Good morning!

Sending prayers for our friends on the west coast of FL! Hurricane coming in. I have a few friends there.

DD is home sick with bronchitis/pneumonia. She’s been so run down with all the extra hours she had to do last month for her practicum, and she’s doing her capstone class now, so many papers to write and research to do, etc. All while working FT. She’s been sick a lot. I will be so glad when she’d done with school!

also for all you know and care for in FL, dear Lynn!

I do have an X-Ray appointment for tomorrow morning. I'm very grateful at how quickly I am able to get that taken care of! I also just called Dr. E's, my dentist's, office and spoke with his kind receptionist, Angelica. She will let the doctor know of my X-ray tomorrow and to please contact me once he has seen them so that we can discuss my options. I made it very clear that no matter what I end up choosing (continuing to try to save the tooth or extraction) I definitely want to talk with Dr. E to find out what either process (especially the after part in the extraction route) would involve. One step at a time. Dad and I will also be going to another Target tomorrow to hopefully get our wipes and use the two Target Circle offers ($15 Target Store Gift Card when you spend $50 on Home Care and $10 off with a $60 purchase).

Dad and I, are of course, also hoping Boost comes through today! I will update on all accounts as i can. Thank you all forever for your love and care! Enjoy the rest of the day, friends!

Good afternoon.

I feel like I am on a bad roller coaster ride. Thankfully we were able to get the ultrasound on Anthony today. My daughter reviewed it with a surgeon she works with and he feels it's nothing to worry about. That was a huge relief. Of course, I had Ben with me, and we forgot to give him Dramamine. He gets CARSICK!!! Thankfully I always have some plastic bags in the car now and he knows to use them. Then he decided he was hungry, so I treated him to a "breakfast" wrap at Dunkin. While I was dealing with all this the refrigerator repairman came and I have ice again. Now to hope it lasts longer than 2 years.

Then the bad news dropped again. My mom has Covid and is feeling lousy with a fever between 102 and 103. Her normal body temp is 97. My dad may have it too. My mom will only take advice from my brother the "doctor". He has a PhD in some science so that makes him an expert. I just make an excuse to hang up. I love my brother but I get tired of hearing how great he is, how brilliant his kids are, how BIG his kids are, etc. It gets old after a while.

I can't wait for August to end and a new month hopefully with better news than we have had lately.

Taz So sorry things are not going well. Good news for Anthony which is good. Sorry your mother and maybe father have covid. She does need to talk to a medical doctor. That way she knows what she needs to do to get better. It must be frustrating hearing about your brother and his family. All you can do is walk away for the moment.

@flyingdumbo127 Nice that you have an appt tomorrow. Then you can make your plans for treatment. Waiting is the worst.

@Pea-n-Me I hope your DD feels better soon. She has been doing so much so must be so tired and run down. I hope she can take it easy soon once school is done.

Not much going on today. I have not been feeling well today with a migraine and a bit out of sorts. The stress and anxiety are getting to me I think. We may go to the condo tonight so Kenny can install a few of the blinds. He is busy the rest of the week and away for the weekend. I am just anxious about everything getting done and about the technology stuff like the TV, cable, internet etc as well as my security system. I do not like to have to burden my kids with my needs but like I said, I am a true technoidiot. Chris was the one who did all the tech stuff. We each did what we did best but now it is just me and I am barely treading water. I try to follow it but my brain just goes tilt. I think I will take another walk.

Snowysmom. You ARE wonderful! A true blessing to all graced by God extra to care for and love you. I will gladly remind you anytime, my friend, you know I will! Thank you so much. I completely agree! Grateful indeed to be moving forward with all this. I pray to never take being able to smile normally again when this is over!

Editing to add the great news that Boost delivery today could not have been any better! The kind shopper brought all three cases of Aquafina inside for us and even put them on a little table we have near our front door. Extra blessing absolutely from God!

Thought and prayers to all. My friend's dog is having surgery today for a small lump in her mouth. She is a border collie and so sweet. They are concerned it may be cancer but I am praying it is benign. It doesn't bother her and she is still her usual self.

Good morning. A bit dark and cloudy this morning. Showers expected with temps around 80. Jeff's kids start school today. The summer went by quickly. Kenny's start tomorrow. Kenny put up half my shades last night. I had to get corded shades as the top of the windows are too high for me to be able to just use my hands to make the shades go top, down. Today my fridge and washer and dryer come.

Good morning. Sunny and bright. Had rain last night, but not enough to warrant the flood watch they issued. The humidity is gone and the temp will be mid to upper 70's today. I may do yardwork later today or after dinner. I may even paint the porch swing after the sun moves around to the back. Nothing new going on around here. My friend in FL texted me last night that the rain had started but they hadn't had winds yet. Her 95 year old mother lives with them, and she fell and broke her kneecap on Sunday, so they are hoping that they wouldn't have to evacuate.

@Snowysmom It sounds like things are starting to move smoothly for you regarding the move.

Good morning!

Ran some errands yesterday after work. Had to stop at the bank and then stopped at TJMaxx to return a shirt. Ended up buying a different shirt, sheets, and of course clothes for Mia. I'm debating on a Halloween candy/cookie jar that i saw. One is a Mickey Mouse shaped pumpkin and the other is a Mickey Mouse ghost . They're both really cute but I bought Halloween decorations from there the other week and since I haven't put them out yet, I forgot what all I bought. I don't want to have too many ghosts and I have a lot of pumpkin decorations (hence the reason why I felt I needed to update my decorations) but I'm not putting all of those out this year. I'll go through the bag today when I get home and see what I have. They were both so cute. Mia and I will stop there tomorrow after I pick her up and get the one that I decide on.

Stopped at Chic-fil-a and grabbed dinner after my shopping trip. I'm starting to get a little addicted to this. I've been getting the kale bowl with a side of grilled chicken nuggets. Very good and diet friendly.

Tonight I have to go to a layout for a friend of my cousin's. Kind of a long story so we'll just leave it at that. She passed away last week from cancer . I'm meeting my other sisters there, I hate to go to these types of things by myself.

Since I'll have Mia tomorrow after work and tomorrow night is garbage night, I'm thinking it will be best to get everything done tonight (clean litter boxes, backyard, take garbage out ). I have no idea what I'm making for dinner, maybe I'll eat the seafood salad that I already have or I probably should make the salmon and veggies that are in the freezer. We'll see, might just be a bowl of cereal.

Well I actually have a little project to do at work so I'm going to get started on that. Have a great day!

@Snowysmom, your place is shaping up! Exciting time, but I know it’s bittersweet. I know someone whose dog also had a little tumor in his mouth, and now another dog in that household has the same thing. It makes you wonder why they’re getting these things - is it something they’re eating, or touching? I hope the dog is ok.

@footballmouse I love hearing you talk about Mia! I have another great niece coming this fall. She will be the first on “my” side, so that will be fun. (I have a grand niece and nephew on DH’s side that I get to see a fair amount!) I want to buy something for my niece for her, any ideas what might be good? She is out of state so it will likely be something I send. I’ve asked about a registry and just waiting to hear.

@flyingdumbo127 I’m glad your XRay went well and hoping to hear good results.

I met a lovely patient this week, we had a lot in common. If anyone has prayers to spare, please keep her in mind.

DD is still unwell, but working to get better. If I had to guess, I’d say she had Covid a week or so ago, but tests were negative, so idk if it could‘ve been a different strain, or what. She was sick then, though, got a little better, then wound up with this pneumonia type thing. She’s got the same buildup of gunk in her head and lungs that I had when I had Covid, and has to work hard at getting it out. Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers.

I’m a little pooped out after my shifts this week but I have a lot to do. I was sleeping when Grady woke me up tonight by pawing me to go out. Hopefully I can get back to sleep!
