Q on Renting & Disney VISA rewards

Can Disney Visa reward dollars be used towards the DDP when renting points thru a DVC owner? Does that part of the transaction occur between the person renting and Disney directly, or does it need to go through the DVC owner?

Only the DVC member can add a dining plan to a DVC reservation and it must be paid for at the time it is added. I see no reason that rewards dollars can't be used (Disney gift cards are allowed). You would have to give the DVC member the rewards card number and it would have to have enough on it to pay for the plan or you would also have to provide another form of payment to make up the difference.
