Purchasing park tickets on LMTClub

Hey, all! Question for those who have purchased tickets from LMTClub:

As you know, you have to choose an available date when you purchase tickets, as seen in this screenshot:

When we used LMTClub for Disneyland tickets last year, the date we selected didn't matter as the expiration countdown for the tickets didn't begin until our first use.

Is that the same way for Universal tickets? If we buy them now for use in September, will they expire before we even get there?
