Does anyone know if Push the garbage can is still in Disneyland? Years ago it was in Tomorrowland. Our family used to love watching the interaction with people - so clever. I think that there was also a stroller that interacted with people - can't remember those details.

Sadly Push has been gone since 2014. He was around for almost 20 years, and then they terminated the contract with the performer. Was he at Disneyland? I only remember him being at Disneyworld. My DD used to love that garbage can when she was little.

Oh, that makes me sad - I was hoping that the grand kids would get to see him!

We have such happy memories of Push. Our last whole family trip was in 2014 before our oldest went off to college. It was a different world then and we all agreed to not have our phones in the park. We low and behold while we were enjoying ice in Tomorrowland Push snuck up on my then 14 year old daughter. She was oblivious but we all saw it. He siblings were laughing and she was confused. Finally she looked over at Push who was right next to her and jiggled it's lid. She screamed and then laughed. We were all laughing. My kids through the years have lamented that they wished we would have gotten it on video but honestly I think it's so memorable because we weren't attached to our phones.

I miss Push.

Oh yes, PUSH was very much at Disneyland, originally at Tomorrowland. Sometime after DCA opened he moved to Highway 49, which was nice because of the wider pathways at DCA, so it was easier for him to move around and gather a crowd.

I also met his cousin Pipa (Swahili for "barrel") at Animal Kingdom once. Pipa went past me while I was looking at an exhibit in Conservation Station, but I heard a voice behind me and realized that the CM controlling him was using me for cover. After Pipa opened the door (using the wheelchair button) and went outside (followed at a discreet distance by the CM), I followed and watched him interact with kids for a while. Great fun. I miss both PUSH and Pipa.

Our first trip to DL was when are DD just turned 3. We ran into Push at Star Traders shortly after we entered the park. After that she looked at every trashcan to see if they talked. Such a simple thing that brought so many great memories
