Taz We are here for you. We help each other through. Praying for your Dad, Mom, you, Anthony, and the family. It is alot to deal with right now. Take care of your self too so you can help care for others. And, if a little chocolate helps, and it does have antioxidants, maybe have some. Just take a quiet break and nibble on some chocolate.

It is sunny here today and going to the 70s. I have already gone to Market Basket. I picked up staple foods that I am bringing to the condo; mustard, ketchup, salad dressings etc. Plus butter for the fridge, napkins, paper towel, and toilet paper. The fridge seems to be working well. Now if I can only learn how to turn on the water for the washer. Kenny is away this weekend but hopefully next week he can take a look. I am not going to mess around with them and start a flood in the laundry room. I took a walk and need to have some breakfast. Then I am going over to the condo to drop off the stuff, vacuum the master bedroom, and use the wood wipes on the floor in the living area. I do just so much each day and stop. I find that works for me right now. This change is really making me anxious for some reason and it makes me miss Chris even more. I have to stop with the changes and I know I brought this one upon myself. But, I could not stay in that other condo another day. I think having to make a change to living near Kenny is still less stressful than staying the the area Chris and I lived in and in that hotel suite condo. I have to take it one day at a time. Not easy!

I m starting to get ready for my WDW trip in 2 weeks. Jeff invited me to stay with them the night before and he will drive me to the airport at 4:00 am. Bless him! I will leave my car at his house. When I get back I will take a cab to his house. He says there are taxis right outside the terminal looking for passengers. Kenny's GF has used the taxis from the airport when she lived in Boston and she was very happy with them. I know I can Uber but ride share is a long walk with luggage and I am still not sold on the idea. I do have the app on my phone now so I can use them if I have to. I have been planning meals and what I want to eat at the wine and food booths. You can see where my mind is!

Good morning. Summer weather is back, will be in the 90's all of this week. Darryl texted me this morning that his nephew (works for a tree service), is going to come out and look at the tree this weekend if possible. I'm not in a hurry, we aren't expecting high winds that would knock down branches that big,, lol.

Already stripped and remade the bed, going to pass the swiffer over the kitchen floor and then plan menu's for the long weekend. I made sure the new grill lights easily, it did. We'll be using it this weekend for sure. I got a tracking # from Coleman that the other one will be here Tuesday. All I have to do is find that piece and then find somewhere to store that big box until someone wants it.
Nothing else new going on around here..Same old same old, just a different day, lol

Just a quick hello.

It is definitely getting to be a little brisk in the morning. While I love the summer I don't think I will miss this one. To try and brighten my spirits I bought a new Fall table cover and put it on the dining room table. I also got some new sheets and put the Wedding Ring quilt my parents gave me for my 25th anniversary on the bed. While walking Chewie this morning the moon was still in the morning sky and somehow that just made me feel good. I am trying to take things one day at a time and finding something positive each day.

I truly appreciate the kind words and prayers. My daughter pointed out that my dad is 87 and I have been blessed to have him for a long time. There are still some options if this surgery didn't work but at his age my parents will have to make some tough choices, but it is THEIR choice. I will take each day as it comes, and pray for the strength to handle whatever is to come over the next few days and weeks.

On a bright note my nephew is getting married. They aren't having a big affair sadly. I would have loved going to Colorado. Still it is good news and we will have a party here for them.

Happy Saturday everyone. I woke up feeling soo much better today.

Any plans for the long weekend? Nothing here, just taking it easy since Im still a little tired, even if I am feeling better. DH and his coworker/best bud are still in Rhode Island for work so they are driving to Maine today for at least the night, maybe two. I wish I was there, I really wanted to go to Maine while I was in Rhode Island. I'm hoping to go back with DH after the wedding in a couple weeks so maybe we can go then.

Have I mentioned the wedding? Our very close best family friend's youngest son is getting married on the 16th. DH is officiating... He got ordained online after they asked him if he would do it for them. I'm putting together the ceremony for him and it's going to be so sweet. I know I have mentioned me doing event flowers with another friend so this friend and I will be doing the flowers along with making some treats for the reception. It's going to be a fun time. I love my dress and my shoes I got so can't wait to wear them. DH has to go back to RI after the wedding so I'll probably go back with him for a couple weeks. Looking forward to hopefully see some fall color changes.

Feels a little like fall today and I love it even if I know it's not going to stay this way.

We had a really early day today, took the dogs out then went out for breakfast, it was nice. We were supposed to do yard work but when we got back the grass was all wet, so we figured we’d wait a bit. Wound up falling back asleep! Oh well, tomorrow’s another day. Busy cooking some things I bought - tonight making Salisbury Steak from a recipe we saw in IG, and we had some chicken marinating, sauteed that with some long grain rice. Last night I had some maple marinade I wanted to use, put it on some pork chops. We’ll have lots of leftovers for the week and probably some to freeze. I like having things to eat in the house. Weather turned cooler here, it was just 59 at breakfast but we sat outside in the sun so it actually felt hot. I like this time of year! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday, everyone! DD is feeling better, thankfully.

Good morning. Prayers to all who need them. Thinking of Taz, daxedx3, Frog, and anyone who needs an extra boost. It is a sunny day and supposed to be in the 80s. It will be getting hotter over the next few days. Kenny is in CA for a wedding, near San Francisco. He reserved a rental car at that airport and there were none to be had when he arrived. He and GF got an Uber and went to San Jose airport and took whatever car they had. Then they went to look at Redwood trees and other sights. This is a tough weekend to travel as so many others have the same idea. I will be seeing Jeff and family today. They are so busy I have to get time in where I can. A friend invited me to a get together tonight but she lives over an hour away. I do not want to be driving on 495 after 9 pm on a holiday weekend night. She understands. If it were in the afternoon I would have gone. Today I will walk, work, see Jeff, walk, and then see what time it is. Hallmark movies are probably on the agenda.

I plan on trying out the new grill tonight to see how it works. The new grill mat I ordered came by Amazon a few minutes ago. I had bought one the other day, but it turned out to be too thin, and too big. It's going back to Amazon this week. I'm making filet mignon burgers (O'maha Steaks). I made potato salad to go with it, and have fresh corn.

Prayers for @frog3101 , @tazdev3225 , @Kirby and @dazedx3 , those others who need them, and all of the other members of our Quacker family who no longer post. I still think of them often.

Cooler day here again so far. Dad is at PavilionsI just enjoyed listening to this morning's sermon. Reminder of the Scripture I read in my Devotional earlier (God's timing is forever right on time, of course. He often also has me read His words in extra ways as I also hear them similarly in my heart or in or other means soon thereafter).

Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! (Psalm 46:10 NKJV)
The minister also preached on Peter and how Jesus perfectly used him to remind us to be still and always seek to do His Will NOT ours! I quietly pray every day to be used by Him as He calls.

Snowysmom, I am sure not a late night outing person anymore! No thanks! Safe travels prayers for your son. Gid willing one day should you ever come much closer to me please of course let me know

We've tried them already. We've had the chicken breasts, the ground beef burgers, the pork chops (we got the $99 special the first time). We've had the brisket burgers, the ny strip ones and the Wagyu ones.. The chicken, pork and hot dogs are really good. Don likes the burgers, but I don't see anything really special in them to justify the cost. We still have the filet mignon's that came in the first pkg. So I don't really know how their steaks are, we're going to order some the next time.
