Puppy pictures!

Just thought y'all would like to see pictures of my newest baby, Miami. She was a gift to my mom and I from a friend of ours. The friend lives in Florida and I went down to visit her over labor day weekend. When her and her fiance met me at the airport, they had Miami with them and it was a total shock to me (she told my mom the night before after they got the puppy).

Miami and her "Big Dog," Lacey. She ADORES Lacey and if you ask her where her Big Dog is, she runs over to Lacey. Miami is hilariously protective of Lacey. If I yell at Lacey, who is about 60 pounds, little 2-pound Miami gets in between us and will not let me near Lacey.

Oh my, how cute Miami is. I keep thinking I would like a Yorkie for my next pup. Miami is a Yorki, right?

Yep, she's a yorkie. Just please either go to a rescue or a GOOD breeder (one that limits the amount of breeding, does health screenings on both parents AND puppies, will be there for the puppy's entire lifetime, etc). She was a pet store puppy. When we got her she had a cough. We took her to the vets several times (and saw several different vets) and got everything from "oh, it's kennel cough" to "she's a small dog and small dogs cough sometimes, you just have to deal with it." Finally, I went to a different vet clinic and the 5th vet I saw said it looks like she has an enlarged heart. Now, with $600 already into vet care, I have to take her to a specialist to see for sure what's going on. The initial consultation could cost me anywhere from $1200 to $2000 plus whatever treatment they decide she needs.
