I'm taking my mom for her first trip to WDW and we're staying at ASMo because she wanted something simple and fun. My family and I have stayed here before, she saw our pictures and thought that was the place for us to stay on this trip. But with her doing her own research and reading, and her great love of animals, she's really excited about the Kilimanjaro Safari. My understanding is that the Sunrise Safari takes it's time and is much better than the regular trip you take during park hours. My understanding also is that the only way you can get this is to book a room on AKL's concierge level.
Finally to my question... Is it really worth it for one night to take advantage of the Sunrise Safari? Please share your experiences!
Thanks! :)

1) Lots of people book 1-night so they can do the Sunrise Safari & Breakfast.
2) People do talk highly of it.
3) Just make sure you coordinate well.
4) It is not offered every day, and is first-some for ressies.

In a word yes! I spent the extra money going Concierge level for this reason and it was worth it. Actually the meal at the end was really good too. I have a picture from the Sunrise Safari in this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1706430

If you could afford the jump from value to deluxe concierge resort for one night. And if you don't mind transfering resorts then it's well worth it.
The Safari is 45 minutes to an hour, given by Animal Programs C.M., not an attractions host. Many opportunities for great pictures and to ask questions to the knowledgable C.M.. Afterwards their is a tremendous breakfast buffet at Pizzafari. Other costs to factor in, requires park admission and Sunrise Safari current price $55 adults and $27.50, subject to change.

How different is the Wildlife Discovery Excursion from the Sunrise Safari? Again, please share your experiences!
Thanks! :goodvibes
