QSDP review - No kids, no hamburgers and no chicken fingers

enjoying these reports & photos thanks

Thanks, it's a first for us using any dining plan. I always take pictures of the food anyway, my DH is almost trained to "style" the plates before he inhales the food.

Your pictures are great and I want one of your pretzels for breakfast right now!!!:rotfl:

I know you guys didn't have kids with you but did you happen to notice if there was a kids menu in Norway? That would make a great lunch or dinner spot for us on one of our Epcot days. We are doing Via Napoli for TS.

My DH could have had dinner every night at WPE. And yes all that food for 2 quick service credits plus 2 large cups of ice water (always ask for the ice water to drink or to refill your water container). Nothing was OOP. This trip I think my DH paid for one specialty water drink out of habit and he forgot we were on the QSDP. Only goes to show you what heat and humidity would do to you since he was almost obsessed that we were always behind using the snack credits.

Thanks for that
I knew you can get cups of iced water for free, i didnt think about using them to refill our container. :thumbsup2

I remember going to Norway at Epcot last time and thinking the food looked good but was too expensive. May just have to try it this time, if we can squeeze it in. great reviews :cool1:

There's another huge sweet pretzel that has chocolate drizzle on it. Wish we had gotten both to try. As for the kid's menu, they had PBJ as the only choice although don't know why they couldn't do a cheese or meat sandwich. My DH said that it seemed strange that they wouldn't have something else since there are lot more kids with nut allergies now. We're really sensitive to food allergies since our youngest DD has a wheat/gluten allergy. Norway would have been torture for her...all that pastry and she wouldn't have been able to eat any of it.

Thanks for that

OOP my sandwich the Norwegian club would be $7.49 and my DH's roast beef sandwich was $7.19. I think the club could easily be shared and be plenty to eat for most folks. My DH and I are thinking that if we're not on the QSDP again, we will include Norway for lunch and split the sandwich and a pretzel for lunch. Plus it's a nice patio to hang out in if it's hot/humid.

now I have to add Norway to our CS plans. That sandwich looked huge and delicious!! My DBr is vacationing with me this year instead of semi-picky eater DD so I want to try CS places I couldn't with her. Thank you so much to all who are posting QSDP reports!!! :lovestruc

Can't tell you how many times we have walked past the bakery thinking that the prices would be too expensive. it's a must do for us now. Have you tried Tangierine Cafe? We didn't get to that one.

your photos and reviews are wonderful.....I almost think that this is a great show of the to go meals......these are the best......thanks so much for taking the time to post the photos and your reviews

I am amazed that WPE is considered counter service!? I was in there exactly once (10 years ago) and while I realize its informal dining, the prices of the food are more in line with some sit-down places. I'll have to give it another try. We are purchasing the dining plan for our upcoming stay since as DVC members we don't qualify for free dining...I want to get the most for my money.

Thanks for the photos!

I think secretly my DH wanted to try the meatloaf or roast chicken. So it was meatloaf this time and creme bulee which he insisted was for me.:rotfl:
The waiter brought bread along with the meatloaf.

I swear you stole my photo! I took the exact same shot! :lmao:

Wgpe is my fave cs out of the parks I pray it stays cs! Lol! I loved ur cs reviews and love even more there was no burgers or chicken nuggets!! Thank you!!

Norway is one of our favorite places and one I would even pay OP for and believe me there are few of those. The sandwiches are so big that even my carnivorous husband and I can share a meal. I cannot believe you have not heard me sing its praises Pooch.:cool1:

Germany used to be a hidden gem when it came to TS places as it was only about $14 to eat there but that is before the characters.

If you go to Tangierine you can easily share a platter. Make sure you plan it for when Morockin is playing and you get great entertainment as well.

WPE is a great find for us. It is a little pricey OOP but the food is great. I told my DH that we should try QSDP again and not eat burgers, chicken fingers, and sandwiches. Already to go again.

This was our first go at any dining plan. I have to admit I lurked on these review pages looking at food porn and reading other folks food adventures. After our brief taste of QSDP, my DH and I decided for our trips without family, we'll do it again. We can pay OOP for Ohana's, Boma's or Cape May Cafe. The QSDP was actually almost too much food for us eating at the restaurants recommended by the DIS dining vets. Our new finds in Norway and WPE were wonderful. And now we're looking forward to our next adults only trip.

A special thank you to DLR29 for starting the QSDP review trend, we wouldn't have given it a go without that review. :thumbsup2 Looking forward to all the other QSDP reviews coming up to look for new finds.

Thanks for the great review. It really got me excited about our upcoming trip. Norway looks great. The option of having a side salad or fruit for a side looks really good to me.
