We are staying at AoA. Each day, we are going to a park. On at least 2 days (if not more), we will go to the park and when we think DD4 has enough, will go back to the resort to nap/swim and relax. The days we will do this are when we go to DHS and Epcot. We *might* go back for Illuminations, but we're not sure.

We want to venture out and explore other resorts. I already want to make sure we stop at POFQ to get some beignets.

On the days we do not go back to the park, where do you suggest we go (resort) for a QS meal? I already have more than enough ADRs for TS restaurants, so I am not looking for TS suggestions. I am sure AoA is wonderful, but we also want to explore other places.

If it's the resorts you are primarily interested in then several of the deluxe resorts might fit the bill. These resorts all have qs places, although the selections available may not be as extensive as at the values: GF, Poly, CR, AKL (Jambo House), WL. Of all of these, I really encourage you to spend a little time at AKL. The public areas are great to walk around, and you can see the animals on the savannah from the outdoor viewing areas. Even at night (night vision binoculars). They also have storytellers to entertain the guests.

At Coronado Springs, the Pepper Market is a buffet at breakfast and lunch. We thought the breakfast was every bit as good or better than Crystal Palace, except that it's just a counter service.

Have fun on your trip.

I agree with visiting AKL. There is a lot to do for both children and adults. You'll be able to see the animals and explore a bit. They have great restaurants too - I love Boma!

Wander around WL. The lobby is amazing, but the QS is not. However whispering canyon cafe is great it is not QS but still lots of fun and good food.

AKL is a great place to explore and can entertain a 4 YO for quite a while.

I would add Port Orleans Riverside has one of the nicer food courts, and you can take the boat to DTD afterwards.

We like the POR Riverside food court. In particular the Make Your Own Pasta bar. It's a beautiful resort to stroll around, they have horse & carriage rides, and a boat to DTD, so you could take the boat to get a bus back to AoA.

Thanks everyone! I didn't even think about AKL, but it sounds perfect!!

Our favorite resort CS places are Captain Cooks at the Poly and Roaring Forks at the WL :). We love going to the different resorts to walk around and shop as all of the resorts are unique in their own way. It's also a nice way to spend some time when we want a break from the parks or are just in the mood to wander around taking in the Disney surroundings :goodvibes.

Not many deluxes have good CS places, I will say we were pleased with Capt Cooks when we went there. I would suggest the day you plan on going to POFQ that you eat at POR's FC and then take the boat to POFQ for your beinets. POR has a great pasta bar. We visited Riverside too for the pasta bar!

I will have to look into it more, but what kinds of sauces do they offer at the pasta bar? Despite being Sicilian and making my family's recipe, I can no longer eat it (severe heartburn). Do they offer an Alfredo sauce? I would probably get something else (non pasta) because Alfredo is not something I can eat a lot of, but I am sure DD would eat some as well.
