I didn't know that Bells had their own stuffing mix in a box..interesting! I am not a shortbread or moon pie person, but all the other goodies look delicious..did you buy some for all of us on this thread? LOL!

Yes, they do! This is the base that we use (and that my mother always used) but we add a lot of the other stuff to it including the sausage, celery, onion, cranberries and apples!

I bought the Tootsie pops and drops for myself as I like having a pop when I watch TV and I like the drops to take to work as a little sugary treat halfway through a long shift as a nice pick me up, especially if I can’t eat! (As happened to me last week - I ate on the ride home!) The rest of what I bought was for others. I have never had that type of moon pie I’d be curious to taste one but I wasn’t going to buy the whole box! :lmao: I did get DH a small box of those butter cookies that are shaped like our dog - he loves those, and I managed to get the last box they had on the shelf!

I have seen , and had, the tootsie pop drop peppermint candies, but never saw the other tootsie roll ones. I have never seen the Bells Stuffing in a box around here. I just use Pepperidge Farm and add the actual bell's seasoning to it. Going to look on Amazon to see if they have any of it on there.---FOUND IT! Going to order the 3 pack,,will be in stock on Nov 27. I will use it for Christmas and see how it is! Thanks for the heads up on it!

Kind of gray and cloudy outside, 49 now only going to 50. Makes me glad I put the outside decorations and lights up when it's warm. I have to go down to the cellar and find all the Christmas cards to see what I have down there. I looked in Walmart yesterday..last year they had 1/2 of the garden shop full of Christmas cards and wrapping paper. This year they have 2 end cap displays, one was boxes of 20 for $4.98 and the other were a little nicer card, forget how many in a box, for $9.98. That was it. I couldn't even find wrapping paper, not that I need it, but was just looking to see if they had a minions or charlie brown Xmas one.

Hubby is working on time sheets and payroll, only 2 more times to do that too--down to 12 days left before "R" day, lol!
Have a nice Sunday everyone!

I have no chores to do and am bored. So I am browsing all the pre and Black Friday sales. I can't really find anything I want or need to buy. I did order a box of Thomas Kinkaid cards, a card for Hubby, and some Charlie Brown wrapping paper on Hallmark, all on sale, online only, plus free shipping. Guess that will be the extent of my shopping for today. Grandkids only want gift cards, so hubby and furbabies and one friend are the only ones I have to shop for anyhow.

Do any of you have this issue? Hubby keeps asking me what I want for Christmas. But there is nothing I need or want. When we see something at a great price, or really need,, we get it at that time. I only got him small things for his stocking. He can't go into any stores with his health issues and covid..so what is the point in my telling him anything I want? If I see something, I just buy it. He wraps it up so I have something to open that day. It's not a big deal to me, but it is to him? MEN! LOL!

DO ANY OF YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE....I am lucky this year.....wife has always been hard to purchase....but her solar lights went out in the front yard, those kind staked to the ground.. I have not removed them, because the homemade stakes are in really solid...so buying her lights...but stay tune to DEC 26, this could end up a O'Henery Gift if the Magi story.

I think it's sweet of your DH to want to still get you something, Lynxstch! Would it be possible for you to choose a few books you would enjoy reading from Amazon and then have your DH pick one for you as a surprise? When the package would come he would open/wrap up the book. I will probably have to do something like that for my Dad since I am not able to go out at all right now.

Aww, love that your Hubby asks what you want for Christmas! I don't have that issue only because we stopped exchanging gifts years ago, it was so stressful and we always purchased what we wanted anyway. Besides, he seemed to get me clothes that weren't my style or fancy jewelry that I wouldn't wear, I have a habit of losing things. What do you put in his stocking? Is it toiletries-deodorant, soap, shavers? My husband and I both have a massive sweet tooth so we buy the fancy schmancy candies for our stockings, lol.

You guessed it. He used to buy me clothes that were not the right size, or not the style I wear. Or perfume that I couldn't stand the smell of, so I told him to stop wasting the money! He keeps telling me he wants to buy me a new pocket book..but his idea of a good size is one of those that you could take on a weekend trip. I don't carry much in my purse, so I don't want a big one. He can't win for trying, lol!
He said he wants to buy me a fit bit or jewelry, but the only jewelry I wear are my wedding band and engagement ring. I don't wear earrings often either, and I have a jewelry box full of chains, necklaces, rings and earrings. (some never worn!)
In his stocking I always put a Charlie Brown ornament, a minion ornament, some shower gel or cologne (I know the kind that smells best, lol). There has to be a box of chocolate covered cherries, and one of those 1 lb reese's peanut butter cups. And I always put a Charlie Brown page a day calendar. So there aren't a lot of surprises, but they are kind of 'traditions'. My favorite candy is M and M's pretzels..he could fill my stocking with those and I would be a happy camper. Oh,, and he can add some chocolate covered pretzels too, lol!

Between taking care of him, the house, and the furbabies, I don't have a lot of time for reading. And if I read, it's on the kindle app on my phone. He would have no clue what to pick, and these days neither would I!

Happy Birthday Toto! You are a handsome little guy.

DH always gets me books for Christmas. We do a scouting trip at Target while doing toy shopping. I tell him which books I would like and he writes down the titles. He also get me clothes which can sometimes be interesting. I try to show him what I want or I buy something and tell him to wrap it up for me. He once got me a bright orange shirt which the satellites in space would be able to see. I quietly donated it.

I love the candy treats especially the peppermint tootsie pops. I will have to find those. This time of year there are so many tempting treats out there.

Good evening.

All this talk of Hallmark Movies. Have you seen A Veteran's Christmas? It was from 2018 but I watched for the first time today. I really liked it and cried happy tears at the end.

Do any of you have this issue? If I see something, I just buy it. He wraps it up so I have something to open that day. It's not a big deal to me, but it is to him? MEN! LOL!
I think I mentioned that DH and I have shopped together and he bought me something but then forgot that he had and didn't give me until I asked where it was. I bought him a shirt he tried on in OBX and he bought me two I picked out. I hope he remembers. :rotfl2:

Once when we were first married, DH bought me a pocketbook. He told his father who apparently laughed and laughed saying that wasn't a good idea. FIL was right.

DH, both kids and their associated families, and I always make a list of ideas and suggestions and email them around. These days it is mostly an Amazon list. Of course, original ideas are always appreciated. For instance, DS likes to receive local consumables like beer, wine, chocolate. And none of us are above asking for or buying things as ordinary as a specific frying or sauce pan that might be desired. I bought DDIL a bird house.

First post of the morning
At the small school where I work, the 3 rd grade teacher has Covid ( oops we usually avoid talking about that part of the real world on this thread ). I work with the older students. So extra prayers her way. But the school principal decided to shut down for this whole week. Thus, excited to have a bonus day off today while my kids are still in school. Happy Monday!

Good morning all! Chilly day today, temp will only be a high of 43 and it's very windy. Hubby is at the kitchen table working from home, and all of my chores are done already. They have a long weekend from Thursday till Sunday, so he only has 3 days this week, and 5 next week and he is done! Turkey is defrosting, trying to decide if I want to make him a pumpkin pie. I don't do pumpkin and he really does not need to eat an entire pie by himself, lol. Think I'll go back to the cellar and go through more Christmas boxes and see whether I want to do 'all out' decorating as usual, or scale it back (leaning towards the second). I have quite a few pkgs coming this week, and that should finish up my shopping, except for the gift cards, which I will get at the store this weekend.

@sparkle78 -we occasionallly talk about the 'forbidden covid' now and then. Sorry to hear that one of your teachers has it. Hope it doesn't snowball and spread!

@Breezy_Carol -- I saw A Veteran's Christmas last year, and yep, made me tear up too!

My brother in law is out hunting today, they live in WV and take the whole week off for hunting there. I hope all the deer hide from him, lol!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Did 2 of my 3 must do things for the day.
Called oxygen supply place and ordered enough supplies to last until at least March

Called insurance broker and asked if we needed to schedule another appt, since she couldn't get onto the website Friday. She said it's up and working, and she was going to call, but it was 7 pm on Saturday night and she didn't want to bother us. She was on her way into the office and will call when she gets everything set up and we can get enrolled in our Part N's, and be done with that mess for at least a year. I can't believe they expect people to go through this every single year :(

Third thing is to color my hair,,gray starting to show through and I can't let that happen , lol!~

Morning all. Quiet one here as I binge on Below Deck. There are just so many cop shows I can watch for my husband and I let him have the TV at night so a fair compromise. His vision is poor since he had the strokes, one eye only sees shadows and shapes for the most part. He swears he sees well enough to drive. That is NOT happening.

I spent the weekend on a family Facebook page as we shared some really old pics. Found out my great grandmother had a brother who was in the Polish Army during WWI. Never knew she had a brother so that was nice to find out. Also got confirmation that my great grandparents had separated. She tore her wedding picture in half and threw out my great grandfathers picture. Love shaking that family tree.

Today is trying to organize some pictures and making sure I have the ones on my phone backed up. Getting a new phone, hopefully by the weekend. I hate the one i have now. Never sends me notifications and the maps app was not working right while I was lost in Lancaster a couple weeks ago. Saw the same covered Bridge 3 times before I finally figured out which way to go. I want to head out again with my granddaughter and need the app working. We are planning on doing a photo shoot of Covered Bridges in all 4 seasons. She is a fantastic photographer/artist and I love giving her opportunities to expand her vision. My home may soon be filled with her artwork. I already have one piece framed and waiting for the downstairs to be redone. Getting rid of paneling, new paint and new floors. This of course comes AFTER the new kitchen. It never ends. This is the piece she gave me last year for Mother's Day. She is so talented9.jpg
