Good morning, dear friends and happy Tuesday. I never did post this at my usual time so here I am by the grace of God now. Dad and I have had an eventful morning. God is forever with and for us in ALL ways. The recliner lift chair we have has been out of whack. Sometimes it is completely unresponsive to the remote while at other times it works just fine. The remote can also result in the chair not fully doing what I ask the remote to. For example not going completely down or working for a moment before going out. The other odd issue with it, is sometimes the remote does the opposite of what it is supposed to do! For example, pressing, "sit," which means the recliner should be like a regular chair, results in it instead reclining

In other words, there is definitely a problem with the chair! Dad, with help from a kind salesman named Kevin from a medical supply store out of our immediate area, was able to locate the tag with the model and serial numbers last night. Kevin apologized when he shared based on the information he determined our chair is from 2016. His company only has parts for chairs that were made within the last 5 years. Grace of God, I did find another company that will make a service call tomorrow. For us the fee for this call is a ton of money. However to find out whether the chair can be fixed is a necessity. We will get a call tomorrow morning with a 3 hour window of when the technician will come.
I have a 4-shelf cart on wheels whose third shelf lines up perfectly with the properly reclined chair. I realized this soon after the chair issues began. Now, whenever I am trying to sleep, and the chair is reclined, I have my phone on that shelf so I can reach it. God's Mercy and Presence is forever, His Care. Dad was at the laundromat earlier while I was sleeping. I woke up less than ten minutes before he came home. When I awoke, I needed the bathroom. One problem. You got it. The remote was completely unresponsive and I was, of course, reclined all the way. God had dad come home just in time and more than that He gave me the strength to get upright on the chair and scoot forward. Dad helped me at the end. I was able to normally use the walker to get to the restroom. Praise extra to God! Dad was able to finally get the chair to cooperate into a regular seated position that it is now. We will go from there later. This afternoon, we will be looking up recliner/lift chairs to get an idea of cost. Renting one is astronomical! Buying one obviously is very expensive too but in the long run might be cheaper. We will know more tomorrow. Chair prayers appreciated. Thank you all for listening to all this.
Hugs and good afternoon hugs to all.
