Meriweather is supposed to be receiving updates by text. (She'll be posting to a thread we're both part of on the games board, and then I'll repost here.) She hadn't heard anything yet as of this morning.

Thank you so much for keeping us in the loop.

I'm in San Diego for a Risk Managment Conference, it is such a pleasant change in weather from the East Coast. I'm soaking it in! Of course, I was also in bed at 6:55 last night. Lack of sleep the night before I flew in & the time change did me in!

Good morning, sprinkling lightly outside, temp going to mid 50's again today.

Got all errands done yesterday, plus groceries, then stopped at Wendy's to try a thin mint chocolate frosty, man is that good.

Summer's truck isn't shaking anymore, but now when she makes a sharp turn, there's a weird noise coming from the steering somewhere. Back to the mechanic it goes this morning.

More spring cleaning on tap today, all mini blinds are down for a good wash, then doing the windows, then putting the blinds back up. That might be enough for the day.

@footballmouse Did you get to watch Survivor yet? Looks like there are going to be some tough challenges this year. There are a couple I can't stand already, and a couple I like. So far Joe is my favorite.

Have a good day everyone

I didn't hang around Evan's game, so I caught the last hour. I'll watch the first hour tonight when I get home.

Extra prayers for Bobbi. Love and Good Night to all.

Grace of God I have made great progress over the last two days. I can now get up from the bed using the walker without help! I stand about 15 seconds or so. I am doing my best to put a little more weight on my left foot. I haven't taken a step yet but that will come Ihave also (with therapist help) transfered a few times from my bed to a wheelchair. I'm doing exercises on my own in bed, too. God willing I am so praying to be back to normal by the end of this coming March. I know in His time I will get there. Truly each tiny step is such a blessing.

Thank you all always for listening and being in my corner.

@flyingdumbo127 Great news on getting up out of bed and doing your exercises. You are making progress.

Thinking of Bobbiwoz.

Good morning. It is 34 here now with temps heading to 40. Tomorrow is supposed to be near 50 and then we get the cold weather back. Yesterday I left for the office when I saw the snowflakes start up. I was able to get to work on dry roads and less traffic since I left about 10 minutes earlier. The snow showers turned to rain and thankfully the ride back from work wasn't too bad with just light rain. I went to the gym and did some errands. Today I am going to ladies night out with about 8 of us I think. I am not sure how that will go as I only know a few of them but it is worth a try. Kenny and GF are off to Cancun for a few nights. Quiet weekend ahead.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Had internet issues, everything was down in my area. Fixed now I guess.
40 degrees going to 55.

Thinking of Bobbi, hoping the old adage, 'no news is good news' is true. Her friend hasn't updated that I can see.
Yay Mona! Progress is being made, keep going.

Taking a break from Spring cleaning today. Did too much yesterday and my back is protesting.

Have a good day everyone

Hi everyone, Tom hadn’t done what he thought he did and so we hadn’t realized that my Disboard friends are in hearing from me. Today I will be leaving. ICU and going on another floor.

Today was the first day that I did take two small walks down the hall. I haven’t had anything to eat through my mouth yet. Everything comes through a pick line. They are getting a small test to see if and when I can translate to a liquid diet. Mona, I am so happy to hear of your progress. Please keep it up! I have to go back and read if you are in a new place or not.

Good to hear both of you are progressing!

Just moved from Boardwalk Villas over to Celebration with my family. We all enjoyed an accessible Boardwalk View room on the 2nd floor while there. It was a happy accident as I asked for the room number by request but didn't know it was accessible. Had the 2 bedroom under the grand villas and above Screen Door's first section. It was just right for my brother and kept him in the action although the wheelchair was needed. He could walk some but that tired him very easily. But he could actually get downstairs via the stairwell right by the room and out to the boardwalk. Going back he used the chair and the elevator. He also loves sitting outside on the huge balcony off the lobby and we did that several times with martini's from the bar nearby. None for me, haha! I had a cosmopolitan, first bar drink in ages as I tend to just sip a bit of wine, rarely.

We did a lot of meals together but the absolute best was the one my nephew in law treated the six of us to at Monsieur Paul's. It was outstanding! Highly recommend for a special occasion.

I'm still here for another week +, and will try to at least read a bit.

The weather is truly gorgeous right now and I'm sitting on the balcony looking out over the lake. So nice!

Take care, all.

Judique Glad you are having a nice trip.

Bobbiwoz Glad to hear from you. Prayers for more progress and recovery.

Good morning. It will be warm today with temps in the mid 50s. Then tomorrow it will not even reach 30. Crazy weather. I had a nice time at ladies night out last night. We are all from one section of the condo complex. There is a first section that was built which is up a bit of a hill from us. Then we are in the other section that was built last. We kidded about being from the wrong side of the tracks. It was a nice group. We hope to do it once a month a different restaurants. Today I am off to see Jeff and family. Kenny is in Cancun, no flight delays, and he has a nice rooftop room overlooking the ocean.

Have a good Saturday.

Good morning. Pleasant day here and the electrical issue is finally getting fixed. The wires from the supplier to the house need to be replaced as there is no insulation on them. The man from PECO, my electricity supplier, explained that water can start to get into the meter and short out the house.

Not much else going on. My dad keeps falling and PT is working on helping to get his balance a little better. He has so many bruises and the risk of a broken hip is always there. Still for almost 89 he has his sense of humor which is great to see.

A couple more doctors appointments for Jim and we can get the skin graft approved for his toe. Because of the diabetes he doesn't heal well.

Ella's school was evacuated on Thursday due to a construction accident outside the school. They have been doing a lot of construction on the roads which has been a nightmare just trying to get there. The crew digging in the street across from the school ruptured a gas main. There was a small explosion but the gas leaking was dangerous for the school and the students. They were finally sent home a couple of hours later as the other two schools nearby couldn't accommodate that many students. Thankfully she was safe thtough it all.

I leave for Disney World on Tuesday and can't wait for the break. I am a little more nervous about flying with all the accidents lately but I can't drive there on my own. It would take 4 days just to get there. It's about a 16 hour drive and I fall asleep when we hit Virginia, wake up just before South Carolina and then fall asleep until we hit Florida. I am not good on long distance drives, especially when there is nothing to see. I love the Flower and Garden Show which starts the next day so I am excited.

I may get on here again but if not I hope you all have a great week or two.

Good morning. 50 degrees already, going near 60, but we have high winds again. I can take everything but the winds.

@tazdev3225 - Sorry to hear about your father. I hope that you can get the graft approved for Jim. That's scary about Ella's school, glad they got everyone out and home safely. Have a great trip!

@Judique Enjoy your trip

Not feeling the greatest this morning. I'm going to strip and remake the bed and vacuum and then see how I feel before tackling another spring cleaning project

Have a good Saturday everyone

@Judique, your dinner sounds fabulous! What a treat for your family!

I really am too tired to do much. Yesterday I took took three little walks. Today is Saturday and I’m not sure anybody is coming to help me walk. However, because of the intervenous treatments, I don’t have much energy.

It has been a wonderful late morning early afternoon And Tom took this picture that I’ll share with you.

Bobbiwoz Great picture and great smile. You look good and have such a great attitude. Wishes for continued progress with your recovery.

Good morning. The warmer weather has vanished and left behind a 14 degree early morning. Temps aren't getting out of the 20s today. Yesterday was in the 50s even though it was mostly cloudy. I had fun with Jeff and the grandkids yesterday. We got outside and took a walk around the neighborhood. We played Disney in 10 which is a game in which one person takes a card and the others have 10 questions to try to figure out who the character is. We just kept asking questions until someone got it or we gave up. It was fun. Jeff made me a BLT sandwich for lunch. He was craving one so he made the sandwiches. So good. He roasted the tomatoes and it really adds a nice flavor. Kenny is having a nice time in Cancun. They are relaxing and eating good food.

Heading off to the gym. Too cold to walk outside this morning. Have a good Sunday.

Good morning. Yesterday morning when I got up it was 50. This morning it was 19. Going to 36, but at least the sun is out.
'
@bobbiwoz - Sounds like progress is being made, keep going and you'll be home before you know it.

No exciting plans for the day. Too cold to do anything outside, and I don't feel like cleaning today, I need a break

Have a nice Sunday everyone

Good morning. Another cold one, 10 degrees now with temps heading into the 20s. Yesterday I did venture out in the afternoon for a walk and it was cold with the wind. So glad I have my heavy coat that I bought this year. I made my pasta and bean soup as well as blueberry oatmeal bake. The bake is OK, not as crisp on the top as I was hoping. But it is a nice quick snack that is low sugar and the blueberries are very juicy and good. I got the recipe from Eating well. The soup will be good for supper all week.

Busy week at work. Have a good day.

Good morning. 30 and sunny here going to 45. Tomorrow and Wednesday in the 60's with thunderstorms Wed. Then back down to 40's. It shows by next week we'll be in the 70's.

I realized yesterday that we change the clocks again next Sunday. Seems like we just did it. We'll lose an hour's sleep, but gain an extra hour of daylight, I can live with that.

Off to start cleaning. It's kitchen Spring cleaning day.

Have a good Monday.
