Happy Thursday!

Cold out there today and yesterday. I woke up to some snow on the ground yesterday morning.

My aunt's funeral mass was very nice yesterday. After mass they had a small reception so I was able to talk to my cousins a bit.

Picked up Mia from daycare last night. I was supposed to meet them at Evan's soccer game later last night but Evan called and said he was going to have to go salt the roads so he needed help getting Mia. Of course, I wasn't going to say no, so I got her and picked up McDonald's for her dinner. Evan ended up being home when we got there and Bailey got home about an hour later. Evan said his boss told him to go to his game and then go salt. I just had time to sit with Mia while she ate and then we went to her room and read some books. I bought her Xmas hair clips the other night so we played beauty shops and she had about 5 clips in her hair. It was Evan & Bailey's wedding anniversary yesterday and I forgot to bring the card with me. I told them that I didn't forget the date, but the card will be late. Not sure if I really want to mail it since it will have a gift card inside.

So yesterday my director put in funeral leave for me. She knew it was my aunt that passed away. Yesterday morning I got 2 text messages from her about a work related item. I wasn't going to reply but as I was walking out the door I decided to reply with a quick yes or no answer hoping that answered the question and it was the end of it. Nope, she texted me 2 more times about a quick check of my email to look something up. I didn't even open the message, I was pretty mad. First of all, I don't get paid to check texts or emails when I'm not clocked in. And second, I'm at a funeral!!!! I just thought that was so unprofessional and disrespectful of her. I can't wait to get out of this office. One more month!

Watched Survivor last night. I thought it was the season final but surprise, it wasn't. I was so happy with who was voted out first, and I was fine with who went out on the last half of the episode. Guess I'll wait until next week to see who wins it all.

Stay warm and have a great day!

Good morning. Winter temps have moved back in. The wind is wicked and was howling last night. Our high temp will be 31 today. 2 of the outside cats wouldn't even move off the porch swing to eat, I had to put their food out there. 2 of the others haven't been seen yet today.

I did shopping yesterday and Walmart was like an obstacle course. No one wants to move out of the way, especially the Walmart employees who are doing pick up orders. They are a pain in the neck. One of them parked dead center in a row, and then proceeded to walk up and down to get the stuff she needed. I finally just took her cart and moved it to one side. Another lady started clapping for me, lol. Store customers should still have the right of way.

Gracie quit the job she had at the meat market , because the meat manager was being mean to her and no one would do anything about it. She got a job yesterday at Dairy Queen, and will be making $15.25 an hour, $5.25 more than she was making at the other place. Hard to believe that fast food jobs are paying that much these days.
Lily is having a hard time juggling college and a job. She's afraid she's going to fail 2 of her finals next week, and is working herself into a panic.

I'm getting frustrated with the guy who is supposed to be buying the wood stove in the basement. First he texts me 3 weeks ago asking when he could pick it up., but we hadn't discussed price. He comes back with "I thought you said I could have it if I blocked off the stove pipes it was using (the wood stove was vented into the house heating system when we bought the house). I said no such thing. I told him I wanted $500 for it. He insulted me by offering me $100 and I told him no way. I'll just let it sit down there, it's not doing anything but taking up a corner. Then he asked me what my lowest price was. I told him $450. He said he could do that and would get back to me in a couple of days when he could come and see what he needed to block off those pipes. Didn't hear anything for 2 weeks. In the meantime someone else was interested. I texted him Monday and asked if he was still interested, or I was selling it to the other guy. He said he wanted it. Yesterday he texts and asks if he can come and measure the pipes. That he would be here at 4. At 4:30 he texts and says he can't make it till today, that he can be here at 8 am. I said not until after 10. So if he doesn't show up, the other guy is taking it. I just want it gone before we get snow on the ground.

I have a few more packages to wrap, still waiting for 2 to come in the mail. Everything keeps getting 'delayed'.

Have a nice day.

Just :grouphug:dear Footballmouse.

Dear Lynn, I would love to be able to go shopping or anywhere right now such as the laundromat and Ralphs. I don't miss crazy crowds! I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Prayers for Gracie, Lily, and always for you.

Page 2 is not ever allowed especially to start a new day. Good morning dear friends:grouphug: It's been cooler for here which makes daily soup and cocoa all the more tasty. May each of you enjoy a warm treat today.

I received in the mail a coupon giveaway notice from JCPenney. Dad and I used to go when you were guranteed at least $10 off $10. This time it said there is a $60 off $60 waiting for someone. I have no idea wherher this is happening today-Sunday. It used to be at open on Saturday. If you are interested I would suggest calling your closest Penney's and asking. May any of you who go get a good coupon and find something needed too.

Happy Friday!

My last weekend with my weekend group in Labor & Delivery. Going to be a sad and emotional weekend. We're bringing food for tonight, it's the last night for our charge nurse.

Stopped after work yesterday and bought a Woody xmas blow-up for Evan's yard. It will be a xmas present for him.

Started watching a new series on Netflix called No Good Deed. It stars Ray Romano, Lisa Kudrow, Dennis Leary, Luke Owens, Linda Cardelline, and a few other known people. It's interesting. It's from the same people who did Dead to Me and it does fall along that style.

Finished up the laundry, glad to get that done. Now I have to make some time to do the ironing.

The Today Show producers are going to be in my office today. They're doing a story on a couple of our audiology researchers and the hearing lab they use for the studys is located in my office. Hopefully we'll get notice on when the story will air on the show.

Have a good weekend!

Bobbiwoz I hope goes well with the surgery. Sending thoughts and prayers to you and Tom.

Good morning. Got back yesterday. The flight was on time and the luggage came out sooner than usual so I got on the bus and back to my car early. I was back at the condo before 3 pm. Missed rush hour thankfully. The trip was nice, I did better than the first solo trip. I went to Epcot every day to walk around and really see things. I was able to ride what I wanted to and see what I wanted. On Wednesday I went to Epcot at 9 am and it was empty in World Showcase except near Frozen of course. And even then it wasn't bad. I took a nice leisurely walk around the World and took the time to look at everything including across the lake. What I liked about club level is the for breakfast. I just had to walk down the hall and get food and coffee. No decisions on where to go. I stopped in for a snack lunch and appetizers for dinner. I did have salad withdrawal and had to get a salad at Boardwalk Deli for supper one day. While there they had a candy cane cheesecake bar with brownie crust. I had to get that and it took me 2 days to eat it. It was so yummy. I had a couple of meltdowns but I expected that. The band that plays behind the England pavilion started playing the opening chords of a Beatles song that Chris played many times on his guitar. It just took me back to when he would play guitar to Beatles CDs. Had to go to the Ladies room for a bit. Squirrels were everywhere and DS Jeff does not like squirrels having had them in his attic. I got a picture of one and sent it to him. I told him it reminded me of Christmas Vacation when the squirrel jumps out of the tree. Chris would laugh like crazy. Chris favorite character was Donald. I was walking in Studios when Donald popped out of a door next to me and waved to me. My room was decorated with Donald pics. That made me smile. Back to reality now. I am glad I have lunch today with my good friend. I figured it would be a good way to ease back into things.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Cloudy and going to be 37 today.

@footballmouse Somehow I missed seeing your post from yesterday until just now. I think you posted just before I did. For some reason I thought Survivor was the finale this week too. Why are they messing with the formulary and screwing us all up? Next Wed, instead of the usual 3 hour finale, it's just 2 hours. This whole season was weird for me. I'm still pulling for Sam, but darn Rachel keeps winning all the immunity challenges. I can't stand Sue or Teeny. I hope your last weekend goes well, even if it's sad.

@Snowysmom I'm glad you had a nice trip. It's okay that you remembered Chris at times, but that you made some new memories for yourself.

The guy for the woodstove never showed up at 10 like he was supposed to. I waited until noon and then texted him and told him to forget it, that I was selling to the other guy who was interested. He texted me back that he could be here at 2:30 and I told him not to bother, that the other guy was already on his way here to measure. That guy showed up within 20 min of my calling him and they're going to try for tomorrow to get it out of here. The first guy texted me a not so nice text saying I was rude. I was rude? He's the one who didn't get back with me for 3 weeks. He's the one who didn't show up Wednesday like he said he was and he's the one who never showed up yesterday morning like we agreed. His loss, not mine.

My packages are waiting on the front porch for the mail carrier to pick them up and get them on their way. I'm all done with packages now. I was upset with Walmart last night. I ordered a cat bed for my littlest cat, who keeps crawling under the blankets to sleep. I ordered it Wed. after being in the store and not finding it, even though it said it was in stock. So I ordered it online. It said it would be delivered yesterday from the store. Then I got a 'delayed' email with no delivery date. I got on a chat and they couldn't tell me when it would get here. It was $17.97 and the guy on the phone gave me a $15 credit, so it was costing me $3, I figured I could wait.
Last night I'm watching tv around 7:30 when I got a text that my delivery from Walmart would be here in 3 minutes. I waited, and didn't see any car. Another text saying it was delivered. Look at the picture and it's not my porch. My porch is lit up with Xmas lights and I had the porch light on. It looked like my neighbors porch so I got a flashlight and walked over, and sure enough, there's my pkg sitting on their porch. And it's the same driver who's been here many many times. I called customer service to report that it was delivered to the wrong house and they gave me another $10 credit. How on earth does Walmart make money when they do that? I had another item last week, that was delayed. They refunded me for a more expensive item that was already here (and I was keeping) and the other item came Fed Ex overnight delivery (a $6 item). It's just crazy!

I'm off of here to go do a couple of errands and then come home and do some more cleaning. I went in the cellar to move some stuff to get the stove out, and ended up with another 2 trash bags full of stuff for pick up next week, and reorganized one side of the cellar and have a lot more room.

Have a good Friday (Friday the 13'th, don't walk under any ladders!)

Welcome home dear Snowysmom. I'm so glad you had a good trip. Hugs my friend and I completely agree with our friend Lynn about memories. Extra care to both of you lovely ladies.

Lynn, I truly hope for easier next deliveries and service for you my friend.

Hug Footballmouse and new work beginning prayers, my friend.

Good morning. It is 18 degrees here with temps heading to 32. It will be a quiet weekend as the kids are busy. I hope to keep busy with housework, errands, and starting catch up at work. I may try to get a walk in at the lake dressed very warmly of course.

Have a good Saturday.

Good morning. 21 outside now, heading for 38. Now they said a nasty word, maybe 3-5" of snow tomorrow. Nooooo!

I'm hoping they can get the woodstove out of here today, I don't want to have to clear snow to move my car out of their way tomorrow, and I don't want snow tracked through the house with people going in and out.

Have a good day

We decorated our tree today 🎄
I had my DD set up our tree today also. I put an owl ornament on it I got at Disney Springs.

Whenever we set up a tree the cats always get really interested. It's not a good idea here to decorate it until they get used to it. One will climb into it and hide. We will put stuff on it after a couple of days.

The lights alone are so beautiful!

Good morning. It is14 degrees here this morning with temps going into the 30s. I went to Wegman's in my warmest coat. Picked up a few things that I like to get there. Back at the condo and will do some work to catch up more. I also have housework to do. Kenny is coming by to set up Hallmark+ for me. I have no idea how to do it. He got me a subscription for my birthday. Yesterday I did alot of house work and went to the gym to use the treadmill. I don't put up a Christmas tree but enjoy the ones the kids put up. My mantel is decorated as well as a few assorted items around the condo. I have attached pictures of the gingerbread carousel at Beach Club and the Christmas tree at Epcot.

Have a good Sunday.

Good morning. It's 33 at the moment, raining with a little sleet mixed in. Depending on which station you listen to, they say 1-3 or 3-5 of snow with some icing possible. I'm hoping for the 1-3, of just plain snow. My back can't take cleaning more than that. I put the car cover on last night, it's easier to just pull it off and all the snow along with it, than to try and clean off the car. And it keeps the locks from getting frozen shut.

I put 1/2 of a chuck roast in the crock pot with pot roast seasoning for dinner tonight. I watched Red One on Prime last night. Seemed weird to watch a movie that is still in theaters. It was a little far fetched, but it made me laugh at points so I enjoyed it.

I did all the laundry and cleaning yesterday, so I can find something relaxing to do today. I might get out my jigsaw puzzle and work on that some more.

@Judique The youngest cat is the only one who tried to climb the tree or undecorate it. Last year I would get up every morning and find a dozen unbreakable ornaments scattered on the carpet. This year, he took one off and that was it. None of them have even slept on the tree skirt, which is unusual. The tree is in the same place, it's the same tree skirt, but the tree is untouched, lol

Have a good day everyone

Hi, we are home from WDW and had a wonderful time. This years Candlelight Processional was the best one yet, IMO. They seem to tweak it a little each year, and I think they got it perfect! Our narrator was Ralph Macchio, and it was his first time narrating and he was excited to be there and shared some of his family’s stories.

Tomorrow I go to pre op testing.

We did get our cards written and mailed from the lodge. Now just to write the new ones I missed.🎄

I hope everyone has a great day.
