We went to WWHOP again today to spend more time shopping. Got into Zonkos at 7:20am and they were sold out of Pygmy Puffs. DD was very disappointed. Does anybody know how often they restock? The cashier said that even the warehouse was out.

I don't think they anticipated the popularity of those things. I wouldn't have either. I read somewhere that they don't anticipate more until August and then they will be getting purple ones too.

Pygmy Puffs are a stuffed animal type thing. They're a good size, pink, puffy, with a small little face. I've also heard reports of a "naming ceremony" type thing when you buy one. It doesn't surprise me that they're sold out - it seems like everyone and their daughter was buying one. I'm pretty sure they'll have more by the time I go in October. ;)

Edit: Here's a photo from Inside the Magic:

What is the cost of those ugly things? My dd's will probably love them. I should prepare myself now.

I think they were $12 or so -- people have reported them being quite reasonably priced for a theme park stuffed animal.

What book were these in? -It's been awhile since I read the books, but I can't remember them for the life of me.

Book Six - Half Blood Prince. The Weasley twins had them in their shop and Ginny bought one named Arnold. They were bred to be smaller than the standard Pufflings which were considered a favorite pet in the wizarding world for kids because they fed on the kids' boogers while they slept at night. Pigmy Puffs were pink and purple and Harry thought they were girly.

They're a Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes product in their WonderWitch line ... Ginny purchases a purple one in Half-Blood Prince I think and names it Arnold.

Beat me to it!! :goodvibes

My niece would love one of those little puff things. I'll have to get one for her at some point for Christmas. :santa:

It doesn't surprise me. They are adorable. DD10 named hers Cotton Candy and is always lightly brushing it and carrying it around. We were able to attend the soft opening.

I've seen her carry the Pygmy Puff more than the wand we bought. I may get that wand from her and display it on our mantel along with Voldemort and Snapes wands.

My DD just saw it and she wants one too... I hope they get a big shipment of those critters ha! ha!

Pretty sure they also show one in the Half Blood Prince movie. It's a quick shot with the Pygmy Puff on Ginny's shoulder. Almost positive it's when the kids on are Hogwart's Express.

EDIT: This page actually shows screenshots of the two times the Puffs were shown in the film.

hmmm. . . Thanks!

I was kind-of hoping they were some kind of fancy pastries! :goodvibes I think we'll be passing on these.

Its cute...but it kind of looks like a mouse that stuck its paw in a light socket. It'd be cuter without the ears.

I'll probably still end up with one though :lmao:

They look more evil on this picture ha!

My daughter wanted one and was disapointed they were sold out. But she ended up getting a cute pygmy puff shirt, that she is wearing as I type. And for a stuffed animal she ended up getting the three headed dog fluffy. Which I thought was cooler anyhow!
