Quality Inn International--info needed??

We are doing a quick trip to Universal Studios for 4 days in Oct. and got a deal at Quality Inn International--this is the one at 7600 International Dr.(not Quality Inn Plaza) for $29/night. Since we are already paying a great deal for flights we decided to save some money on the rooms, figuring we won't be in them much anyway. I was wondering if anyone has stayed there recently that could give us a recent review. Also any help with regard to where the best rooms are located would be great as we are arrriving late at night and won't want to be bothered changing rooms so late at night.

We were there in October last year. It is what it is - a budget motel but it is fine.

I would request a room in the 3000 building as it was fairly recently renovated and has nicer rooms than some of the other blocks. We didn't like the first room we were allocated and asked to be moved.

The staff at Reception were very unfriendly and quite surly, but not a problem. They were efficient.

House-keeping was good and they sorted out a problem we had really quickly. The room was cleaned every day and was spotless.

The keys were a bit of a pain as they stopped working intermittently and we had to get them changed a few times.

We didn't eat at the place so no idea what the food is like.

We would stay here again

Thanks for the info. Is the 3000 block near the pool or courtyard? From what I gather from reading older trip reports there is a larger tall building and then some that are only a couple of stories high, is that right? I have a bad back and can't do too much walking or climbing would the area you stated be okay for me? We're not expecting much for the price but I don't want anything dirty, so it sounds like the maids do a half decent job.
