Good morning.:sunny:

Just a quick and earlier hello. I worked all weekend so nothing exciting to comment about. Clocked in early today so I can get a couple of hours in, then I'm off to my doctor for a check-up and some labs drawn. 🩸

Taz - so sorry.😪

Snowysmom - glad your son and his family had fun at Disney. It's always the best when there's low crowds. Did they do a Halloween party night at all? I'd like to go back in the fall and do a party night.🎃

Have a great day!

@tazdev3225 :( About Link. It really is the best gift of love you can give him now. Let him go in peace.

Good morning. Rained overnight, calling for a chance of storms today, but temps in the low 70s. It feels like the change of seasons has started. The garden is starting to look pretty sad. Still quite a few tomato's, but I just picked what I think might be the last of the beans. We bought a portable Coleman grill on Saturday.

I put it together and it has a defective piece. I called Coleman and they said they don't have a replacement part and will send us a whole new grill? Geez.

Darryl called and can't come today, but he'll be here tomorrow morning to finish the porch. Just waiting for Dave to call me and tell me how many matching live edge boards he has in the saw mill so he can put up the shelves.

Have a nice day all

Good morning everyone, hope you are well. I think it's been about a week since I last checked in. Sorry - only went back a page, so I may have missed a bit.

Home now from the work trip to Lake Tahoe. Whew - beautiful out there! Unfortunately no direct flights out of PHL or BWI, but we made do. Home by 6:30 Friday evening. Pups glad to have us home. Got a fair bit of needed yard work done over the weekend. Noticed that with the slight change of weather that has started as we head towards fall our grass is picking up steam in terms of growth! I think the areas we usually only mow every other week will now go on the weekly rotation, plus we have a 2 acre parcel we usually only bush hog but we decided to start mowing it since it may go up for sale, so we want it to look more presentable. Picked up 15 additional grasses (decorative, those big ones) 2 scotch broom to replace a the two we lost. Plus we have about 15 +/- trees to plant this coming weekend, so we will be a bit busy with that one day. Considering renting a tree spade to move a few other trees - we'll see. As usual, the late summer & fall are going to be super busy for us. Harvest this year looks to be late Sept. but we will see how it goes, and how the weather cooperates! Looks like lovely week weather-wise around here this week for the most part, cooler. A bit of rain maybe. Hotter this coming holiday weekend. Husband will be doing a lot of crabbing over the next 2 months, so I need to get my head around picking a lot of crabs!

I don't really post in this thread but just for fun I clicked on it tonight. Quite a few recognizable names that I'm really fond of.
Welcome!
DS’s neurology appt went well.
Glad to hear that, I'm sure he's happy to have the behind him.
Do any of you order from Current Catalog?
I don't - but I do get the catalogs on occasion. Unfortunately I tossed my most recent one prior to reading your post. Sorry. Have you tired any of those sites that post discount codes, you might find something there.
I will give them a call first thing Tuesday morning to God willing set up my Xray for early Wednesday morning.
Hope they can get you in asap.
I'm in the middle of putting together a new gas grill, so I've got to keep going before I get tired of doing it, lol.
Hey! They have people for that:rolleyes:! We have a family reunion up in your neck of the woods later in Sept. I think my husband is going, but I'm not sure I am. Of course, it can be worth it for the pleasant weather & beautiful scenery but I'm thinking I may skip it this year. We'll see -
Dad is not getting surgery now. He was off blood thinners for too long a period of time and the cardiologists wanted him back on asap. He needs to see a urologist. The hospital recommends where he had his cancer surgery.
Keeping him in my thoughts, hope the Dr.'s can get him in a place were the surgery can take place.
Sadly the time has come to say good-bye to Link.
Never a easy time, hope they find some peace in the fact that they are ending his suffering.

Welp, back to work for me. I've got to deal with a OSHA visit to one of our sites, and one of our subs electrocuting himself (he'll be fine - direct result of complacency I'm afraid) and Big Chicken having a cow over this whole matter. Plus my computer is not responding to some updates the IT folks are trying to get completed. I'm glad it's going to be a long holiday weekend coming up!

Same experience as me with Coleman. Back when we were camping, I bought a Coleman Kitchen. It arrived with several scratches but otherwise was perfectly usable. They asked for pictures. I expected a return and send me a new one. They sent a new one and told me to keep the old one.

This year I gave the new one to Son and family. The old one is still in my storage closet and I only used it once or twice as we didn't camp very often.

At some point I also bought the gazebo shelter. The top disintegrated in the sun. I probably could have returned that but didn't. It wasn't waterproof - my reason for erecting it to begin with, so I just got a different shelter.

Oh, and I also had a Coleman Roadtrip grill. Mine was nice and I used it on trips a few times. Eventually it was just taking up space so I cast it to the curb. A neighbor knocked and asked could they have it. Yes, of course and now I had to go find all the parts I didn't bother tossing. This guy was so happy! The only grill I truly loved was my red charcoal grill from Weber. It's still usable but has a few defects. I keep watching their site each year for a red one. The year I saw it I didn't jump on it quick enough and it disappeared. This year they have green, yellow, blue and black but no more red. Maybe next year.

Birthday party yesterday for my youngest grandchild. She turned 1 on Friday. My daughter in law did an awesome job! She created most of the decor, plus baked cupcakes and made a delicious icing for them. The theme was Sesame Street with Elmo and Cookie Monster taking center stage mostly. I should mention we also had a delicious catered lunch.

I'd love to post pics but my son and dil don't want her on the internet. She's walking very well now, actually running. She handled her birthday very well. I was expecting her to get overwhelmed but she didn't. Other kids were her 3 cousins, my other two grands and her mother's niece. Ages 7, 6, 3, 1. The rest of the guests were us grandparents and the aunts and uncles. My EX and wife were on video for some of it, so no one was left out.

And, I'm babysitting rabbits for a few days. Not at my house but going to their home twice a day to feed and exercise them. They are pretty cute, but I'm not likely to run out and get some for us. I'll settle for just visiting. I've had rabbits when I was a kid and I do like them, but as my pets move on, it's my intention not to get any new ones.

Good morning.

The hits keep coming, If you could keep my grandson Anthony in your prayers. He has a lump in his neck and needs to go for some tests. I'm sure it's nothing but they are checking his thyroid so it is worrisome.

Link made the decision for us and passed away in his sleep. My poor granddaughter found him this morning. I am a bit glad that he passed away peacefully in his own home but my daughters family is devastated. There are no words I can say to ease their pain even though I do understand it having been in that position may times. Their other dog keeps nudging Link and is upset by this too. People without pets don't get that dogs feel the loss as much as we do.

Add to it all my mom is sick. I can't wait for my vacation to Disney World in October.

This one is the Coleman Roadtrip Excursion. I got a great deal on it. Our old gas grill is starting to show it's age. It's just the 2 of us, and we don't grill as much anymore, so this portable one is ideal for what we need it for.

Just a quick hello, back to work again.

Sending prayers for taz’s family between Link and Anthony! That happened with my last German Shepherd, too - she passed away unexpectedly at home as we were thinking about bringing her in. Always hard.

I hope I didn’t miss anything else but if I did, I’m praying for all of us anyway!

I hope everyone has a good week! 🐥

Taz Prayers for Anthony and Link. I hope your father is comfortable while he is in the hospital. That must be difficult not knowing what is going to go on.

Cable and internet are in at the condo. I was able to get my laptop onto the network which for me is quite an accomplishment. I am a technoidiot. Kenny is in charge of the rest.

🐥❤️💯++++++++++ you get the idea all-around dear Quacker Family extra to Taz! I have read all of your updates and as always thank you all for them and keeping us a family :) Tomorrow morning first thing, I will call the X Ray place. Thank you for all your extra prayers and love. I am hoping they will have a Wednesday opening. Dad and I did go out a bit this morning. Target didn't even have our wipes. We will try another Target later in the week. We did fantastic though at Ralph's with saving money. Boost had given us a credit which as dad said was only 20 cents more than we were owed but we thankfully took it! Anyway, we didn't need more Ultra Soft Kleenex--we buy the flat 120 count boxes. To Kirby and Footballmouse along with any other Quackers who have Ralph's or Kroger out there, when you buy 2, 6 packs they are only $4.99 each! :cheer2:Huge bargain! We also at a second Ralph's as first Ralph's didn't have my preferred Kroger Brand🍞 found a nice surprise of popsicle print seasonal napkins for only 35 cents on clearance for each package of 20. We got two. Fun to use :)

Dad will shortly be calling Instacart! I will update later.

Have a good rest of the afternoon! :grouphug:

Sweet Dreams thread save with love always. Dad did have a long call with Instacart. They weren't able to tell him anything specific other than ask whether he would like yesterday's shopper removed from future orders for us. He said yes. We feel badly about doing that. We just don't yet know what happened and are trying again with Boost tomorrow, we thought that might not be a bad idea. Prayers tomorrow's Boost order truly does come to us! Have a good night sweet friends.

Good morning.:flower:

Supposed to be beautifull all week. We could use some rain but I'll take no rain on the weekend.:sunny:

Got home from work and just cleaned up around the house and fed the birds and fish.🐠🐦

Went to the doctor yesterday morning for an annual check-up and some lab work. Didn't have many concerns, she did recommend taking 4 Advil before I go somewhere that includes a lot of standing and walking. I can't make it through the grocery store or just browsing through Target without getting severe back pain 😵‍💫. Hopefully this will help.

Snowysmom - good job on setting up the computer, that would be a huge accomplishment for me also.👏

That's it for me, have a great day!

Good morning. Humid and cloudy outside. Calling for a chance of rain/storms this afternoon, but it sure looks like it's going to do it very soon. Darryl called and he's waiting for Dave to give him a ride so he can get the porch railing painted. He can't get my name straight. He's called me Leann, Leanna, Anna, etc. How hard is Lynn? lol!
I just took the trash out and folded the last load of laundry. I'm going to sit and work on some writing today, I've let it sit far too long.

@Snowysmom Yeah to cable and internet being hooked up. I never heard the term technoidiot before but I love it. Made me laugh!

Have a great day everyone
