If I can do this I would like to get an AP. Here goes:

I would like to book a room in Feb 2009 with my AP. My friend does not have an AP. We would like to add the basic dining and my friend would just get her tickets separately...prob from AAA or UT. I called Disney and they said I could get a "ticketless room with dining". I don't believe it. Do you???? Anyone have experience with this?? Thanks so much!

Hi!

Yes, you can do this. Just book a room-only reservation with Disney and add the Dining Plan. It is possible because you will have an AP.
Then you can buy your friend's ticket at the gate, AAA, UT or elsewhere.

Funny story. I stopped in our local AAA to ask this question. The lady said I couldnt book 2009 rooms at Disney? I said, "Why not?" :confused3 And she said Disney hasn't come out with the 2009 prices yet. Thats when I knew the conversation was going no where. I did inform her that they came out yesterday. And she said, "They did??". This was the AAA "Disney expert" She then went on to tell me you couldn't get dining with the annual pass and that AP weren't worth it and I should just book two rooms now? I thanked her and left....:sad2:

Thank you so much for helping me! I just don't want an issue with dining when I go to sign up for the room. ;)
