Good morning very pleasant here today with temps in the 70's right now and only going to about 82.

I don't know id any of you watch the TV show OutDaughtered on TLC. I caught an episode the other day and the family went to DIsney World. It was so much fun watching it until I fell asleep any way. I have caught episodes here and there since the Quints were babies and they have grown up. It was a really fun episode and I'll try and watch it On Demand later this weekend.

I have laundry and then I'm taking Ben and Wyatt to my swim club for a few hours. Anthony's surgery is today, and I figure their other grandmother can use a break and the boys can have some fun. It's going to be a long day worrying about the surgery and Anthony. I just hope he recovers quickly and gets into a nicer mood after. He is a teenager which is tough enough, but he has been unable to do anything he enjoys for 2 of the last 3 years. I hope this surgery fixes that knee so that it stays stable, and he can enjoy life again. It's hard when you are an athlete and love to play and can't because of injuries. Thankfully he is being operated on by one of the top Sports Orthopedists at Children's Hospital. My daughter also found a great place for PT that is close to home but specializes in rehab for athletes.

PSA - when you get tires changed or they hubcaps are taken off always check to make sure the hubcaps are put back on correctly. I found out the hard way that mine was put on wrong when I kept losing air in my tire. There is a notch, sort of a half circle that goes over the valve stem. If that does not line up correctly the hubcap digs into the valve stem and eventually puts a nick in it. While the car was in for that repair I had them check my brakes. Glad I did as my front brakes are at 95% worn and the rear are at 75% worn. The car is going in on Monday for brakes and Inspection. Not an expense I planned on, but I had a feeling the brakes needed replacing. I wanted them checked because the car is at almost 39,000 miles and I never have needed brakes before.

Hope you all have a great days

Good thoughts for Anthony today.

Brakes - that's been on my mind. My car is 2017 with 51000 miles and has never had a brake job. I keep asking and get told 'not yet, they are good'. I do expect at least a 1K job when the time comes as now they do the rotors as well as the brakes at the same time.

No noises, no squealing or squeaking and still stops fine. My car also has that brake assist thing where if it thinks you are getting too close to some danger, it brakes on it's own, which freaked me out the first couple of times.

Just a quick update. Anthony's surgery went well. No additional tears or bone fragments. The surgeon is confident that this is a good graft and will hold up. Now comes the hard part with Anthony putting the work in to get the knee AND leg muscles stronger.

@tazdev3225 Great update! Hope PT gets him back to where he wants to be

Good morning. It's sunny and going to be 82 again. Heat comes back tomorrow with storms.
My day didn't start well, and it hasn't gotten much better. I woke up to 4 FB messages asking me why I wasn't going to the family 'reunion' type thing on July 3. I had already spoken to the sister in law hosting it, when I ran into her in Walmart 2 weeks ago and told her I wasn't going. I didn't feel I owed anyone an explanation why, I just said I couldn't make it. So now I have people asking me why I'm not going. First, I don't want all of these people bringing up Don and making me sad and cry. Second, my friend from CO is coming in that morning, and she wouldn't be comfortable with all those strangers. I want to be able to just relax and enjoy her visit and have fun. End of story, one would think. They just won't let it go, so now I'm just deleting messages unread.

Then I had an issue with walmart+ trying to place an order. There was no add to cart button, only a subscribe one. I finally get on chat and he tells me that it's an issue the last few days, gives me a work around to it. But when I went to check out, it said I couldn't unless I subscribed (no thank you, it's $6.99 every time they deliver a subscribed item (and that's after they waive the $9.99 delivery fee for members. I get on the phone with customer service and she can't figure it out. Finally she says I managed to unsubscribe you, you must have accidentally subscribed for both of those items. No I didn't, your stupid website did it. I was able to place the order, but then I got no email confirmation # and the order didn't show up in purchase history. But it sure came out of my bank account right away. They gave me a promotional credit and 3 hours later I finally got a confirmation email. But geez, why make it so frustrating? I told them if they don't fix the website issues by next week when my renewal comes up, I'll be cancelling it. It's been issue after issue with them lately.

Then I clean the kitchen, and get out the big cup I use to fill the bird feeders and fill it. Phone rings, so I set it down on the counter. Come back to find that my always in trouble cat, has decided to knock it all over the kitchen floor. I had to spend another 15 minutes vacuuming the bird seed from everywhere on the floor.
I'm ready to quit and it's only noon, lol

Have a nice afternoon everyone

My ex had ACL surgery because of a tear/fall while playing basketball during the time we were married.

It took a full year of rehab.

Hopefully medicine has progressed more for this injury since the late 80ties when he had his surgery.

I used to watch and really enjoy this show, but I felt like toward the end of last season, the show-runners were purposely creating drama between the parents. I tried to watch the first episode this season and finally gave up. Maybe I'll go find this episode in On Demand, though, just for the Disney fix!

Glad to hear Anthony's surgery went well!!

Laughing at the birdseed because I spilled mine earlier.

Editing to add - I refuse to fall for any of these 'pay' programs. Not even Amazon prime as I get that free.

Wait, I better be quiet, I'm paying for Sam's Club and Costco.....

Guess I drew the line at Walmart+ and the grocery store ones.

@tazdev3225, prayers that Anthony does well in rehab! Glad the surgery went well.

Good morning! Yesterday we shut the AC off, and it’s lovely as well this morning! Riding bikes yesterday morning was no joke, especially as we turned into the wind!

My Sister, a friend and I went to a one woman play last night, “Tea for Three” and I really enjoyed it. Three parts, one featured Ladybird Johnson, next Pat Nixon and finally Betty Ford, as they reflected on being a First Lady during their husband’s administration. Most poignant to me was Ladybird, especially as she talked about how they cane to live in the White House.

As we were driving home, I realized our young friend Michele wasn’t born when President Kennedy was assassinated, she was born in 1965!

Enjoy your days! If I am motivated, I will stake some of my gladioli, as they are blooming, and many are top heavy and falling. I definitely should have thought about doing this sooner!

Tazdev Glad the surgery went well. Now on to a great rehab.

Lynn I hope you have a nice time with your friend. A simple I cannot attend is enough. for the reunion.

Bobbiwoz That play sounds very interesting. 3 very different first ladies.

Good morning. It is 60 here right now again heading into the 70s. Yesterday was nice so I walked at the lake. I got some Chinese food for dinner and will have it again tonight. I am heading to Kenny's for breakfast this morning. He has a new outdoor grill he wants to try breakfast on. So far today I have changed the bed, cleaned the bathrooms, and took a walk. I need to return a shirt to Kohls. I ordered it online and it is too big for me so back it goes. While at Kohls I can take a look around. I need a shirt to go with a navy blue tiered long skirt that I got for the cruise.

Have a good Saturday.
