Good morning! Today Gus woke up and began looking for leaves to eat, so, I know his stomach is not quite right. I offered him a plant that he can have, and he ignored it, so I will be keep checking how he is. He has been on liver meds for maybe three months, and this has happened a few times in the morning.

Thank you all so much for your continuing extra prayers, support, encouragement for my getting out a bit. We did go to CVS and 99 this afternoon. Good trip. We both agreed no more afternoon outings. Dad, as I shared earlier, I never like when he goes out twice in one day. that he is staying completely home tomorrow.

Don's younger son is in town for his high school reunion, so we'll get to spend some time with him today before the event.
Off to get the bed stripped, decide on something for dinner, and clean the bathrooms.

Lynn, I guess I was just wanting the painter to finally be done! EventuallyEnjoy visiting with Don's younger son. I hope he has a safe and fun time at his reunion.

Snowysmom, so much, my friend. Stores aren't the same that's for sure. However, neither is my need for them--huge positive thank God! I do miss quality of clothing for sure that really did seem so much better pre pandemic. It would also be nice if there were a bit of new changeover in merchandise and of course most of all, lower/consistent pricing! It's simply a blessing and joy for me to slowly be able to help my dad again even a tiny bit. Also another step forward toward one day God willing my being able to check out new church options and dad and I perhaps being able to experience some new/old places together again too such as taking the Dodger Stadium tour or checking out a Christmas themed train ride. Big hugs to dear you always with sincere prayers your trip brings you in some way added peace, fun, and JOY.

I was at Wegman's and bought another snack. At least it was unsalted pretzels. My snack bags do look like a child ran wild in the store. I am hoping we get an early check in tomorrow. I have to message the manager around 7 to see if it is possible. It would be nice to get there early afternoon, settle in, and the guys can do some grocery shopping. Cookout tomorrow night.

Connie is fair today. Will most likely be in hospital another night. The more they had to scrape has meant a harder recovery. Originally they had told her she would be going home same day. She’s not up to talking, so when there’s more I hear from Rom I’ll let you know.

My Yorkie will occasionally eat some grass. Then he throws it up.

I went out there and braved the tall grass and got some mowing done. The front is still a mess. Until I get to it, I'm going to tell people I'm going for the new natural look.

Good morning, all!

Nothing really to report this early. Yesterday, we took some donations over to the Lodge for the upcoming flea market. There seemed to be quite a bit of stuff piling up, so that was encouraging.

Good morning. It is sunny again today. Getting last minute things done for the trip. Reiki was interesting yesterday. I did relax a bit. She also does a bit of hypnotherapy as a side thing. It is about finding your happy place and being able to go back to it when you need to by doing a small unoticeable movement with 2 fingers. I have to practice that. My happy place is Main St in MK looking at the castle, walking down the street, hearing all the sounds, and just being there.

I hope to check in now and then. Have a good Sunday and a good week.

Another wonderful morning, sunny and low temps. It's already 79 but better than 90. We should hit about 85 today.

Grandchild milestone - Quinn is walking at 10 and 1/2 months! My three were all walking by 11 months so I was expecting it.

Cat issues this morning were had to clean my bedcover.
Dog issue - DD thought he was dying but I knew better. He's starting to have some pain trying to get going in the morning, so he will yelp as if he is in extreme pain. He will be unsteady on his feet and lie back down with his head on his paws. Then, I open the door to let him out and he'll shoot through the door, do some business and back he comes wanting breakfast, all happy and ready to eat you depending on his mood. Before he comes back in, he will go around to the side deck and bark at KittyKitty who ignores him because he can't get through my 'fence' I put up temporarily to keep him away from KittyKitty when he's there.

DD issues. She's getting bites in her room. I think it's mosquitos getting in as we have a window ac up there to supplement the main ac as it's a cape cod style home with ductwork added after the fact. Later I will go up there and see if there are any gaps. All the rain means mosquitos and I haven't sprayed yet. Maybe later today. No bites on me and I've been up there in daylight. They tend to take advantage after dark. Meanwhile she slept on the sofa 2 nights ago and in the other downstairs room last night.

Checked kitties and they are clean and of course are treated.

I haven't ruled out spiders but I don't think so. It is Maryland after all.

Good sunny Sunday morning. Temps start climbing again today. No rain in sight according to the forecast through the end of the month. Garden was dry this morning and I had to turn the sprinklers on.

With all the rain we had, surprisingly I haven't seen any mosquitoes.

Luke was here for about an hour yesterday afternoon. He was really tired. They had a get together at a bar downtown Friday night and he didn't get to the hotel until 2 am. Yesterday around noon, they had a get together at Rocky Gap, and last night they had the dinner at the Country Club. Today he's going golfing with Skylar (Summer's oldest son), and then stopping here on his way back out of town. He was so tired, that when he got here, he looked at the ramp like he hadn't seen it before. He had seen it when he was up with Ben a couple of weeks ago, lol. He didn't even remember.

No plans for the day. Just made some rub for baby back ribs for dinner tonight, and put them in the fridge wrapped in foil.
