kitchen and I have made exactly 2 meals. I was going to bake today but it hot 80 degrees, not baking on that weather.

Hope everyone has a good evening

@tazdev3225, UTI's can really do a number on older people.

Been windy today but got up to 81. All the windows are open airing the house.

@easyas123, I hope you don't get many side effects from the shot.

I had a dinner planned but decided that I would rather have pizza. When DH got home, be got carry out pizza and salad and we had beer at home. It was good.

When I wake up to push hair out of my eyes it is time.
That was something I was glad of last night, no hair in my face during the night.

Watching The Prom on Netflix and really enjoying it.

Many prayers being lifted up for all of those mentioned.

@TLSnell1981, I'll have to try it the gatorade/water mix and make sure that it's really cold.

I took the GK's to Lowes to help pick out some Caladium bulbs to plant in the pots on my front porch. They loved looking at all the plants. While we lost some things to the snow week my Hostas are coming up as is my Clover. My Easter Lilies are running late this year and have just broke ground. The Irises look great and I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom. The Shasta Daisies are bright and green, there will be a lot of blooms this summer I imagine.

Dinner tonight was a Campfire Stew. It didn't go over real well. It is a new recipe I was trying out. I have a The Crocking Girls crockpot cookbook and haven't found a recipe yet in it that DH has cared for. I keep trying though. I get so tired of cooking the same thing over and over sometimes.
