Purchasing 1 AP, best price on tickets for rest of the family?

Thanks to this board, I've learned about the benefits of purchasing 1 AP to get the hotel discount for our upcoming pre-cruise trip in March. One of the benefits of the AP is to get "15% off multi-day tickets at the gate for up to 3 people (I think - could be more)". I also read that purchasing at the gate is more expensive than in advance.

My question is, what's the best price...at the gate with AP discount or in advance for 2 adults and 1 child for 2 day park to park ticket?

Take the online price, add $20, subtract 15%, add 6.5% tax

Compare this to undercover tourist and online price.

I'm new to these boards and was wondering about the hotel discounts for AP holders. I was thinking we should buy one pass to get the discounts but I don't know how it works or what the discount would be. Could you share any info on this?

I put the AP benefit chart in the quick access sticky

You can see the perks what each of the 4 types of AP allow

I have the preferred AP and it also allows discounted rooms

Also allows 10% discount off of food and merch, discounts on tickets and special event tickets such as Hhn,
Discounts for booked tours at UO,
Discounts at selected places in city walk

For buying the AP for hotel discounts, all 4 of the AP categories have that benefit

Room discounts vary per date and hotel
Right now, AP rates have been released thru may 26 only

You can book a room at rack rate and modify it later to the AP rate when more dates are released

There are time periods that won't have AP rates or a limited number of rooms allowed for that discount

Discount rates vary. Use the code aph in the promotions box. They are only posted a few months in advance.

And you don't need the AP in order to book the rate. Only buy it (or plan to buy it) after you have an AP rate booked.
