Putting faces to the voices

Now that the first video show is out I was wondering what people thought about putting faces to the voices. I know that when I first met the Podcasters in person I had (and sometimes still do have) a hard time reconciling my preconceived notion of what they looked like to their real world selves.

So, for those that haven't met the cast before, did they look like you thought they did?

I've met almost everyone (except Teresa, Kathy and Dustin) but being FB friends has helped.

I had listened long before seeing any photos, videos or meeting them in person. I always pictured the cast of the Office .

It is strange to hear such familiar voices coming from unfamiliar faces.
I did get to meet Pete at the VA meet in 2011, so I got used to it then.
Kevin and John are usually more camera-shy, so I admit seeing them was unusual. Kevin looks like Mathew Perry to me, and I did not expect that.

I had seen pictures before so I had an idea of faces already but to see mannerisms in play was pretty great! I always pictured John's dry sense of humor accompanied by a very straight face. But to see that he is a dry smirker makes me like him even more. And great glasses, Kevin!

Pete, don't take this the wrong way but when you ordered the camera to "switch to" you, your eyes had a Rodney Dangerfield look about them. Hysterical!

Oh, my gosh! You are right, I had never actually made the connection but now that you say it, I can see it.

I first met some of the crew at a gathering at The Swan (may have been the first one). Dh and I met Bawb at that one and loved meeting him.

The next one was going to be a special gathering, and I guess it it was very special, it became Bob's Memorial Gathering at Gaylord Palms. I remember Dh and I were a little lost trying to find the room but as we were walking around I heard Kevin's voice and I said "Mike, that's it I recognize the voice".
It turned out to be a very special gathering and we met and visited with several of my favorite people.

I listen to the podcasts every morning while walking. Today, I finished my walk with about 20 minutes left so I watched the last part.

Yes, meeting Bawb is something we cherish.

As often as you guys go, I wouldn't be surprised if we hadn't seen you at some point and just didn't know it.

I had seen pictures, but it was quite different seeing you all in action. I thought you all looked great, so I hope I don't offend with my comments...

• Kevin - I kept thinking Drew Carey (see this picture http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...=X&ei=CFMUUe74EumSiALQ1YD4Aw&ved=0CIABEP4dMAw). Not so much in mannerisms, but just the look with the glasses and face shape.

• Pete - I have seen a few pictures, so Pete was not a surprise to me. However, i thought Pete looked thinner than the pics I have seen...and hey, who doesn't want to look thinner!

• John, Teresa, Kathy, Corey, Julie - all looked very much like pics I have seen of them.

Since I have never had the pleasure of meeting the team in person, I truly enjoyed the video. It just brought me one step closer to feeling like part of the party.

You're eyes (or the camera) don't deceive you. Pete has lost a bunch of weight recently.

I had that face/voice matching experience when I met Pete, Walter, John and Kevin in London, but since I listen to the podcasts in the car sometimes, my kids are used to the voices. When I was watching last night, my six year old came up with wide eyes and said "Mom - is that the Dis team? They are so old. I thought they were Andrew's age but they are almost as old as you!!!" I found this funny because Andrew (his brother) is 14.

LOVE the video podcast. I didn't expect video to add so much but it really does (although seeing the FL foliage behind Pete for 3 hours made me really jealous).
Does anyone know if they are downloadable? I'd love to watch on the train ride home.
