I'm trying to talk DH into a December DW trip, so I've been reading up on everything again. Anyway, I've read in several places that in the Osborne Family Lights, there is a lighted purple cat that the CM's put in different places each year for the guests to find. I guess it was part of the Osborne family's Halloween decorations that got grabbed by accident when they took the Christmas lights. Does anyone have a picture of this or has anyone seen this? Thanks.

I don't have a picture but I have seen it - usually I know where to look from reading online. This past year I forgot to check ahead of time and did look for it but I didn't scour the lights to find it.

Thanks! At least now I know what to look for. I love this kind of thing, like the hidden Mickey's. It just adds even more magic to an already magical event.

Anyone seen him lately? I've never been for Christmas but I am working as much magic as I can (and as much overtime to pay for it!!)

Nebo told me he saw it this past Christmas in a stairwell off of the main street. I didn't see it myself.

He was there. We saw him but had to get help from a CM. He was very well hidden.

this is one of our favorite things to look for and the hidden mickeys so this past dec. we couldn't find the cat so my dd asked the cm and he was over by the room with the leg lamp. i love the osborne lights!!!

Oh my Mickey! I wish we would have known about this! As you can tell by my sig, DH and I are total cat people. He would have LOVED this!

I found him this year but with a little help from a CM. When I asked for help he asked if I wanted to know exactly or if I waned a hint. I took the hint and was able to find it.

Same thing w/ us.

We looked and looked and could not find that darn cat! I know the folks around us were wondering what we were looking for. I finally asked a CM and she gave us a hint. FINALLY I spotted it. This year it was really hidden, I would have never found it if it wasn't for the hint!

We did the same thing looked all over for it and couldn't find him. We were standing there and i was flicking through pictures i had already taken and there was a purple stripe of lights sticking in the side of the one pic. We were standing right in front of the spot and low and behold there it was. It was tricky this year, i can usually find him pretty quickly.

I was soooo proud of myself to find the cat this year without any hints, BUT it did take a long time and both DH and I slowly covered every inch of the lights for nearly an hour.

It was a lot of fun. DH thought I was a little crazy and way too obsessed about doing this, but isn't the obsessive fun part of what WDW is about?

This year was our first time to see the Osborne Lights. It took us 2 walk throughs to find the purple cat, but I didn't realize he was harder to find this year.

We also saw a lot of hidden Mickeys...and after so many times we found the "Singing in the Rain" umbrella.

We saw it before we realized what it was. It's more pink than purple, btw.

Glad to know it is still there mom and dad couldn't find it this year. But it was very, very crowded the day they went.
