Kirby…. I can’t imagine how you feel about the remediation, I am so angry and I‘m not the mother. You can only hope that this will not bode well for him in the end.

Snowysmom… many prayers for peace. I wish I didn’t know exactly how you feel. Before losing Kris, I thought I had a pretty good understanding of grief, but I was not even close. All you can do is go with your gut.

lynn… Reno is very stressful, I hope it is over soon for you. How has Don been feeling?

Mona…. Hope you get that appointment sooner rather than later

i have had a headache and muscle aches all day. I really believe it is just stress but I’ll test tomorrow if not feeling better.

@flyingdumbo127 I am sure all will go well when you see your dentist. The people at the office sound like kind and caring people. I love the picture of Champ. He was a lovely dog.

@dazedx3 I hope you feel better. It does sound like stress and anxiety but it never hurts to check it out. What I found out going through this journey is that no one really knows what it is like to lose your beloved spouse except those going through it. It is like nothing else whether a sudden loss or a loss after a long illness.

@footballmouse I hope your work hours can be negotiated with the new boss. Would she be understanding of why you want to keep the same hours and how it would affect you to change?

Good morning. It is raining heavily here right now with snow expected in the early afternoon. I am waiting to see if I can make my appt as the timing is right around the time we are expecting heavy snow. I am trying not to worry about it as I can't do anything about the weather. I will not risk driving in heavy snow.

Off to work. I am finding it hard this week to get motivated to do anything including work.

Have a good day.

Good Tuesday morning.:cold:

Had dinner with Mitchell and his girlfriend last night. It was her birthday so they were going to get Mexican and invited me along. I also took Mia with me. Bailey's bosses were in town and took her and Evan to dinner so Mia came with me.

I decided to start my new schedule next week. I have the final visit for a product study that I've been doing on Thursday and I realized that our new boss is at a conference all week so there's no point in me working those dumb hours if she isn't going to be there.
Would she be understanding of why you want to keep the same hours and how it would affect you to change?
I doubt it. I just don't get that kind of vibe from her. She's already sent a couple of emails about things that made me think that, it's just the tone she uses.

Kirby - wow, what a mess your dd's ex has been causing. He is past the point of being childish and now he's just being something I'm probably not allowed to type on here. Tell her to hang in there, karma will come around and get him.

Have a great day!

Good morning. We have sun, blue skies, and white clouds. It's cold, and we have high wind warnings, but no sign of snow. No idea where they came up with the 5-6" forecast. I am hoping there's none to the west of us. I haven't gotten a phone call saying he had to go out and plow, so keeping fingers X'd.

As I expected, I had a hard time falling asleep, and once I was I didn't stay asleep. Too many 'what if's' going on in my brain.

Going to try and get the kitchen swept and rugs shaken out, and put a load of laundry in in case he gets here early.

Have a nice morning

Good morning...

Cool pic today!

Sorry you didn't sleep well. I did OK from about 10:00 until about 3:30, then the wind kicked in and woke me up. I slept in bits after that, and feel fine now, but it will probably hit me later. I hope you get a nap in!!

I made quiche this morning (It's sort of pie, right?) and am "fluffing" laundry that was dried on the rack.

Good morning. I

@Kirby - sorry your daughter is having such a hard time with her ex. I hope it gets resolved soon.

t was a little weird waking up to total darkness this morning. I hate the time changes. Got the boys to school and sat down to my coffee when my granddaughter called. She was having some weird phone issues so texted that she needed help. She forgot an assignment for her Biology class at home and didn't have time to go home and get it. She did have time for me to drive to school, pick her up and take her home to get it though. I will never understand the logic but I did it.

Jim is at his monthly breakfast with his former co-workers. Thankfully we live on the way for one or two so he was picked up and I didn't have to go. I use the time to do a monthly deeper cleaning of the house. I get it done faster with him gone as he isn't underfoot. I also really don't enjoy the breakfasts that much as some of his co-workers are very opinionated and can be quite annoying.

We had some snow this morning, but it was more like flurries. Weird sight as we have had no measurable snow this winter. I'm not complaining as I have to deal with it, shoveling and driving, and I don't enjoy it as much as I did when I was younger. Not much on the schedule here. I need to pick up the boys and go grocery shopping after that.

Back to memory card matching again. I may get the hard drive straightened out one day.

Hope you all have a good day.

Happy Tuesday and Good Morning :grouphug:to all,

🌧️looks as though it could come any second. I'm thankful dad is staying home. Perfect day to be stiller, extra appreciative of smaller moments and bake some 🍪that dad will share most of on, too. I give thanks to God, I pray, in all.

Thank you dear, Snowysmom. Champ sure infused joy in my life that is for sure. Dr. E's receptionist possibly could be my young daughter almost, although I believe she has two kids, one of which is older than the other. I'm not the best person at guessing someone's age at all. A is a kind lady for sure and despite some reservations about Dr. E, he has absolutely given me quality and accomodating care, too. I appreciate them both. Please don't 🚗in heavy ❄️As always, thank you also for your heartfelt and caring post:hug:

:bday:belatedly to Mitchell's girlfriend, Footballmouse. :cheer2:for being able to celebrate together, that is a blessing for sure as is always time with precious Mia! Continuing work schedule prayers for you:hug:

🙏Lynn for calm and rest for you! I hope you did at least treat yourself last night to a warm 🛀and take the time to do so again today. Be still, dear friend, and know you are never alone, God is with you. Your Quacker family with love is, too!

PollyannaMom, 🛌prayers for you as well! Dad enjoys quiche. He said a couple days ago that he will be baking one again sometime. Enjoy yours and may it help bring you extra warmth, too.

Welcome, Tink-osophy! Blessing to find a morning post from you. This is indeed the thread I referred to in the gratitude thread, started by our own dear PollyannaMom. Thank you for becoming part of our close knit Quacker, as we call ourselves, family. Please post any time :)

Taz  not sure quite whether to "like" your post. Did so because it's good to hear Jim is getting out with friends of his which also gifts you some quieter time for yourself which dear you certainly needs more of. You already know, I'm not a fan of any time change and am with you and everyone else on that! Teens and young adult minds often do have more scattered or unique to their age logic, don't they? May you always know what a loving difference you continue to make to all people young and old in your life. You sure do! 🖥️and 🖼️prayers.

Be cozy, please always stay safe, and know Ibappreciate each of you always. Have a good day, friends. I'll check in later.

It's very cold and wintry looking outside despite the sunshine. A few snow flurries flying around. Dave showed up as promised and all spackling is done. Tomorrow is sanding and painting day. We measured for all the trim and he's going to pick that up tomorrow and bring his painting supplies. He's hoping by the weekend it will be a finished bathroom! When he left here he was going to help a lady move a washer and dryer, and then help a friend put down some flooring. He never stops!

I feel better now that we are making progress again.

I agree with you! And Kirby - if it helps I can't help but think this will reflect very badly on your ex son in law in the eyes of the court! Hopefully that will help your daughters case.

I'm sorry your schedule is being rearranged...that is difficult, especially when you have your days down to a science. I was thinking - if you do have to work those hours on Friday afternoon's now, won't that help alleviate the missed income from the testing gig? I hope so.
Tell her to hang in there, karma will come around and get him.
This 110%!!!!

I was up and out the door by 4:50 this morning and it was dark almost my whole drive down to Southern DE. I got there around 6:45 and yawn...all I could do is day dream about going to bed early! When I came out of my meeting the sun was shining. I then had another meeting starting at 8:30 and when I came out of there it was snowing. Snowed to the point where it was starting to lay on folks yards as I drove back to the office...but ceased after about a hour. Then sun came back out. Well, at least I got a bit of snow so-to-speak! But it is windy, and cold cold cold outside.
Hi Everyone!

I'm going to read a bit to get in the swing.
Hi - welcome to the thread!

Well good afternoon everyone. As I mentioned I was up and showered & dressed and out the door around 4:50 this morning. yawnyawnyawn. Always gives me new appreciation for our employees working outside at early hours in the cold (or hot) weather. Had a 7 AM meeting with all employees on site as well as all subs, and then a 8:30 progress meeting with the super & owners reps. Stopped at home on my way back, plopped a pork roast in the crock pot, let the pups out, grabbed some lunch for myself and my husband and was back in the office by 11 am. I've got 9 employees I've got to see off to a convention in Las Vegas at 3 PM, including one who has never flown before - he's chill, and one who has flown before who is so uptight I'd give him a valium IV if I could get my hands on one. I'm so glad I handed this babysitting chore over to my brother this week and am staying home vs. dealing with this guy.

I'm still day dreaming about going to sleep. I am super tired for some reason, but I'll rally. My husband was supposed to go up to Lynn's neck of the woods to help his uncle & cousin on their farm but there is still snow on the ground and some more forecasted for this weekend. They were going to be working on re-posting the farm so they decided to postpone, so he will be home after all. Maybe we will get into something this weekend? A movie or a hike somewhere. We do also have 6 cherry trees to plant as well.

Puppy puzzle picture to bring all of you an afternoon extra smile:dogdance:Dad and I did it earlier this morning which was perfect extra rainy day fun thing to do.

Lynn, Dave takes after you in terms of always being on the go. 🙏you are finally, finally resting!

Easyas, yikes to such an early morning hour! Please do go to🛏️early tonight.

Wishing all of you a good rest of the day :)

Good morning. Yesterday was an interesting day weather wise. Pouring wind driven rain changed to heavy snow then to lighter snow. Not much accumulation but enough that I rescheduled by mammogram to June. I did not want to drive or walk on slippery surfaces. No snow in June I assume. Today is supposed to be in the 40s and sunny. The snow won't last long.

My DDIL is going to help me tomorrow to choose the countertops, cabinet hardware, paint color, and rug color. She has a good eye for decorating. I will get to see the grandkids too so it is a win win for me. Then Friday I can go to the condo office and give them my choices. I have Friday off so I will travel to Kenny's area for a bit. I won't see him as he works but I can drop off some more stuff at his house.

Time to work. Have a good day.

Happy Wednesday!

Getting up into the 40's today, still cold.:cold:

Evan had an early game last night so I went to that ⚽. Mia and I accounted for the team's cheering section :cheer2:. This was a guy's only team so it was a much faster pace and a little more rougher, which the ref allowed. These type of games are what I'm used to. Tonight's team is co-ed so the ref doesn't allow for pushing or arms getting in the way.

Didn't do much else, didn't bother to eat dinner.

Snowysmom - good choice to cancel the appointment. I don't like driving in the snow anymore and it's not that I'm scared, I don't trust the other drivers.

Have a great day!

Good morning. Blustery and cold when I walked Chewie this morning. My ears were frozen in the 5 minutes it took for the walk. Anthony has a scrimmage game today but I told him I will be there in spirit but I can't deal with the cold. That and it's an away game and 30 miles away. He is on the JV squad for now which is probably a good thing. He is only a freshman and he hasn't played baseball for over a year while recovering from the ACL injury.

Nothing on the agenda today although I do need to drop something off to my mom. While grocery shopping yesterday I found Sure-Jel marked down to $2. I called her and she was thrilled. My mom should have been born on a farm. She cans her own jellies and Sure-Jel is needed to set the jellies. She wanted 6 boxes and this saved her about $20. I also have some frozen crab cakes I am giving her. Since I am now allergic and my dad and brother love them I will give them to her.

I agree with this. I almost got hit yesterday while sitting at a red light. I was making a right hand turn but there was traffic. The person behind me didn't want to wait and went around me, never slowed down and went through the red light narrowly missing the car that was coming. If they had collided, one of them would have gone into my car based on the angles.

Hope you all have a good day and no weather problems. I can't wait for some warmer weather.
