Good - what is it, evening? Night? I’m confused, lol.
@footballmouse I was so sorry to read that you have to deal with a flood on your days off.

Ugh. So glad your sons are there to help you, and I hope you can still get a little R&R to renew. Mia therapy will help, no doubt.

How did your doggie guest do all week? He must’ve been happy to be picked up.
I was just thinking that boy, we really have some nice kids among us, don’t we? So many help out, and stay close, which is great to see. Good upbringing!
Lynn, I hope you got your sink unclogged. Our garbage disposal backs up sometimes if we overload it, so we have to be careful. I try to run hot water down there for a few minutes every few days just to keep the pipes flowing in case there’s any grease, etc.
Well, tonight being Friday night, we were all home and all exhausted. Dogs were happy we were all home. Super cold out here (21 degrees right now). DS and DH decided they wanted to grill steaks so they went off to the grocery store to get some. My only request was butternut squash. DD doesn’t enjoy beef so DH grilled her some boneless pork. My steak was a little underdone so I had some pork instead, and it was good. (I’ll reheat the steak later and then it will be done right; I like it Medium.)
So the funny parts. DD and I thought we smelled something funny. Turns out the Brussels sprouts were a little off/old, apparently. DS had cooked them and was proud of himself, so he was a little miffed when we started giggling a bit once we started eating. But then he tasted them and started laughing too. Then when we went to take some asparagus, I thought it seemed a little hard but didn’t say anything. Turns out DH had forgotten to turn them on on the stove, so they weren’t cooked! Lmao! I told you we were tired!

So a bit of a bust but at least we had some laughs. Got the pic before we realized. (Only thing I actually ate here was the squash! And it was good! We all have to laugh at ourselves sometimes, right?)
@easyas123 Did you ever end up satisfying your sweet tooth? I was going to say, I hardly ever eat cereal, and when I do, I try to eat stuff that’s not super sweet, but DS likes the sweet stuff, so I keep it on hand. That’s why I was eating the chocolate Frosted Flakes (which I don’t think I’ve bought before, but I was in an off brand store and they had some at a good price). We still have all our Valentine’s stuff around but I’m trying not to eat it much. I wish people wouldn’t buy me candy. I love it, of course, but I shouldn’t eat it. One now and then is ok, though. I made a dump cake to bring into work yesterday and I was a little disappointed, it was just ok. I was trying to cut down on the butter so used Sprite instead, and halved the butter, but I didn’t like the way it came out. Next time I’ll do it the regular way.
Mona I was just going to ask you about your TMJ and how it affects you. It sounds like it really is a big deal for you. I hope you are able to find relief, but it sounds like you’ve learned to live with it.
I hope everyone has a nice Saturday!

I’m not planning to go out in the cold much, but I have plenty to do around the house. I might wind up putting a new bedspread on my bed. Current one is a bit long in the tooth, and there’s now a hole in it from the dogs (and DH teases me, from my toes, probably true). I bought the new one so long ago I don’t remember what it looks like, but I know I liked it when I bought it. Wish me luck.
