We have cruised 5 times on The Magic but this will be our first time on The Fantasy!!! How is the putt putt golf? We have 2 in our family that love putt putt - is there a charge for this? Are the waiting times to play horrendous? Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

We went up to play putt putt one morning right after breakfast. There was not a soul in sight - except for a small maintenance crew doing some cleaning. They had the clubs and balls sitting out waiting. It's a super cute little course - very much has the Disney touch, but there aren't very many holes. I didn't count - maybe 5??? It was just right to keep the attention of 3 and 5 year old boys.

And yes, it was VERY VERY windy up there!!!

When we've done it it's always been late morning or early afternoon, and still, we really haven't had much of a wait. Agreed that it's not that big, I think five holes as well. And agreed on the VERY windy part! :) I've seen pictures and mentions of Goofy joining for golf, but I've never seen him. It's another fun activity on the ship - we spent maybe 25 minutes doing it.

And to answer AndreAggie - I've never heard about putt putt golf on CC

We actually saw Goofy playing the course with the family that was right behind us. Our kids thought that was pretty cool. It has always been very windy when we've played. The course actually has 9 holes. My DH has very fair skin, so the time it takes us to play is about his limit for being up on deck 13.

It's a fun course. They have the typical short, medium, and long clubs and the colored balls. For each of the 9 holes they actually have an easy and hard start point. We play 18 holes, playing the course twice, once from each of the start holes for each hole. It is very seldom busy at all. They have scorecards also.

The hole you putt in is about 8 inches in diameter. Much larger than any putt-putt course I've seen. For two of us it takes about 15 minutes taking our time to play 9 holes. Pretty fun, even for 2 adults.

I didn't think they did, shot in the dark! We took our son on Carnival out of our home port and there was putt putt on the ship. I'm hoping he'll be distracted on the Wonder enough that he won't be too upset once he realizes there's no putt putt!

I think this just means we need to book on the Dream or Fantasy next. ;)

the holes are pretty easy so it moves quickly. There are 9 holes and I think we went through them in about 15 mins, but the kids loved it.

We like it, we played it on Fantasy, it is fun, and since it is free, that's even better!

I think they also usually have a chip and putt game in the atrium at least once per cruise. Check your daily Navigator. It uses a Velcro mat and plastic balls. My son-in-law is a golf pro and did not do very well at this :-)

In my times sitting on the aft deck outside Meridian I've seen at least three golf balls go over the edge of Deck 13 and land on Deck 12, and I've seen a few golf balls rolling around out there as well. Make sure everybody in your party knows that the tee shot doesn't require a driver.:tongue::tongue:

We got off the Fantasy and played on a port day when we did not go on a shore excursion. DH and I had a good time only one other group playing at the time.
