Purchasing a front load washer/ dryer

I think we are going to buy a new washer/ dryer on Black Friday.
Are there any "extras" we will need to buy in addition to the washer/dryer itself? My husband thinks he saw something about a high-pressure hose. I know the electrical cord for the dryer is not provided, buy I am hoping we can use our existing one. Thanks in advance.

Great question! I am hoping to get a new one as well but will be going in alone. My husband will be out of town. I never thought about the extra items. I just knew they would ask about extended warranty. Which set are you looking at getting?

Other than a new cord for the dryer I did not have to get any extras when I bought my set last year.

I am looking at getting a the Samsung set from Best Buy. They are on sale for $599 each. They have really good customer reviews, and are on sale for less than 1/2 price each. Definately worth getting up at 3 am! I never thought I would use these smilies together, but here it goes......

I am getting my Samsung from Sears, 1K for both washer and dryer. I didn't know they don't come with cord???

Other than a new cord for the dryer I did not have to get any extras when I bought my set last year.

You may have to get a new vent, we did the last time because that way they can be sure the old one isn't plugged up and if there was a fire it wouldn't be due to their dryer.

We just bought an LG front load washer and dryer by having Home Depot pricematch the current Best Buy sale price of $349 for the washer and $387.11 for the gas dryer. We also purchased the recommended flexible dryer vent ($10)and gas line connector ($20) as they recommend that they be replaced when the dryer is replaced and ours are pretty old. Best of all, Home Depot delivers for free and will haul away the old appliances for free.
