Q re room cost including resort and other fees

Hi there.

I was wondering what the total cost of a Disney Resort room includes?

What is the resort tax/fee (how much is it)?

Also how much is Fla tax on the room.

And are there other fees or taxes that are added on?

Thanks so much. This will help me figure out what the total cost of the room will be.

Taxes applied to your room rate totals 11.5% for most resorts, 13% for the All Star Resorts. There is also an additional charge, apparently, for more than 2 adults in a room.

That is one pleasant surprise in planning a trip to a Disney Resort versus a resort near Disney World. The resorts near DW add a resort fee of 8, 10, 15 dollars per day. Disney Resorts do not have that additional fee. It makes the cost to stay at a Disney Resort even more reasonable when you factor that fee in. Have a great time planning.

I also recall reading somewhere (book, other website, ?) that some off site hotels have a parking fee - another thing included in the WDW resort price. I can't find this information in my usual research sites so I may be remembering incorrectly (it might have been a DLR offsite hotel from planning a previous trip ).

I live in FL and a lot of resorts have resort fees of $10 up and valet parking fees of $18 or more a day with NO OPTION to self park!That is in addition to tax.
At the Disney Resorts the tax is between 11and 13%, NO resort fee and $6 a day valet parking and free self parking. Parking for free at the parks is just one of the many perks of staying onsite as well, but the bus system is really very good...
