Our local news ran a short story this eveniing about airfare. It advised to not wait around to purchase airline tickets and there is an expected major increase in prices due to fuel prices. They said since people would be buying airfare before the price increase that it is even more urgent that those wanting popular vacation destinations not delay as their would then be a shortage of seats.
First, I was a little concerned. I've been putting off buying our tickets and thought I should hurry up and buy.
But, now I'm thinking haven't fuel prices been on this rollercoaster for a good while now. Our gasoline at the pump price did go up $.11 this weekend
but it is the same price as last October.
What do you think? Do you think this news story was blown out of proportion or is there truth to it?
