Has anyone purchased the green AP vouchers at WDW (to be converted to APs later)? I know you can get the vouchers by mail, then convert them at the park later, but I want to get just the vouchers now, when I am at WDW, to avoid the summer price increase and also because I can get a rebate on gift cards at my local grocery store.

This leads to a second question: Can gift cards be used to purchase AP Vouchers? I don't want to be stuck with a lot of $50 Disney-only gift cards. The Disney guidance on this type of purchase is unclear.

Yes, you can use gift cards to buy ticket media at the parks. I do not know though about getting vouchers while you are there.

We can sell AP Exchange Certificates at the parks. They will not be green and will look as any other ticket but will indicate that it is an exchange voucher which needs to be activated.

However, there will be a problem in using $50 gift cards for the purchase. The Automated Ticketing System allows no more than three payment types for any transaction. And each separate credit, debit, or gift card is considered, by the system, as a separate payment type. That said, if you are staying at a resort you can get the AP voucher charged to your room account, and you can use an unlimited number of gift cards for the payment of that.

Good info - have to remember that for the future!
