Good morning. Getting ready to head out soon. I had a nice dinner with Kenny, GF, and the kids last night. We had the chocolate cake for Chris' birthday. We talked about Papa with the kids. They asked if he was in Heaven. I told them we are celebrating Papa today and he loves you. It was definitely an off day for me and today I am still a bit off but looking forward to seeing my friend and heading to North Conway.

Good morning. Going to be 60 today, and sunny, then temps dropping to the 50's most of the week.

I finally got the coats of polyurethane on the outdoor cat's house and I'm going to put the insulation material on the walls today.

I'm going to strip and remake the bed first, and pass the swiffer wet jet over the kitchen and bathroom floors. Crossing my fingers that today is a day without issues or problems, I've had enough of them all week. Now I'm arguing with Amazon over a pkg that was supposed to be delivered on Monday, then changed to Wed. It's now Saturday and it's showing it's been sitting in KY for the whole week. They issued a refund, but are telling me I have to return it. I can't return what I don't have. After the third phone call, they finally called it lost in shipping and said if it shows up to just keep it.

Weird with the Amazon order! I had to return something a few months back and they refunded to a gift card instead of my credit card which meant I was going to have to pay the credit card and let the gift card money sit. Since I was returning very promptly, I objected.

They didn't seem to 'get' what I was saying, but eventually I got to speak to a human and then, eventually my card was refunded.

I do put money on Amazon gift cards but only on my terms, such as when I buy them with a discount and then load onto my account.

It was a challenge to get routed to a human also.

Really busy here as I'm catching up on a lot of chores I've been neglecting. Mostly outside stuff but winter is coming and stuff has to get done.

One added chore is leaves falling everywhere! Neighbor's tree drops them on my roof and I've got gutter covers but they sit on top, just waiting for me to point the leaf blower up there!

Then, they fall all over my deck and dog tracks them inside so I have to blow them off the deck. Meanwhile I'm glancing up at that tree and thinking 'hurry up already'!

As far as winter, we haven't seen much snow in years. But it does get pretty cold. I've seen a lot of woolly caterpillars. And they look pretty black!

Yesterday I ordered our Thanksgiving dinner for our Hilton Head trip. @bobbiwoz I went with Sproutmomma. They bought Signe's.

It's pricey but what can you do? We have a studio but want to eat in. Ours will be ready to eat (heated) on pickup. I'm packing my small folding camp table and chairs to make extra space as there is no longer a table in the rooms, just the tiny one on the balcony. I'm also bringing some small lap trays. If the day is warm we may take advantage of a picnic table outside. Lucky for me I'll have space in my car!

Before ordering I checked out a lot of the restaurants and wasn't coming up with what I really wanted which was TG food with maybe some leftovers! Oh, I may have to bake a pecan pie. I'm fussy and like my own recipe.

Can't wait to get going!

One of the cat houses is all done, inside and outside. My back is aching, but the insulation is all in and the mat is down. When I put the other one together, I'm putting the insulation stuff on as I do each piece.

Good cloudy morning. Calling for rain around 10 or so, but we'll see.
It's hard to believe that Don's been gone a year today. Sometimes time seemed to drag, other times it seems to fly by.

Summer asked if I wanted to ride along with them to bring her husband all the way back to the border of KY to bring him to his ride spot, but I wasn't up to sitting in a car for 8+ hours. I'll just spend the day here quietly.

Nothing new, not planning on doing much of anything today.

Oh no. Hug dear Bobbi. I pray your humidifier helps. I've only had a few slight nosebleeds since we got our humidifiers. Both were on days I had thoroughly brushed my hair following a dry shampoo. I need to be gentler. Reminder to myself to take care to not practice getting up and down too many times as all that jostling is an instigator.

I've been enjoying a free trial of FRNDLY TV that includes both Hallmark and Hallmark Movies and Mystery which I like for extra Christmas movies. Being able to record a movie and then somewhat fast forward commercials is awesome.
