Pumpkins, Pirates & Poppins-A Magical Halloween Cruise W/PICS-COMPLETE!!!!!

Thanks for taking us all along on your trip. I agree that Disney is wonderful when it comes to the small details, they really make you want to slow down and look around.

Your trip report has only made me more exicted for my cruise which is exactly one year away! :lmao:

Thanks again,
Lessa

Melanie,

On my last cruise I did the PassPorter Treasure Hunt which opened your eyes to the many details on the ship. I highly recommend it! As for the above picture, where is this Disney ship? I haven't seen it and would like to find it on my next trip. TIA!

Melanie,

Thanks for a great diversion on this crummy, crummy day here in North Carolina. We just moved up here from Weston, FL, and not only am I homesick, I am nursing a bad cold. What a great way to get lost in your TR! Thanks for letting me sail with you. It's been a long 8 months since our Eastern Magic. My own TR is lost somewhere here.

Great pictures! Makes me lonely for my beloved Magic ;)

Melanie, thanks for sharing your very special cruise with us! It has been a great trip - looking forward to your next one!
Tammie.....it might be awhile before our next Disney trip. The next cruise will probably be Oct 2009 but we might be doing a California trip next fall & that will definetly include a trip to the motherland...aka Disneyland & I would definetly write a trippie about that.

If my memory serves me correctly Jennifer, it was over on the wall in a pleixglass display area between the guest services desk & the shore excursion desk. I think.......it is really cool. I have another picture that isn't as close up. I will post it when I get home from work later.

I would love to know where that boat is too

Please do a trippie Jackie......it will give me another way to keep on reliving our trip. It was so great & it was made even better by being able to spend time with all my new DIS friends.

Thanks Dan.......I love the details.

Well, I am glad I could bring you some happiness & keep you entertained. It will be a long time before we are back on the Magic.....but I may try to talk my DH into a Wonder cruise in between to tied us over.

What a wonderful trip report. I loved every minute of it. Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it Kay.

My camera is being a fussy thing this weekend. I have taken some pictures of our Chrismtas decorations to post & hopefully will be able to post those later this evening.

In summary, this trip really was a great way to celebrate my 40th birthday. I did not think one time about turning 40 because I was having too much fun & really enjoying all the activities onboard the Disney Magic. I highly recommend it!!!!!!!!!

Highlights of the trip........so many!!!!!!!!!
Winning the Halloween costume contest for Most Disney on my 40th birthday dressed as Mary Poppins & Bert.

Getting to meet Don "Ducky" Williams & winning one of his drawings.

Getting to know DIS buddies before the trip here on the DIS & then meeting them onboard & having so much fun hanging out with such great people. It was so nice to see familiar faces all around the ship--for planned things & just running into people. I think we have formed some real true friendships & I look forward to cruising with my DIS buddies again in the future.

Spa time........spent together in the Rainforest room & having a hot stone massage on my Birthday.

Watching Disney shows in the beautiful Walt Disney theater & getting all misty.

All our wonderful meals at Palo...dinner & tea for us & my DIS ladies Brunch.

Hanging out in Rockin' Bar D & getting to know the cruise staff.

Seeing the Wonder & Magic side-by-side.

There were really no bad things except the rocky waters/weather/sea conditions, but overall they really didn't bother us. Our only disappointment was in not getting to Castaway Cay.

It was a trip of dreams & wishes come true & I cannot wait to sail upon the beautiful blue sea with my wonderful husband & hopefully some DIS friends again soon aboard a lovely Disney ship--because really is there any other cruise line where you can dress up like a pirate & Mary Poppins all in one week?

Until next time.......
Mary & Bert bid you a fond cheerio & for good measure I hope you found this trip report at least in part "practically perfect in every way" because that is exactly how I felt about this trip.

Thanks for reading.

I enjoyed the heck out of your trippie :goodvibes We have been on three Disney cruises and are booked for our fourth this summer the Mexican Riviera. I feel we are spoiled for other cruise lines. We are looking at NCL for Hawaii but we don't get to dress like pirates that's for sure. It seems my measuring stick is the Magic/Wonder!

Thanks for sharing!

TK

I don't have any of the outside of the house....it is very simple with a lighted wreath on the door, candles in the window & a Christmas flag. We usually put up icicle lights, but DH hasn't gotten around to it this year yet....and may not since it's already Dec 11th now.
Family room tree........a lot Disney but other ornaments too.

Dan, I got those several years ago at the Disney Catalog outlet. They probably have newer ones now. I would do a search on Disney shopping.
