Quality Inn & Suites or Anaheim Plaza?

I am making a quick solo trip to DL later this month. I will only be staying 2 nights. Amenities are not that important to me. I just need a clean room in a safe location close to the gate. Both of these hotels are budget priced and about the same distance. Any opinions?

Thanks!

I have stayed ant the Quality Inn and it is a nice budget motel. I have stayed there about 4 times. 3 of the times, one of those being recently, our stay was great. One time, we got sort an older room that was in need of renovation. It seems that all of the rooms have gotten the renovations now.

It is an ok walk, just a touch longer than the Hojo. Parking is free and fine. The hotel staff have always been nice. The breakfast is decent, especially for the price (free). They have the regular continental stuff and make them yourself waffles! The rooms are clean, nice and small.

If you just want a place to crash and then go to the park for cheap, this place is perfect. If you are going with your whole crew for a week, I would choose something different. I live within two hours, so I just need a place to crash so we can cram two days in or stay late to watch fireworks or Fantasmic.

I'll chime in with a 3rd option, the HoJo Anaheim. Lots of info on that property listed here on the Dis. It was cheaper for us to stay there (with the Mousesavers/Mice Chat) discount than at the Quality Inn. It's seems about a 1/2 block closer to the park than QI too!

The QI scared me from a noise standpoint because if you have a decent arm, you can hit Interstate 5 with an orange from that property.

The HoJo was actually my first choice, but it is still about $30 more per night.

We spent a couple nights at the Anaheim Plaza last Sept. ~ it was fine, I'd stay there again. HoJo could always add the ent rate at the last min. so just keep an eye on their site or call in (I believe their cancellation policy is 2 days before your 1st or only night), some other hotel/motels cancellation policy is the day of your 1st night ~ I have Motel 6 booked for the 4th of July weekend ~ as long as I cancel by 6pm PST our 1st night I'm good.

QI is kind of off the beaten path. You have to go all the way around Fairfield Inn because there is a wall separating the 2 properties so you can't cut through FFI to get to QI. You'd be walking past Hojos and FFI, and behind FFI before you get to QI. Between the two, I would go with AP for a solo trip. At least it's on the main road. (Harbor Blvd) QI is on Manchester which is the road that runs between Hojo and FFI, and again, behind FFI.
Have fun!

Good point. I couldn't really tell looking at a map how the properties were separated. Thanks.
