purple cat in Osborne Family Lights

Somehow, they always manage to hide it in plain sight. I've searched and searched, only to have it pointed out in a fairly obvious spot!

Found it just last week - all by myself I might add
I refused to ask a CM and I have never seen the lights before so wasn't even sure exactly what I was looking for or what size it was. After two VERY SLOW strolls through the lights I found it!!

We looked for the leg lamp last year and could not find it. Does any one know where it is at or even better have a picture of the location.

We are going again this Christmas and I would love to see it.

our 11yr dd actually found him lastweek while we were there. the hot cocoa always taste better at the osborne lights.

Definitely there - this was our 2nd trip with the Osborne lights and first time finding purple cat. I was looking for him, and a CM saw me looking, and he came and showed me, though HE had a bit of a hard time finding it. Though others have mentioned where it is, I won't spoil, but I will say you have to sort of be standing in just the right spot to see it. The CM also told me the story that it was accidently packed in with the original decorations from Jennings Osborne, and apparently was a halloween decoration. The CM decided to put it up anyways, and it has become a tradition. I gotta say, I am not big into Griswoldian Christmas lights, but the Osborne lights are so ridiculously over the top that they are just awesome and my favorite things about Disney World at Christmas. The Purrple Cat hung is just icing on the cake.

DH found him for the first time a couple weeks ago, our third year of seeing the Osborne Lights! It was well-hidden, but he happened to catch a glimpse of it.

This is pretty cool. I've never been to Hollywood Studios and will be there Friday and of course now I HAVE to look for this and get a pic.

Wow, I'm so embarassed! I've been a total Disney Dork for years now and never knew about the cat. Thanks for the little bit of trivia! You can bet I'll be looking for it Saturday night!

I agree!! I found the cat last week but remember thinking I was at the perfect "spot" to see it but I was so excited. Of course people then came over looking at what I had been taking pictures of ~ you either got it or you didn't . I did explain the story to a few and they thought it was cool too!

I hope those going soon have a great time finding the cat!!

Purple is my favorite color. How could I have missed that in 2007? Thank you for posting the photos. When we're able to go again I'll watch closely for it to see if it's still there.

Just back...and have to say they really did a great job on hidding the cat this year!! Really great spot!! Also really loved the osborne tribute! !! Nice touch!!!
